Daring to ask for more

This is a very interesting book with many stories to describe the points author wants to reveal to us. A lot of the stories take place in Asia and Africa.

I saw a number of interviews with the author on various television shows where she describes her mission and her activities, as well as talking about this book. That is what inspired me to read it.

I thought it was going to be about prayer life focussed on praying scripture, and it does touch on that but it is more about the expected Christian way of thinking and not so much about learning to love and know the Lord through prayer. It’s more about expecting big things from God and getting them.

Wow! Melody Mason is such a gifted writer and an amazingly thoughtful and engaging individual who’s thoughts poor out of each page. This is an excellent, practical book about the power of prayer. It doesn't make it seem easy, and I believe it's not, but if we want the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in our churches, I believe we will have to follow many of the guidelines laid out in this book. This book affected my life and habits. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to be challenged to pray more often and more fervently for bigger things.

It was very informative and encouraging. The power in asking God for more is real. The author did an exceptional job of reminding me that no task is too small or even too large for God. The initial the story involving Alexander the Great set the tone for what I was to expect throughout the entirety of the book.

By showing that I believe that God can do all things (via prayer), not only will I bring him joy, but I will also build my own faith and trust with him. I listened to this book in one day and it was a great experience.

I definitely see this as a book that I will come back to in the future to remind myself that no request is too small or large for God.

One of the best books on prayer that I've ever read. How to have a changed prayer life. Quote from book page 21, "We need a much deeper spiritual experience than we have yet imagined possible. We need a much deeper prayer life. We need a much deeper faith in God's word. The reality is that we have been spiritual dwarfs when God is calling us, modern-day Israel, to become spiritual giants standing in the gap, interceding for the lost."
