Extremely satisfied with her progress in pairs skating, Nikki Simon becomes concerned that the sudden romantic attentions of her partner, Alex, will become a problem, since she has no interest in being his girlfriend. Original.
The thrilling tale of a girl who gets into trouble with her boyfriend beacuse her skating partner gets too friendly with her.
Wait a second... this isn't Skate School.
Yeah Nikki and the rest are tons more realistic than Skate School. Silver Blades is a CLUB not a school. This somehow makes it more believable, even though Jill does go to the Ice Academy in book 4, you can see that it was hard work to get there, not a chance meeting with the director.
This one was a little more Skate-Schooly, scenario-wise. Alex is kind of annying, there are about four books related to him and Nikki, him and Haley, him just generally being a eejit on his own- it never ends. If I were Nikki, I would only stick with him because he fits her skating style etc. He is a real pain.
A realistic Novice skater setting, but there is too much telling instead of showing and the story doesn't deal with any universal emotions beyond "does he like me?"
