It's A Scream Girl Talk 31
PLOT: One of Sabrina's brother's short films has gained him a submission into a film festival where he'll compete for an award. Following his interest in horror films he decides to make a film about zombies. Sabrina seeing this as her big chance to show off her acting skills auditions and gets the lead role because there is no competition when it comes to her scream. But during the filming her over-active imagination starts to see things that lead her to believe her science teacher is using mind control on one of her friend's.

MY THOUGHTS: So much RIDICULOUSNESS in this book! Based off nothing but a classroom full of test tubes and seeing a hand sticking out the back of her science teacher's car (which COME ON haven't you heard of props and you're trying to be an aspiring actress?) Sabrina is immediately convinced that her science teacher is some kind of alien whose out to put everyone under his evil mind control schemes to take over the world (like in a Pinky and the Brain plot). Unh hunh. Her friends (Katie, and Allison) who think this is just as insane as we do (at first) don't take long to let Sabrina sway them enough to sneak off in the middle of the night to investigate what he's up to at the school along with Randy (who one second ago tells Sabrina she's jumping to conclusions) goes along with them "just to make sure." (Smacks forehead). Then Sabrina is 12 (although sometimes by looking at book cover's they somehow always manage to make girl's this age look like they are in at least the lower grades in high school) and she seriously thinks she's having a "moment" with a COLLEGE GUY. He's in COLLEGE and you're in the SEVENTH GRADE!!!! Which brings up another question. Sabrina's brother is in college, yet he explains this by wanting the kids to be younger in his film but aren't there any high schoolers or I don't know COLLEGE kid's his own age that he can use in his film?

RATING: 5 This plot line of this book is just absurd to me!
