Can Jessica hide her past?

Jeremy Aames is the perfect guy for Jessica Wakefield.  He's cute, smart--and he doesn't know any of the terrible rumors that are flying around about her.  But will she be able to keep this great new guy from meeting anyone she's ever known before and hearing the horrible stories? Doubtful.

---
Okay.
How am I going to work this?
Jeremy CANNOT find out about my reputation.
Which means I can't let him meet...
ANYONE I've EVER known in my ENTIRE life.
That'll be easy.
Yeah, right.

Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.

I am ready to see something happen between Elizabeth and Conner. On one hand the fact that they live together is an issue. However, the slowness of the relationship is hard! I wonder why Conner wont open up. Seems like he doesn’t date much and if he does its just for the kissing and such. Not the deep side of a relationship. I am liking the story between Jessica and Jeremy. I am hoping they can help each other heal. They both are going through a lot!

As long as it’s not horribly bad, I’m going to keep giving these books 5 stars. Because nostalgia!
But seriously this one! I mean, Jess and Liz pulling a switcharoo and Liz being the irresponsible one!
And plus the kiss!!
And plus Jess and Jeremy, yes please!

The story is now about to get better (for Jessica) now that Jeremy is in the picture. I’m on edge just as much as I was when I read this series 20 years ago.

Not as good as the original series, but still not a bad book. Sometimes it's nice to go back and revisit the books I read growing up. The Wakefields are always entertaining.

This is the first book in the senior year series that I have read. I've previously read various regular Sweet Valley High books and Sweet Valley Twins books, so I'm fairly familiar with the series.

To my this book is amazingly terrible. It violates the spirit of Sweet Valley High.

First, this is not the first book in the series. It seems that, unlike the other series, these books have to be read in order since the event in this one made virtually no sense at all. For example, somewhere along the line there was an earthquake. Elizabeth is living with some guy and Jessica seems to be staying at the Fowlers. What led to this? No idea.

Jessica is outcast at school and considered a slut. What led to this?

Elizabeth's character has changed considerably. Did one more year of high school make that difference? No idea.

There's also simply too many characters (like the old saying too many cooks spoil the broth.) I'm not saying don't add new people once in a while but don't throw a boatload of them in and expect it to make any sense.

Jessica has also changed. In the other series if someone had tried to slander her reputation she would have fought back like a tiger. Here she just seems to take it. Again, why?

This has really turned me off as far as reading any more of the senior year series.

So apparently my uncles and aunts all like to think that this and Enid Blyton are the kinds of books I like to read.

God, save me from the torture. But I was out of books and this ended up being a last resort to keep my sanity intact. Result? Nostalgia. I remember the good ol' days as a newbie bookworm before I got sucked into the world of fandoms and ships and heartache, just how much I used to love reading these and about the Olsen Twins and Fear Street and that felt great.

Still not a story for me. Too much moderate Gossip Girl. *cringe*

I like this book. I have it in a different cover, given by Lauren.

The story starts with Jess replacing Liz to work at HOJ and meets Jeremy for the first time. I've always wondered how they meet, and I like it. He's really sweet to her but Jess is always blowing him off coz she does not want to be seen with him and get mocked at.

The ending is hanging though. But it's still a good read.

This is another Sweet Valley book that I recently reread. In hindsight I probably prefer the Senior Year series to SVU due to how much more realistic it is, but I don't think I read many of the books as a teenager.
