description
This coloring book is based on Carol P Roman's Oh Susannah: It's in the Bag and Oh Susannah: Things That Go Bump books.

The Oh Susannah series focuses on Susannah Maya Logan - a young girl with big problems.

In the first book, Susannah keeps getting more and more homework, so she stuffs it into her backpack. She gets an invitation to a sleepover at a spooky house and puts it in the bag too. The more things she receives (and doesn't want), the more stuffed her bag becomes...until it is full to the seams. Something's got to give...and soon!

In the second book, Susannah does decide to go to the sleepover because it's with her best friend (Lola). But sleeping over at someone's house is always a bit scary...but when you add in the fact that Lola's house actually is rather spooky...yikes!

This coloring book provides pivotal scenes from each of the two children's books in black-and-white form so the children can illustrate their own versions of Oh Susannah.

I thought the images were well chosen and the drawing were sweet. I liked the consistency in quality and they really were quite fun to color in!

A great little color book. Some pages a little easier than others, but all with a definition to help with fine motor skills of the hands. There are also pages with some questions (printed in a cursive type, which I feel is brilliant) to help the reader/colorer write what they comprehend from the pictures they colored. Roman and her illustrator, Mateya Arkova, have worked well on this one to include loads of learning skills. I would recommend this for young readers.

Oh, Susannah Color With Me by Carole P. Roman, with wonderful illustrations by Mateya Arkova, is a perfect accompaniment to the series. The pictures are ready to color and incredibly detailed. They match the action of the stories, which allows readers to relive the read through artistic expression by coloring the images so well-drawn by Ms. Arkova.
