Hot, hardworking senior Jeremy Aames has found someone special. She's not like other girls. She's Jessica Wakefield...and she's everything he ever dreamed a girlfriend would be.
Jeremy was used to having days when everything fell apart. He had no idea what to do about them. He wished there was someone who could make the whole world disappear... Then he met her. And all Jessica Wakefield had to do was smile.

Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.
I am glad something is finally happening between Elizabeth and Conner. I am hoping with Ken helping Maria that he will start to come out of his shell. I wonder if a relationship will happen between them. I really like that Jeremy sticks up for Jessica. It’s terrible that his dad has a heart attack and not able to go over to her. I hope their relationship grows in the next book! I hope will breaks up with Melissa in the next book too!

This teenage romance novel was published 25 years ago, and it's exactly what I expected -- quick and uncomplicated. It's refreshing to read such books when reading a string of high quality books proves to be overwhelming. I enjoyed the colorful mental image this gave me; the color scheme is fit for '90s tv series. I wish I could find a romance novel written around this time that is more nuanced, though.
I’m actually really enjoying these they don’t seem to be as silly as the og SVH books, and hearing different povs is cool. I like who Jessica is a lot more in this series. She actually seems relatable. Liz seems like her usual dick self, cause you don’t dare your best friends ex when you know she just broke up with him and you know she’s still in love with him.
9/10 Ohmy, the drama of sweet valley!! Jess and Jeremy and Liz and Connor and uuugggghhhhh, Melissa! This one wasn’t quite as juicy and exciting as the first four, but ohhhhh, the drama.
I liked Conner because he was the bad boy who liked to brood (admit it, we have a thing for that kind of guy, we do), Jeremy is the exact opposite. He's sweet, he's responsible, basically he's everything you wanna have in a guy lah.
I fell for him too. Gahahaha. But not as intense as I was with Conner. What's the deal with bad boys, anyways?
