Francine Paula Pascal was an American author best known for her Sweet Valley series of young adult novels. Sweet Valley High, the backbone of the collection, was made into a television series, which led to several spin-offs, including The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University. Although most of these books were published in the 1980s and 1990s, they remained so popular that several titles were re-released decades later.
I think this is the first mention of Enid in about forty books. She's mentioned in book one, and then in book two I'm pretty sure, and then nothing. Granted, it's just the teacher going "Ms Rollins can you please read ..." but like it's weird that Liz thinks nothing of this. Mostly because even though she's back with Jeffrey French, who know goes by Jeff, which is stupid, because Jeffrey is a much nicer name imo, she's still obsessed with connor, even though he is not at all obsessed with her. Or interested in her. He's in love with Alanna, which is all kinds of unhealthy, but like ... Liz, WTF? This is a guy you barely dated, cheated on you, treated you like crap, dated YOUR BEST FRIEND BEFORE DATING YOU WHICH MAKES YOU DISLOYAL AF, and only ever made you unhappy. Jeffrey is literally a decent guy who just wants to be with you, and never makes you unhappy. Liz sort-of realises this, but also it's clear she's still deluded.
I have a feeling that lately I don't like the later editions of SVH. This book is about Liz crushing on Conner again although he's still in love with Alanna. The only part I love is Jeremy and Jessica getting sick together after a feast at a seafood place :)
