Book 7. Spellcheck
Australian witch, Amelia Spelled, has had her fill of murders, but this one takes the cake. Her boyfriend, Alder, has been battered in the line of duty, so his attempts to help are half-baked.
When she takes cupcakes to the local nursing home, she is met with a frosted reception by the subsequent murder victim.
A wardrobe malfunction puts the icing on the cake, as Amelia struggles to solve the murder before the new detectives in town turn up the heat.
Will Amelia be left with egg on her face or will she rise to the occasion and solve the murder?

Book 8. The Halloween Love Spell
When Marina Mercer comes to claim her yearly spell, Amelia’s protests fall on deaf years. The last Halloween love spell nearly got Amelia killed; the house is distracted, and Amelia accidentally cooks up something she shouldn't.
Who is responsible for the murder of Amelia’s obnoxious bank loan manager? As there are so many variables, the police lose interest and are keen to withdraw from the case. And will Amelia’s investigations be of no account, or will they be given credit?
One thing is for certain: mayhem and burned cupcakes will ensue, as Amelia and foxy Private Detective Alder Vervain try to solve the murder while finding time for romance.
You can bank on that!

Book 9. Spell It Out
For Amelia Spelled, it's another case of déjà brew when a man dies at a Tea Leaf Reading. Amelia and Camino are among the witnesses. Only trouble is, they were both asleep at the time. Luckily, Amelia is soon brewing up a solution, along with her trusty friends, who are out to prove there is a tea in team.
When the murderer draws a little too close for comfort, will the house come to the rescue, or is Amelia in for a steep shock? Alder has something on his mind, and this time, it's not solving the murder. Will he spell it out, or will Amelia be left guessing?
One thing is for sure, it's best to not chai this at home.

The continued stories of Amelia Spelled.

Spellcheck (The Kitchen Witch #7)
Amelia agrees to donate cupcakes to the senior home for a morning tea. Upon arrival, they meet one of the most unpleasant ladies to ever have lived. She's rude, obnoxious, and has no filter on her mouth. When during the refreshment break, Celia suddenly keels over dead. When the medic determines that she was poisoned. The two detectives go for the easy solution so they can return to the city. Poisoned cupcake means the pastry store owner killed one of the residences.

Another fun story with lots of humor, and well-developed characters.

The Halloween Love Spell (The Kitchen Witch #8)

Amelia is once again forced to do a spell for the relative of one of her grandmother's friends. The two ladies had made an unbreakable pact.
This time it's a love spell. She also decides to cast a spell to cause her plant to flourish. She accidentally causes the person (who banished her grandmother's spirit to her house, and her grandfather's spirit to the yard, keeping them apart forever to come back.
Amelia is also trying to get a loan to repair her bakery's beams that had had termite damage in the past. The loan officer was a real jerk, and shortly afterward's he is dead. Since Amelia was the last one to see him, she is the natural suspect.

Spell it Out (The Kitchen Witch #9)

Aurelius Matters, The boss of the Gum Leaf Tea company lay dead at the bottom of the building where his company had sponsored a tea reading outing as a gift from a large client.

It turns out that the man was a notorious womanizer, with multiple partners (married or not).

As detective Barrett is determined to pin what he can on Amelia, she and her friends have no choice but to investigate.

Their suspects are any possible victim, or their spouse of one of his many affairs. There's also the possibility of an unacknowledged offspring.

Another fun story from Morgana Best. She has the ability to describe characters and scenery in a way that makes it easy to visualize the areas and people being described.

This is a cosy set with each book having murder for our lovely witches to solve.
I love how the house reacts to the bad people and protects Amelia.

Crazy Australian Antics

It's a good thing Amelia has good friends. Bat guano crazy friends, but good nonetheless. They take care of each other.
