Hi, there! My name is Mickey Miller and I write sexy, fun romance with smart characters. My books are great if you're looking for a light-hearted, steamy read with some humor and a happy ending! Happy reading!
SOOO...this book was...different. Like, utterly different than the other three in this series, and I'll be honest...I wasn't a fan. It was darker. Both have dead exes. He seemed more hung up on his than she did hers. I didn't like either of the main characters. Neither seemed to have an ounce of personality. I don't know what more to say about it. The entire plot (the heroine being bisexual and Jehovah Witness. The hero's weird sex dungeon in the basement of his club). The whole book just felt awkward and the relationship forced. Oh well, can't love them all I guess!
I've read a few books by this author and this one was unlike any of those. Especially because I didn't like it. It didn't even sound like something he would write. Ah well. You've got two characters who have lost loves. The hero seemed to still be grieving even after becoming involved with the heroine. Honestly, their match up made no sense and lacked any real heat. I didn't feel a connection and couldn't believe how unrealistic their relationship was. He's a kagillionaire who owns what seems to be the one club in town... and he's got a sex dungeon in the basement that he had put in for the love he's lost. She's an intern at his company who has been fantasizing about him when she takes time from being a walking talking contradiction - she's bisexual and a Jehovah's Witness. What?! Absolutely not my taste.
Hot and spicy! MMmm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I love these little tidbit novellas simply for the fact that they're quick and easy to read plus give you thrills and excitement, just when you need it the most.
The story is a familiar theme of an alpha millionaire, all dark and dreamy and a coed who is trying to raise money by selling her virginity. Plus, she happens to work for said dreamy millionaire/billionaire.
The story is fast, furious, very hot and spicy. So perfect for a pick me up whenever you need it. Just like I did.
Ok, so apparently I still have a thing for the alpha jerk billionaires because being inside Jacks's head in this book did it for me! Oh and he is a total jerk.
But then he kind of took it too far and I did not like the way he was acting. Poor Stacy.....innocent and pure, raised by a very religious family.....but apparently, she was a submissive at heart. How does that happen?
Just too much, too soon, and I needed them to take it slower. But it was a short story so I guess that just wasn't possible.
I received an ARC of this book through NetGalley for an honest review.
It's Stacy's turn to auction off her v-card, and she's got one man in mind for the deed. Mr. H., her boss where she's been interning. But of course he can never know she's been fantasizing about him, or that she's auctioning off her v-card.
Jack is a tormented man who loved once and lost her. Now he's closed off his heart to feelings. Until his hot little intern comes along and he snoops on her computer via his security software. What he finds is so hot and a little disturbing that he knows immediately what he must do.
I loved this installment of the Sorority Secrets series. It's a little darker because Jack is so damaged. Stacy's a bit bland, but their chemistry is smokin' hot. I'm pretty bummed that this is the second to last story of the series, I wish it were continuing with lots more stories to come.
I'm actually torn about this book. I've liked the other books in this series thus far, (even reading the 5th before this one), but this installment just doesn't sit well with me for some reason....ugh...
Stacy is one of the notorious sorority girls auctioning off their virginity in order to raise money for a good cause. At least that's how they see it. She's also an intern for a multimillionaire who she's been fantasizing about for a very long time. Fantasies come true, right?
Jack is the multimillionaire. He's also a class act A-hole who knows he's that why, but doesn't seem to care. At least not until he catches Stacy reading her auction profile on the company computer and company time. After reading her fantasy about him, he can't seem to let it go. In fact, he can't seem to let her go.
The concept/thought process of this story was all there. I think it's the male character I'm having a problem with. Although we know he's an A-hole, he's over the top. Even his endearments aren't, despite his proclamation that they are. I can't blame the female character though. I mean, her fantasies are coming true after all. So, there's that. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy a good cocky alpha, but I guess I just didn't get this one.
This was quite the little hot book. It didn’t seem to actually flow into the multiauthor event that the rest play by and I think this is book 4 not that there is any rhyme or reason to the numbering of the books. This book confuses me with ages really. Stacy or April is a full time employee of Mr. H, or Huston and yet still in a sorority. I liked this taboo element of boss and coworker. That part worked quite well. But it felt the author was trying to throw way too many elements into this book that didn’t all pan out. . I think if the elements were really chosen better this would have been a 5 because if all the spoiler tags were removed it would have been more focused and effective. It actually makes me sad that it didn’t pan out. ["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Rcvd an ARC At no cost to author..(netgalley) I have to say that this is my least favorite of the whole sorority secrets series. Jack was just a jerk, stayed that way in my eyes and then we have Stacy our sorority virgin, she bored me.
This was a short story between a boss and his employee and let me just say it was packed with some serious steam and a little taboo but still a good page turner for a quick read.
Tall, Dark, and Stormy is the fourth book in the Sorority Secrets series. The Sorority Secrets series is an anthology series surrounded around a virginity auction being held as a charity to help one of the Sorority Sisters' brother who was badly injured in a fire. These novels are complete standalones. Tall, Dark, and Stormy is told in Stacy and Jack's point of view.
Holy hell, I wasn't expecting this novel to be so damn dark and enticing. I legit read this in one sitting and under an hour. I ate this one up! Think, 50 Shades of Grey but in a more haunting and taboo environment. Jack and Stacy are perfect for each other. She's exactly the type of person he needs to get over his late fiancee.
Speaking of backstory's, one thing I dislike about novella type books, I always feel like I'm missing something and this one is no exception. I felt this could have easily been a great full length novel. I wanted more context and more emotion from these characters. I was left feeling a little underwhelmed. I needed a little bit more.
On a positive note, this is the first novel by Mickey Miller that I have read and I have to say, I'm impressed with the writing style. I can see myself picking up another novel by this author in the future.
My first read by this author but it definitely won’t be my last. I’m looking forward to checking out his other stories as this was a brilliant hot read.
This is book four in the Sorority Secrets series. I highly recommend you read them all and in order though they can be read as a standalone (but seriously they are so good why would you just read one).
Stacy along with another few friends in the Sorority is auctioning up her virginity for a cause close to her heart. Jack, Mr. H, is her rich boss. He’s had his heart broken and that’s turned him into a heartless boss. Stacys has turned a switch on in him but does he want to open up to her? Can he bid on her?
Great read. Read it quickly as it’s a novella. Sad to see this series end. Nice quickie to leave you in a hot mess lol
This is the penultimate book in the Sorority Secrets Series and its a short one. Coming in at only 60-odd pages, it sure packs enough steam into it though!
Although there’s a thread that ties the books in the series together, they are all standalones and very much each a unique piece.
Mr H is hot. As it’s a novella, there’s only so far we are able to delve into the characters and I yearned for more Mr H. That (more than) subtle hint at his dominance and general “Alpha-ness” could do with more pages.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This would be a great series to take away, knowing you can dip in and out and still finish a book each time.
Jack Houston is soooo hot!! Gah! Bossy billionaire? Yes, please! Another great Sorority Secrets read! I love this miniseries! All of the books can be read in about an hour and are steamy af!
**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**
Stacy, being a part of Beta Kappa Nu, has agreed to auction off her virginity to raise money for their sister's brother. Stacy just like the others put her ad up using an alas. She's scared who will win the bid for her. Working as an intern, she only has eyes for her sexy boss. She never expected that he would know about her crush but when he calls her into his office, she's terrified.
Jack was in love once but he's never wanted to experience the hurt he had in that relationship. What he's not expecting while watching his employees computer access is seeing his intern working on an ad to auction off her virginity. That only has him shocked but seeing he stars in her very vivid fantasy has him needing her in his office asap.
Tall, Dark and Stormy is a quick sexy read. I was intrigued by Jack and would love to see a novel on his character. Definiety the perfect book size to be able to finish when you don't have a ton of time.
Tall, Dark and Stormy (Sorority Secrets #4) by Mickey Miller 3.5 stars M/F Fantasy Romance I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.
Virgins auctioning off themselves in order to raise money to help a good cause...this is what Mr. H sees when he scans his employee computer data base, checking up on his people.
Stacy is an intern at Mr. H's company and she has fantasized about her boss for months. She is writing a story about her fantasy.
When Mr. H calls Stacy in to his office, he knows that he is wildly out of control. Despite that, he can't help himself.
This is a darker storyline than the other Sorority stories - both of these characters have painful pasts. I do wish that there were more character development. This is mostly their hookups and not much about their relationship. It's still entertaining, but it's really just about their physical relationship.
Jack had just fired Bob he had sent female employee Stacey -dick pictures and over the work mail. Jack did love firing people it made you feel like you have all the power in the world. Too many guys these days are lazy, unproductive employees who spend half their workday doing non work related activities. Jack was the heir to the Huston Hotel chain, Stacey was the college intern. Jack thought about Stacey, she dressed like she wanted to hide her hotness from the world. He wondered why? Jack checked Stacey and saw she had pulled up facebook then she went to another page- Beta Kappa Nu Virginity Auction. Stacey used the name April Ashley and she was actually auctioning off her virginity. Jack calls Stacey into the office. And lets her know he knows what she had been doing while at work and that she fantasized about him. She tells him she has only been with girls and just making out. But she wanted him no other man had ever attracted her Jack had been engaged three years ago to Cara then she had been killed in a car accident, Stacey had a similar thing with a girl she was going to have as a lover but the had been killed coming back to college Stacey’s freshman year. Jack wondered when he had turned so bitter and sour. Jack thought about the old him he Jack who was the life of the party and enjoyed life and didn’t grind his teeth every night. Stacey bought that out in him again even if he was ten years older than her. I didn’t think I would end up finishing this book as I didn’t particularly care for Jack at first but I decided to read a few more pages and before I knew it I had read the whole novella. I found I really liked it after all. I did like Jack and Stacey together. The pace was fast and that was fine. I would have liked this to have been longer and have more of a story before and after for Jack and Stacey. I have loved this series. I liked the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it.
This is book four in the Sorority Secrets series. I would recommend reading book one first, since that one explains the most about the premise of this series. Which is a little ridiculous...a fire burns down an animal shelter where the sisters of Beta Kappa Nu volunteer, leaving the animals homeless and seriously injuring the firefighting brother of one of the sorority sisters. In order to help raise money for medical bills and the shelter, the girls auction off their virginity.
Actually, now you don’t need to read the first book to understand what these books are about. That’s all you need to know! Each book is about a different sorority sister and the man who wins her in the auction.
Tall, Dark and Stormy was a little darker than the first three books. The story starts off with the hero firing an employee, and tells the reader how much he enjoys doing so. He doesn’t come off as a nice guy. He’s rich, he’s powerful, and he always gets his way. To that end, he’s put monitoring software on all his employee’s computers. Which is how he finds out his intern is auctioning off her virginity.
These books are short and steamy (I’d like to say sweet, but reading these out loud would make me blush). They are exactly what they promise to be: Dirty Bits. So no complaining about how ridiculous some of the things are that happen! Just go with it, and enjoy the ride. You’ll be glad you did. 😁

Mickey Miller is a new to me author and I enjoyed the style of writing and storytelling.
The main characters, Stacy and Jack have a ten year age gap that I liked a lot. Also, there's not much space for character development since the story is so short but it ticked all the right boxes for me.
Writing wise I think the author did a pretty good job. The structure is there, the flow is continuous since the beginning of the story and the ending it's a cute HEA.
Sexy scenes in this book are done with a good dose of sexiness and a little bit of dominance. I know there were some terms thrown in there to make it hotter but with such a short amount of pages is no wonder they are there.
All in all, I enjoyed the book. I had a pretty good time unwinding from the regular stress of the day reading a fiction romance that, even though mostly unrealistic, fulfilled my need for romance and steamy moments.
I would recommend this book to those that like short romances with steamy scenes. Oh, and don't forget the millionaire boss.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book provided by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are my own.
5 Sexy Little Stars Review by Angelique Late Night Reviewer Up All Night w/ Books Blog
"For a long time, I didn’t think anything happened for a reason. Now, I do. And the reason is staring me right in the face."
Sometimes dynamite truly comes in small packages, and this one is no different. Mickey Miller surprised me with his latest, Tall, Dark and Stormy, - this is a sexy and fun little read, guaranteed to keep you locked in until the very end.
In the span of 60 odd pages we meet Jack Huston, rich and powerful and maybe a little cocky, who evidently sees something that is not intended for him to see. This results in him having a meeting with one of his most promising interns, Stacy Belle, who isn’t all she seems.
What is he thinking?
Why can't he stop?
What starts off as a fantasy, ends with a sweet little twist.
Stacy along with her sorority are auctioning of their virginity for a good cause. Things get complicated though when her boss finds a record of what she looks up at her desk which included the auction site along with her fantasy she has of her boss. He's had his eyes on her but now it seems he just can't stay away.
I seem to be zooming though this Sorority Secrets series, they are pretty fast and steamy reads. This book was no different in the sense that there is plenty of steam so if that's what you like to read in a book then this book is for you. I on the other hand was more interested in seeing what the book had to offer other then that. With this being a novella there is only so much that can be written so details there wasn't much of but from the content there was it was pretty good I enjoyed it.
I was looking forward to Tall, Dark and Stormy because I have heard a lot about this author so I figured this was the perfect story to dip my toes in. I also read the rest of this series, and not only were the other stories good, but they managed to be interesting . While Tall, Dark and Stormy wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t good by any stretch of the imagination. Jack our “hero” is just a douche, and not in that sexy bad boy way, just in the I’m a douche kind of way. Stacy our heroine, has absolutely no substance to her whatsoever. While sure, there is lots of steam to this story, unfortunately that’s all it is.
I can also tell this was written by a man. Only a man would think it’s hot to call a woman a slut, and think it’s a complement. Um, no.
Hold on to your panties, otherwise they will melt away! Although a very short story, it gets hot and heavy very fast. Jack Huston is head of the Huston Hotel chain and he has just fired Bob, after finding out he has been sexually herassing female employees. While checking up on Stacy, one of the girls Bob was harassing, Jack accidentally sees the website of the Beta Kappa Nu Virginity Auction where Stacy is auctioning of her virginity for a good cause. Under the name of April she offers her body and her dirty fantasies, with her boss Jack H. Well, Jack will help her to play out her fantasies...
Enjoy the ride! Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
I almost gave this one 3 stars, but decided that wasn’t quite fair. I didn’t realize that the hero would be one of those jerk alpha males, you know, the kind who is so cocky and selfish that he makes you want to spit. I’m sure there are readers who totally dig that sort of thing. If you’re one of them, you’ll love this book. I’m not, so I liked it a lot less. Also, in light of the Me Too movement, the whole boss groping and forcing himself on a young girl hit all the wrong notes for me. So why give it 3.5 stars? It writing is good, crispy and engaging. I don’t like the hero, but the author has talent. If I saw another of her books that didn’t have a douchbag hero, I’d read it.
I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.
I’m all about the Dirty Bits and I do love me some taboo office smexy and I was looking forward to getting a little fix and getting introduced to a new to me author, but this one went sideways for me. It started of great for me but then it felt like there was too much going on, at least for a short story IMHO, and the flow became, for lack of a better word, choppy and lost me. I think that had this been a full length book, or book that fell between a novella and full length one, then it would have worked out better for me because the issues brought up could have been better fleshed out overall.

Tall, Dark and Stormy is my first Mickey Miller book and I don't know that I liked it enough to try again. From the start the book was a bit hard to follow. I didn't like the male lead at all and while we were eventually given a small detail about his history that should have made him sympathetic, it just didn't work. I didn't really care for the female lead either. And for personal reasons, the background that we are given about her almost made me want to DNF the book, but I pressed on in the hopes that it would get better. But alas, it didn't. The whole story was choppy and erratic and there wasn't really anything I enjoyed about the experience. I'll chalk this up to a case of "it's not you, it's me." 2 out of 5 wine glasses.
Damn, I was not expecting that. This book is full fantasy to the bone of it. Something I really liked about it besides how steamy it is, is the sense of humor in it. Loved Jack's character and wouldn't mind having more of him any day. He is overpowering but that is exactly how Stacy wants him to give her all her firsts. She is molded to him with an attraction stronger than she has ever felt before, causing her to be his dirty little perfect sub. Reading the story felt like being part of someones deepest desires and fetishes. Which makes this one very different from all the other books in the series. It is a page turner for sure.
Tall,Dark and Stormy is a great 3.5 star steamy novella. Jack and Stacy's story in the sorority secrets series is a Boss to lovers story that is filled with a glimpse of darkness and a lot of fun. These two have great chemistry in the office and between the sheets and whilst I didn't connect with the couple as much as in the other books I did enjoy their story. Mickey Miller is a new to me author but I will definitely be looking in to his other books. This novella is filled with lots of dirty bits and a few sweet scenes too. I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this novella given to me by Netgalley.
Hot quickie that will keep you glued to the pages. I love how the office romance comes to play. You don't have to read the previous books in the Sorority Secrets collection because like the other authors Mickey Miller does a fantastic job giving you all the details behind this virgin auction. This is Stacy's story. I love how the whole boss things comes to play. Stacy has a crush on her boss Jack and once he stumbles upon everything things get hot fast. I love that Stacy isn't afraid to push her boundaries when it comes to Jack. These two are hot and you will love this couple. You really need to read this one.
Tall, Dark and Stormy by Mickey Miller is book Four in the Sorority Secrets series. This is the story of Stacy and Jack. This can be a standalone book. It's Stacy turn at the Sorority to auction off her virginity for charity. Stacey knows who she wishes would bid on it but Jack is her harsh boss at the place she interns at. Jack knows he gives a tough attitude that scares off a lot of people..he likes it that way it seems. But one Stacy is working her way into his boarded up heart. Quick hot read!
