Jeanne St. James worked magic with this book. The story of Hawk and Kiki is one of life's epic struggles we all face at some point in life. Is love worth the struggle, others opinions and the impact it could have our lives both individually and collectively. Hawk.and Kiki faced this dilemma of epic proportions. The one most affected by far, would be Kiki, not only would she be dating a client, but also n outlaw biker. Hawk didn't dare let himself hope that she work ultimately choose him over her career, but ultimately, that is exactly what she did, despite the obvious dangers, as well as the possible consequences in her professional life, a love like we all dream and hope for win out.
Ms. St James writing draws you into the story in such a way that you feel like you are reading about the lives of close friends, ones whom you truly begin to hope will end up together because you can see their love for each other. You can't go wrong with this book.... Read it today.... I dare you....

So this one is a bit dark. Lots of trigger warnings here, so take heed.
Still a great read. Sexy as ever with lots of heart. Just the way I like em.
Secondary plots moving, but at a snails 🐌 pace. Still very interesting reveals.
Hawk and Kiki are sweet and explosive together. Loved their banter and chemistry. But as always, loved the bond with the brotherhood more.
Based on books 1-3, I would recommend this series.

Pretty much the same story except different names. We still can't complete sentences and there is more grunting. The end got a little interesting with a rival club starting trouble. I'm done with the series.

I read your story one night and fell for you and your world. Your story started out as one filled with humor and a bit of angst, but bloomed brilliantly into one of passion and love. Your woman, Kiki, is amazing and full of sass, passion, intelligence, and beauty. I am so glad you found her; she is (without a doubt) your match. Your challenge in Kiki only makes your ending that much better. I cannot tell you how many times I swooned over your words or actions for Kiki.
Your story was also filled with a chapter of heart break, horror, pain, fear, and agony. I hurt for you and Kiki, and I cried for the pain that you both had to endure. I know that in the end you both overcame and were stronger for it; but what a way to get there. The triggers that this chapter includes were semi-graphic, raw and extremely emotional; but I truly feel that I could not have enjoyed or understood your story without it. It was difficult to read, but worth the pain.

I was vacillating between 3 or 4 stars. Something about the writing just felt off to me, I found it clunky in a lot of places and the dialogue wasn’t smooth. I also didn’t super love it and I don’t find this memorable. Hence the downgrade to 3 stars.

These books tend to follow a pattern of tough, misogynistic bikers who do what they want and “don’t answer to women” and blah blah blah. However, this mindset and behavior cover the deeper feelings these bikers have for the women that they choose. It’s biker romance, and it’s redeemable, with no cheating and HEA’s. There are times when this author gives scenarios in the books that doesn’t always reach a satisfactory conclusion. It’ll be some big issue that you think is gonna come in it just fades into the background. I didn’t mind this, though, because the relationships are interesting and the love scenes are hot. But in this book, with the rape, it was completely unnecessary. The girl raped was just a girl, she wasn’t a main character, and I don’t know if she’s getting her own book in the future, but I certainly hope so, because that would make reading about her trauma more bearable. The situation did not reach a redemptive conclusion. The other characters did not behave with the gravity of the situation in the way you’d think they would. The book didn’t need that scene whatsoever. The main characters already knew they wanted each other. It wasn’t a bridge for them to brilliantly realize they had to be together. There was no need for the abuse at all. It was this heartbreaking drama that unfolded, and then you’re rushed over it into the main characters HEA, and it’s like, wait, what about the victim!?
I get the feeling each book is adding to a bigger picture of the entire fate of the MC, based on some of the things that go unfinished or left for the future. And even though each book is technically a stand-alone, I recommend reading each one to follow the bigger picture better. At least I hope there is a bigger picture, or else I’m just wasting my time. I’ll post a review at the end of the series. I still plan on reading them. The books are still good enough, but this one threw me for a bit of a loop.
**And if the author is reading this, for the love of God, put the family tree page in the front of the book, not the back. The blood brothers and club brothers and cousins and everything else are often convoluted and confusing. It would be nice to have that info at the beginning and not the end. And if Jazz doesn’t have her own book, get to work, cause she definitely deserves it.

The best way to describe this book is opposites attract. You wouldn’t expect these two to come together but because they are so different, I feel it is why it works so well. Neither of them is looking for something more but their connection couldn’t be denied.
I really enjoyed Kiki’s character even though you don’t see her and think ol’ lady by any means. She also doesn’t think poorly of anyone who looks like Hawk or his friends, I think that is an important mindset for characters who seem like they are out of someone else league. I even sometimes felt like she thought she wasn’t good enough for him.
Hawk is so gruff and manly that when he set his sights on Kiki I thought to myself oh girl you’re in for the ride of your life….I wasn’t wrong. This book takes you on a journey of seeing one thing and believing another. It really does show you all sides of a situation and how one comes out either on top or maybe not so on top.
I am left with half a heart full and my other half wanting closure. Not for the two main characters but for another who needs the most fantastic HEA ever.
I am a fan of Tor Thom and his voice, I am so, so glad we get Ava back I am finding I really like her voice. I want more!

best of the three. absolutely loved it. romance with bite .. the good girl and the bad boy ... some really nasty business towards the end of this one .. but a nice hea and a good lead in to the next book. really looking forward to that one.

Man you want hot read this.
Hawk by far would have to be my favorite in this series by jeanne st james. Its so much more in every way compared to the other two books wich i also loved. But Hawks book was amazing i loved the connection between kawk and kiki she gave as good as she got wich secretly hawk loved. She was no house mouse she was his equal and didnt let him forget it either . The scenes where kiki and jazz were kidnapped broke my heart and i hope that in future books we get to find out if jazz is ok ? Hopefully she will have a book of her own?. But yeah awesome read , im so glad that i came across this author while stalking amazon for MC books because this is one series i wouldnt mind getting in paperback.

Hawk is the VP of the club. He and another brother got arrested when they found a few of the other club that has been stirring up trouble and beat the crap out of them.
Kiki, who by the way hates her name, is the clubs new attorney. When she shows up to talk to Hawk before going to court it's lust at first sight.
I'm only giving these books so far because it's all repetitive. I think the men only know one word to say to their woman...Babe... all the women can say is Honey. Come on... come up with something different. The men who mostly are supposed to be business savy talk like they never made it out of grammar school and the women are supposed to be classy . The writing is decent but it's the same ol same ol thing. Will try one more and hopefully the author will have had a wake up call.

This one sure had a memorable meeting between the main couple. I couldn't help but to laugh, Kiki was so over her head, yet something about Hawk drew her in. I liked that she felt the attraction too and went for it. Kiki had a big learning curve as she started hanging out with Hawk. Both of them seemed to be battling for control of the relationship, which caused some problems. The drama with the Shadow Warriors came raging back in a huge way in the later part of this one. I was stunned at what they tried to do and later what they did. I hated how people were hurt and fear a bigger battle will be coming between the 2 clubs. I did like how this one ended between Hawk and Kiki, them still battling for control of their relationship, but having fun doing it.

Read it. Loved it! Who'd have thought big, tough, Mowhawked Hawk would have a soft side? Who knew anyone could tame him or make him want to give up his philandering ways with Sweetbutts? Introducing Kiki, a tough as nails lawyer who doesn't take crap from anyone, but sure as hell knows how to dish it out when needed. I loved their banter and chemistry. I loved this storyline and both characters were just the right amount of endearing and annoying to make them real. Another slam dunk in this MC series. This was a good book up to around 78%... I don't like when authors don't warn me about traumatic or especially violent crimes being described. It bothered me for several days afterward.

So let me start by saying the heroine wasn't raped but a side character was and it wasn't exactly on screen but it wasn't exactly off either. If this is a trigger for you - there's your warning.
This is my favorite so far! I'm so glad I didn't give up after the first two. Especially book 2 which was a fucking dumpster fire.
It stars and you think oh great book 1 all over again. Stuck up judgy heroine.. WRONG! Kiki is amazing. She's so badass and I loved her. She had some initial reservations but she wasn't catty worth other women or thinking she was better than anyone. She and Hawk both just weren't quite sure they'd work long term.
As you can guess from my warning this one was pretty dark but it was also amazing.

This one kicks off right where book 2 left us—Hawk, the club’s VP, in jail. 🚔 Enter Kiki, the club’s new attorney, and let me just say…the banter between these two had me laughing out loud. 😂 Their chemistry is electric, and watching them clash only to realize how right they are for each other was pure fun.
On the darker side, tension ramps up between DAMC and a rival club, leading to a brutal assault on two DAMC women. ⚠️ Definitely check trigger warnings, because those scenes were tough to read.
Overall, I’m loving this gritty little series. The perfect mix of heat, humor, and MC drama. 🏍️🔥

The narration was great and the narrators were able to convey all the emotions I was feeling as I listened to this book.
This was am emotional roller coaster of a story. Raw, gritty and oh so dark; not for the faint of heart. Hawk drew me in and I was totally riveted. Hawk is a powerful story of love, learning to trust and about believing in someone.
This was my first book from Jeanne St James and it won’t be my last. I will be going and getting the other books on the series as soon as I can.

Hawk and KiKi's story has everything you love in an MC Romance. Action, Suspance and Hot Alpha Males. This story has dark elements that makes the story much more intense. Hawk's story is my favorite in this series. I love all the books each one great all on its on but this one stands out more for me. I fell in love with all the character's in this MC family.

Jesus! I just love Mc Romance. The Alpha big rough dominant and sexy as fuck man in Harley. It's just too fucking hot to ignore the man in Mc, isn't it? Especially when the woman they fall into is not the submissive type. That's where the good part start. And, Hawk? Oh Jesus that man could just drown me and I still die happy with him.
The Heroin? I have always loved the good and strong woman as a character it was a challenge to the Alpha man. And Kiki is not a disappointment.
I was hoping to read this Series till it's over and I highly recommended this. :)

One thing I love about my MC reads whether it's sweet or gritty is watching a hot alpha biker finding and getting his "woman".
Kiki is the clubs newly assigned lawyer and Hawk is her first case. Loved the differences between the two and watching them make it work. I have to say I am enjoying this series.

Not bad
I dnf'd the first book in this series and I've read the Biker x lawyer trope enough to know that it works and I couldn't hardly put this down. I think it was mostly the push and pull between Kiki and Hawk that kept me hooked.

With each book, I want more! I love these characters. Hawk and Kiki were fantastic. Hawk was a real bossy bugger, and Kiki gave a good back. Great addition to this series.

I’ve been enjoying the series, but I really wish it had a CW for kidnapping and assault. I still liked the book, but there were some pages I skipped due to the storyline.

This is a hard book to read. I can't remember if there is a disclaimer, but one DAMC family member is brutally beaten and violated. Halk's ol' lady is also brutally beaten. I can say, I'm enjoying this world build and can't wait for it all to come together.

4.5 Stars. I really enjoyed this one and have put it on my re-read shelf. This is the third book in the series and by far the best. I enjoyed
but was a little disappointed in the second book
. I absolutely loved the characters in this book. Kiki is a smart, professional lawyer assigned to represent the club. Hawk, the VP, has landed in jail and Kiki arrives to represent him. The subsequent witty banter and dialogue between the two of them had me laughing out loud more than once. She's strong and while Hawk's the ultimate alpha male he knows when to back down. There's no cheating. I'm so much looking forward to the next book in this series. I highly recommend this one to everyone who loves a good MC romance with strong characters and some humor to make you laugh.

. I absolutely loved the characters in this book. Kiki is a smart, professional lawyer assigned to represent the club. Hawk, the VP, has landed in jail and Kiki arrives to represent him. The subsequent witty banter and dialogue between the two of them had me laughing out loud more than once. She's strong and while Hawk's the ultimate alpha male he knows when to back down. There's no cheating. I'm so much looking forward to the next book in this series. I highly recommend this one to everyone who loves a good MC romance with strong characters and some humor to make you laugh.

Man, this one was hard to rate. The first I'd say 80% was so freaking great, but the last 20% was handled so poorly, that it kind of ruined the book for me. I've decided that for the sake of the review, since so much of the book was good, that I'd kind of do a two-parter. One part focusing on the majority of the book, which I liked, and then a second part for what was wrong.
So without further ado:
Part 1 -
The first 80% of Hawk's book.
I found it, I found it, I found it! The first MC romance that I can actually enjoy! This is exactly what I've wanted a MC romance to be, and I've finally found it. High five, Ms. St. James.
When I read Down & Dirty: Zak, it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, but the potential was there. I could feel it. I knew if I kept up with this series, I would get the book I craved, and here it is.
Hawk is f*cking perfect. Tough, built, hot, alpha as f*ck. Seriously, so yummy. And Kiki! I loved her! An amazing heroine. Tough, but not in a I-have-to-fight-about-everything-so-you-know-I'm-tough kind of way. I love how she took everything in stride. Didn't bitch and moan about the men in the club. Just enjoyed Hawk and how they felt about each other. She is the MC heroine I've been waiting for! Usually the women in these books are written so whiny or bitchy or they're damaged in some way. Kiki is smart, strong, confident. Just wonderful.
Their storyline is great. I love the whole "we're from different worlds" thing. As others have said, it's similar to Zak and Sophie's story, but this one is done so much better. This is the way I had hoped Zak's book had gone but didn't, so I'm glad the author revisited the idea. I thought the ex-husband thing was a good little side story. And I really love how strong Kiki was and how she handled everything that got thrown at her.
I did love the idea of the Warrior's kidnapping thing, and I was super excited about having Hawk come in, save the day, and kick ass. Unfortunately, that is not how it went down. Which leads to the second part of my review.

The last 20% of the book - Spoilers below!
So, if you've read the disclaimer, what I'm about to tell you shouldn't be a surprise. There is a rape scene in this book. Although the reader doesn't experience the actual rape, there is enough information given about what precedes it and the aftermath, that it's pretty horrific. Now, I'm not super sensitive to rape scenes in books as long as it fits - like it's important in context or for the development of the character - but when it's done for no reason, I have a problem with it.
My problem with the rape in this book is not with how graphic it is, but rather who it happens to and how the main characters handle it afterwards.
One of the secondary females in this book is a young woman named Jazz who is basically Hawk's housekeeper - a house mouse related to Grizz I believe. Anyway, towards the end of the book, Kiki is attacked in Hawk's driveway. She knows Jazz is at home, so she screams for her help. Unfortunately for Jazz, when she comes out, she is also attacked and the two women are kidnapped. In the hideout the two scumbags find, Kiki wakes up and they're pulling Jazz into the house. Then they get ready to rape Jazz, Kiki screams at them, they knock Kiki out, and while she's out the rape happens. When Kiki wakes up, they begin to attempt to rape her, too, but the cavalry arrives at just the right moment.
My issue is that Jazz was basically put into this book as cannon fodder. And because we don't read any of the book through her perspective, we get no closure to the trauma of the experience. It feels so unfinished because we don't know her and we don't know how she feels or how she's coping. I assume the whole thing was put in so that the author can bring Jazz back and give her a story, but the problem is that now the author has shifted the focus of this book so that we can no longer pay attention to the main characters. Honestly, how can we get excited about Kiki and Hawk getting together when we just want to know how Jazz is doing? It was a bad call. The sex scene between the main characters after the rape was so uncomfortable. I know the book says it was two weeks after the ordeal for them, but for the reader it was just two pages ago. It's hard to get through.
My other issue is that we see no remorse or guilt from Kiki. Obviously, the men are entirely at fault, but Jazz would never have been taken if Kiki hadn't called for her. There has to be some guilt there, wouldn't you think? I think I would have felt a little more closure if Kiki had said something to Jazz or admitted her feelings to Hawk. Something, anything....The fact that Kiki never says anything about it makes her feel quite cold, which is so different from how she felt for the earlier parts of the book. It also shows that the rape had actually nothing to do with her character development, which makes it unnecessary to Kiki and Hawk's story. I wish that if the author was bound and determined to make Jazz a rape victim, that she include that story in Jazz's book, not this one.
So, anyway, that's how I felt, I love, love, loved Hawk and Kiki, as well as the majority of the book. I didn't like the back end - unfortunately so much so that I won't be able to put this on my re-read list. However, now that I know that the author is capable of writing MC romance characters that I enjoy, I will continue on with the series.
