Look out world, here she comes.
Zoe Lake has been through everything: Chatty ghosts, murderous sphinxes, crazy covens – and even a broken heart.
Somehow, though, she’s survived.
Senior year is finally here, and Zoe is ready to move forward. She and her werewolf boyfriend Aric are back on solid ground, and Zoe is ready to finish what she started – both academically and personally.
The Academy is still in operation, but their leadership is listless and Zoe is steering clear. She has new roommates, and new drama, but all Zoe is focused on is getting out of Covenant College alive.
When a human tableau of bodies appears on campus, and Zoe becomes a suspect, things shift. Again. Aric is working hard to keep her safe, and roommates Kelsey and Paris are (as always) along for the ride. All the usual suspects are in play … but the stakes are higher than ever.
When the final showdown comes, everyone has to pick a side. The ultimate battle for Covenant College is about to begin – and neither army is looking to take prisoners.
When the end comes, who will be left standing?

This is the fifth and final book in the Covenant College young adult series.

When I was a kid, I was torn between whether or not I was going to grow up and be the Incredible Hulk or Wonder Woman. I flirted with being a Jedi Knight for awhile, but I wasn't up for the intense travel associated with the gig. In my teens, I settled on being a writer -- although I had no idea the effort that would entail.
Not only am I a writer now, but I'm a writer in several different mediums. I'm a longtime newspaper reporter, an avid reader and a voracious science fiction fanatic.

This was the final book in the series and I really enjoyed both it, and the series as a whole. I liked the way the threads were tied up in this book and also where Zoe and Aric's story went. There weren't any great surprises in this read but it was a still a quick, entertaining and engaging read. I also liked that the paranormal elements in this book didn't take themselves too seriously and the dark humour and sarcasm and snark , especially from Zoe. I am looking forward to starting the next series about Zoe and Aric and will definitely read more books by this author

I wouldn’t have predicted how much I’ve enjoyed this series based on the first book. I hated most of the characters and found the teen drama overwhelming. But the author built up some interesting personalities and the plot shaped into an intriguing supernatural story.

Zoe is back with Aric and I couldn’t be happier. They make a great team and pretty much all the Evils are aligned against them. Someone is going all out to frame Zoe for all the crazy things that have happened on campus since she arrived, and the police are following her every move. The murders are coming fast and furious while Zoe and Aric struggle to find out who is behind all the mayhem.

I wasn’t very surprised when the mastermind was revealed, but I had fun getting to the climactic reveal. Lots of people to both love and hate here, plus some of those frustrating “are you seriously going to do this?“ moments.

I’m glad I stuck around and finished the story. Make sure you read these books in order or you’ll ruin the experience.

beyond entertaining

I started reading this serious after reading another series by this author. I was dubious at first as Zoe takes a bit too grow on you. However, she is HILARIOUS and I want her friends for my own. Lol:)
These books are not reality based at all which is part of what makes them so much fun. I get that the author's sense of humour may not be for everyone, but it certainly entertained me well! I would suggest this book to anyone who likes sarcastic humor with some paranormal thrown in:)

The storyline felt a little rushed but perhaps that is just because I knew it was the last one in the series. I still enjoyed every minute of it. I am a little sad to say good bye to the Covenant College Crew but think Ms. Lee wrapped the series up well.

Ah, finally we see who's pulling the strings and what the end game is! We also see Zoe with some interesting powers and her & Aric are so sickeningly sweet sometimes that it makes your teeth hurt, but that's ok since they can also fight like cats & dogs.

Once again, we have some annoying roommates and one of them is always after Aric. With as much talk that Zoe does to Kate, I'm really surprised she doesn't take a little more action in keeping Kate away from Aric or that he doesn't just put his foot down & tell her to leave him alone. Oh and we have another roommate go missing.

When I reached the end, I was sad that I wasn't going to have any more of Zoe "Sassy Mouth" Lake to read, but then I find that there are 2 trilogies that have her & Aric in them, so I think I will have to look at getting those.

This is the final book in this series, and Zoe and Aric are going strong. However, while they are trying to deal with their life now and the drama surrounding Zoe's roommates, things start to heat up when Zoe is being blamed for murder. But the cops may not really think it is her, however, she's going to do everything she can to find the culprit and finally put an end to this.

This book was really good and great way to end the series. I loved Zoe and Aric together, and I felt like this one concluding things in a really great way! I'm also excited to read the next series and the one after that about Zoe and Aric's life.

A little disappointing

Zoe is back for her final year as a student.. now sharing a house with 6 others the extra two being Heather, who starts dating Mark, and Kate, who is so obsessed with Aric she constantly badgers him and puts Zoe down.

10 bodies appear arranged in a pentagram outside the library, Zoe is first on the scene and is once again on the police radar.. how she's supposed to have arranged 10 bodies in daylight without anyone noticing doesn't seem to bother the police.. Zoe + dead body = trouble..

Blake is trying to find out what happened at the end of the previous year.. Mark is still shifty.. and there's a new problem at the college.. Governor Kennedy Reagan, running for both the local elections and the wolf elections. Running on a plurality and purebred card he is in direct opposition to Aric's father and tensions are high especially when Will turns up as his intern..

I had expected this to be a bigger stronger story than the previous 4 but it fell a little short.. if these didn't interconnect with the Deaths Gate/Grimlock series I would have stopped reading.. maybe it's just the young adult genre.. anyhoo I guess I will try the next installment and hope it picks up.

I honestly don't know how many words can express my feelings about these books and this author. I downloaded all these 5 books on audiobook and when I saw it was 36 hours I was dubious about it. I started on 26 March 2021 and I can quite happily say that every night and every opportunity I have had, I have listened and got completely hooked on the books, the plots and the characters!!! As soon as I started to get engrossed in this, I started researching and found out there was another trilogy (25 hours) which continues when they leave college. That was downloaded as well. All in all there is over 61 hours of fantastic writing from an extremely talented author. I LOVED EVERY SINGLE PART OF IT. There were not any moments of the plot dragging, I didn't get bored once and that is astonishing when you think of 61 hours!!! Do not hesitate for one second to read/listen to these books. They deliver on every single level.

Senior year has them discovering the secrets of the college

What I enjoyed:
* It was nice to finally meet Aric's parents and to have the long awaited sit down with Zoe's
* We find out the real power behind The Academy
* Zoe and Aric are good together, but only because he gives in on everything. I'm disappointed Zoe hadn't considered anything about graduating - where she would live, applying for jobs, etc

What could have been better:
* I realize they are in college, but wow are they self-absorbed
* I was super disappointed

Zoe comes to the end of college .....

.... but will she survive to get to the end.

Aric and Zoe are back. Aric is working and Zoe is on her last year at college.

There are 2 new housemates and life seems settled but things get a lot worse. First party has Aric being cornered and flirted with by new housemate Kate. Heather the other new housemate starts dating Mark which worries Zoe and upsets Paris.

Rafael also has problems in this one too with Fiona his girlfriend/friend added as another new face.

Zoe stumbles on 10 dead bodies in the shape of a pentagram. Now the police are watching her every move. Odd events start to happen and Zoe is in deep.

Everything happens quickly nearer the end of the book. Somethings get resolved as Zoe reaches the end of colldge.

A fast paced and event packed read, but not the end. I am looking forward to Zoe and Aric's new adventure.

So, I finally finished reading the Covenant College series. I've avoided it because I do NOT like YA lit. Unfortunately, references to Covenant College and people from there keep cropping up in other series, so I felt I had to get caught up. My feelings on the series? First, there was every bit as much mean girl drama and boyfriend drama as I expect from YA writing, which is the major reason I avoid the entire genre as much as possible. Second, I felt a need to slog through all the aforementioned drama to find out what was happening; this is a testament to the storytelling skill of the author. Can I recommend it? Maybe ... if the drama is your thing. The MCs were compelling enough, and, good news, they managed to grow up and move on to other series.

That was a great read! I liked all 5 books. The first book was alright, but sometimes the introduction to new characters is a bit boring. The other 4 books were really good and kept me wanting more. I couldn’t stop reading! They were really fun. I wish Zoe would have done more magic, because magic is my favorite, but other than that I loved them all. Now I’m going to find another book (maybe a series) by Amanda M. Lee because I enjoy the snark. Happy reading!

Add-on: I found out that there are a few books after this series that are about Zoe and Aric’s life…together…5 years after she graduates! That was something that brought me happiness the moment I saw. Yay! It’s called “Living Covenant” (The Complete Trilogy).

🎇 Zoe is so Sarcastic And Funny - I mean i really don't get how she is always housed with the weirdest drips, but its funny to read about

🎇 Move over Brittany Kate is in the house! Literally!

🎇 I think those cops are some of the worst ever..... I mean asking teenagers how they should do their job!

🎇 Paris and Zoe BFF, felt for Zoe when she was crying shes usually so snarky!

🎇 Kate may need a bigger doorway to fit her head through.

🎇 Some people shouldn't have been let off so lightly.

Cant say Much as dont want to Ruin the book. but Zoe's Final year Back at college with her sweetheart Eric and New Housemates is all kind of Laughs and intriguing.

A good finish for the series. Zoe and Aric are back on campus. While Aric graduated in the previous story, his interest in Zoe keeps him here. And Zoe? She just wants to graduate. New roommates. More antics. More unsolicited trouble. But the final resolution was a bit anticlimactic as it was behind the scenes which was probably for the best.

Action-packed. Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Funny. Romantic. Scary. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.

This Is The End?

CovenantCollege5

It’s senior year, finally. Zoe, Paris and Kelsey have a bigger house and two more roommates.

Aric is still a hussy magnet. And now politics rears its ugly head on campus, via the governor who is seeking reelection. He is a werewolf with a “sister-wives” agenda. Ick.

The Academy is not quite defanged, because Dr Blake is still on campus, but at least Zoe’s time here is coming to a close.

Overall this was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 series.
Funny, engaging and cute, however the story was a bit too focused on the academic and personal college life and too little on the supernatural side, and what was supernatural wasn’t too developed.
It was still entertaining, and the ending was satisfying albeit a bit rushed.
It was a cool audiobook experience nevertheless.

Just keeps getting better

The whole world Amanda M Lee created is awe inspiring. And just keeps getting better. A snarky heroine, Alpha male boyfriend, kickass BFF, and twists and turns galore; what more could you ask for. The entire series kept me hooked to the detriment of sleep , but I just couldn't put it down.

So the last in this series

First, loved this book, loved this series, love these characters. I know their story continues, but how enjoyable to see their early years. Really an outstanding author, thank you Amanda. And, again, the cover artwork is excellent. Fantastic all the easy around.

So, one thing I've noticed with this series..... it builds, it builds, it twists, it turns, it builds, and then it ends. Just done. All that build up for a small climax at the end. Maybe I'm looking for more of a big battle.

Zoe doesn’t disappoint in her final year! More mystery, more dead bodies, more sarcasm. Finals and graduation are a relief after everything else. I’m looking forward to seeing Zoe and Aric again in the Living Covenant trilogy.

For senior year, Zoe should deal with something beyond the werewolves, vampires, witches, and ghosts she has already confronted with her mage powers. I know, let's stir it all up and throw in a mass murdering serial killer on campus. Who will make it to graduation? Good luck, Zoe!

Not my favorite series. Zoe Lake seems to immature throughout this series. It also didn’t end the way I thought it would. I was expecting events referred to in later series to happen here. They did not.

Great book

Great ending to wrap up the college years. I'll be reading the next set as soon as possible and I forsee being highly entertained while I do! Staying ahead of audience expectations in a series is often difficult, but Amanda Lee manages to do just that. Kudos!

This is the 5th & last book in the Covenant College Series. It was a great series. I stayed up late most nights just to finish a book. I already knew the heroine from crossovers by the author, so it's been interesting learning about her beginnings. I'm on to Living Covenant Trilogy series.

I have read this trilogy five times and I know I will read it again and again. I love the way Amanda Lee writes. You feel her character’s.
To me they are larger than life.
You cannot go wrong reading one of Ms Lee’s books. They make the day a little brighter.

Graduating

It's the final year of college for Zoe and her friends. As usual, trouble finds them. Bodies show up on campus and Zoe is a suspect. Enemies, magic and a deadly showdown. Great series and characters. Magic, mystery, and humor. No cliffhanger and hea.
