This Book was AMAZEBALLZ!! I really enjoy a great zombie read, but this far from apocalyptic. Caesar's zombie reign was written better than any other book, biography, or movie depiction I've ever read or seen. This was so creative and the realism in the storytelling of each century was so in sync. I was invested in the protection and saving of Rome although I know in reality I don't agree with Roman politics then or now. This book made you want to be apart of the change, because change came whether you wanted it or believed it. This book was telling a whole different story of how the undead were teaching the living to be better people. Because the undead are going to work together to survive longer than the living without bias, prejudice, bigotry, politics or racism. Ceasar had to not only figure out his own self-worth, but the worth of more than just Rome. I still don't like Ceasar at all, but the Ceasar written in this book was learning from all his enemies, and friends on how to be not just a leader, but an engineer in making Rome sustainable for future generations through the zombie crisis. The author really pulled you into the mayhem and adventure of the progress of the characters and there stories, plots, and conclusion. I tell you them damn B.C. Zombies would not be cast in a Walker Zombie role on film they are too evolved!!

Life's too short to read books this bad.

I didn't read this enough to critique the plot. Two chapters and the lousy writing lost me. There was no atmosphere, no sense of place, no immersion, no characterization, buckets of modern cliches. I cruised forward but it didn't improve. For this, electrons were enslaved. (Well, at least we don't have to complain about trees being killed for it.)

Not surprising after way too many pages of puffery at the opening. That's never a good sign. Zombies? Often cheap schtick, but *World War Z* was a favorite book of mine. Of course, it's the exact opposite of this cheap pile.that
