The Dear Hunter

Rate this book
It was just an average day for Detective Sarah Johnson, when gunfire shatters the afternoon. When the fighting is done Sarah is battling for life and four people are dead. Her recovery is slow, filled with thoughts of her father’s old cabin in northern Michigan, and when she finally returns there all she wants is to rest. Instead, Sarah is returned to the day before the shooting, in a world very different than her own. Soon, Sarah learns the truth. Dad’s cabin is a link between worlds, accessible only on the 15th of November and only for a handful of days. Yet, in those days Sarah can right some of the wrongs of the prior year, to steal back the innocent from death’s icy grasp. Here, the only thing that’s universal is murder, and as she follows the path of a man terrorizing her city, she's forced to make hard choices about who will live and who will stay dead.
