I can't do it anymore. The way Gee depicts Mabel just rubs me the wrong way. Far too much focus is given to stuffy old white guys and their old school critiques of her. Using phrases such as "Such is the complex animal known as woman." Very disappointed as Mabel Howard is a really really interesting and cool example of early labour unionist politician. This book does her very little justice.
