This writing / spelling program was a desperate attempt to help my darling daughter break out of her, " I hate to read, I hate to write" stage when she was very young.
We were homeschooling and she was the last of the four children and the only one who felt reading was a chore when all my other children adored reading and were voratious readers.
I purchased the entire series but we only completed a book and a half when she was off and running. Words became her friend and she is an excellent speller now. She still feels that reading is work but she actually read Pride and Prejudice & Loved it and it is now one of her cherished books in a small collection.

Cool! Wish I had this kind of logical way of spelling in school! Step by step, here a little, there a little...
I like that the process to includes all learning styles! I have even begun using the AVKO process with my other children's (non-AVKO) curriculum. I really like the learning-from-your-mistakes system!!!

Following a word family approach with no stress tests, my daughter has done very well with this program. I like that you fix the mistakes when they happen instead. Will be using the next level.
