Simple and repetitive for adults. Touch and freely for children.

I found this contribution to the 'That's Not My...' books a little weird - the pictures were great but I found referring the elves as 'it's a bit strange since they're clearly more people than animals. I'm trying to remember what the 'That's Not My Pirate' one did and I'm pretty sure that used he and she. It's probably well past time in English we started referring to any individual animate life forms (elves and animals included) as they!

I’m really liking these Touchy Feely books. There are interactive and fun. Though I’m too young yet to have independent control of my fingers and prefer Tom scratch the page with all of them at once. Still it’s progress!

Yet another for the Christmas Book Box / Book Advent Calendar. Yes, these books are repetitive, but they are great fun for littlies. My 4-year-old niece loves them because she can 'read' them easily, even without yet being able to decode all of the words.

This is a cute little book at my daughter (2.5yrs) really loves to look at and it great for spreading the holiday spirit. Its perfect as one of the books that she gets for her advent calender.

This isn’t my favourite in the series as there is a little repetition and the ‘shiny’ isn’t something the child can really feel.

Nothing special and very basic, but kiddo was intrigued by it and wanted to read it again immediately.

I don't get the fascination with this series. There's no story and it's annoying. But my baby occasionally likes touching the feely parts.

I got this as part of my hostess rewards from my Usborne party. It's a little old my daughter now that she's 2, but we plan to have another kid which is why i got this and a box set of "That's not my Zoo" with all the zoo animal books. But my daughter did enjoy this because it was an elf and it was Christmas time. While we read it, she did enjoy finding the spot on each page that had texture. She enjoyed it enough while we read it, but it hasn't been one of the books that she's picked up on her own. But I hear amazing things about babies loving this series and I can see why.

It’s been great for years as the kiddos are getting bigger.

This continues to be a winner. The touch and feel is great for the younger readers and the text is great for the 5yo that’s learning to read. (2020 update)

A bright and colourful picture book. My son particularly loves the button texture and the scratchy noise it makes.
