Don't get me wrong; there is some useful information to be found in this book. But the writing style is incredibly tedious and pretentious. The authors will almost never say anything directly, such as "teachers prepare lesson plans". Instead, they will say, "teachers craft learning events". You never "teach", you "facilitate a learning experience". I was tempted to put together some buzz-word bingo cards. All I can say is, I'm VERY glad that I was able to get it from the Amazon marketplace at a significant markdown; there's no way it was worth list price, or even anything close to it.

This is the text for a class that I am currently taking. I feel that the class is a waste of time becuase the material covered is all covered incidentaly in other classes. However, I think that this is a really good book. It is easy to read and case examples and lots of charts are given to help the reader. It also includes further supports via mylab school. It contains rubrics for purchasing technology, making wish lists, lesson planning with technolgy and lots more. So although the topics in this book are not much new to me, I can see owning a copy of this book very useful. I think that I will try to remember to purchase this book in an updated edition a few years down the line to keep myself up to date with what's available and how to choose the right things for my class.

Hey, It's a text book and like many others it's just not all that appealing to read. It is, however very informative.

A bit boring and repetitive at times, but filled with useful information and a positive vision of a technology rich future.
