While attending an anger management class, police officer Byron Rivers is drawn to fellow classmate Tia Amberson and is forced to choose between love and his job when she and some other women in the class plan to seek revenge against the men who did them wrong. Original.
National bestselling author Carmen Green was born in Buffalo, New York, and had plans to study law before becoming a published author. While raising her three children, she wrote her first book on legal pads and transcribed it onto a computer on weekends before selling her first novel in 1993. Since that time she has sold more than twenty-six novels and novellas, and is proud that one of her books was made into a TV movie in 2001—where she had a cameo role.
In addition to writing full-time, Carmen is a mom of four and a full-time student completing her masters degree in creative writing. She teaches writing at a local community school one evening a week and she’s a founding member of the Femme Fantastik Tour, a group that tours military bases promoting their literary works throughout the United States and Europe. In her spare time Carmen likes live music concerts, gardening, vacations in quiet tropical places and long cruises that don’t require her to do anything but read, sleep and eat.
I love Carmen Green's work. This book took me a day or two to get into BUT when I did, OMG I loved it! Boy breaks up with girl on birthday which just so happens to be Valentine's Day. Boy uses girl for her money. Girl gets mad and gets revenge. Girl gets caught by cops .... ok y'all got my drift. I was pulled into the storyline and felt what the heroine and hero felt. I laughed (out loud), I cried and I cheered! If you haven't read this book, GO GET IT!:)
It was better than I expected. I got a little anxious with all the things going wrong in Tia's life but it worked out for the best. In the end, she's in a far better place than when she started. She needed to go through the rough stuff to find the better stuff.
This book was fun. Poor Tia couldn't catch a break, but she caught a good man in Byron. The group in anger management were a hoot. This is a quick read. Enjoy!
