About the author

Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.

The book has sixteen pages of black and white photos from the series.

Each of the main characters is covered in this book, telling what they were doing before the series along with their favorite things such as favorite movies, actor/actress, bands, color, hobbies, ways to relax, sport, TV show besides SVH, book, food and favorite sports team.

Things some of them were doing before they got on the series were being a cheerleader and doing TV commercials.

This part is followed by material on Francine Pascal, Sweet Valley in the bookstores, how the series went from book form to television and trivia.

If you are a fan of the series you will definitely want to add this book to your collection.

I learned that the Sweet Valley High creator, Francine Pascal, wrote poetry in high school and started her writing career with non-fiction for magazines. She was married to a journalist that she wrote with on books, plays and television projects. She and her husband also collaborated with her brother; a successful playwright.
