How should Christians respond to evil and suffering in the world and in their own lives?

This book offers pastoral reflections on the reality of evil and suffering.

Christians can tackle the intellectual problems posed by the problem of evil with confidence. We are to encourage one another by God's promises and not only explanations. Believers are to show grace to those who suffer since they were given grace in suffering.

Solid reflections geared towards flourishing spiritually in the midst of suffering.

This is a great book for anyone going through a trial or tribulation. Warren Wiersbe does a great job of explaining how trials strengthen us and how God can use them. One of my favorite lines from the book is "So, the really big question is not "Why do bad things happen to good people?" but "What is the purpose of life?" Many thought provoking ideas in this book. It really helped me see how you can use a trial for a greater purpose in your life. I found the book very inspiring and helpful.

Book review When life falls apart! 5/5 stars

The Good: I have always like Wiersbe but I have never been the biggest fan of his books. But this book is in my mind his best I have ever read. The pacing the illustrations the story the truths, the details and depth all led to one conclusion God helps when life falls apart. I found his writing to be so helpful and brilliant and a blessing. The chapter on the truth of pain and trails are sometimes a gift from God may be his finest work.
The Bad: I don’t have much… I finished the book looking for something to critique but found nothing of substance that needed editing. The book of course is not perfect but is written well and would be helpful to any who read it.
Final thoughts: this is a good book a great book on trusting God when things don’t just work out how we thought they should. It will build your faith

Hope between the pages

Warren Wiersbe seldom disappoints. And one will only read this book "when life does disappoint". Which is good cuz it's balm for the soul applied at just the right time.
