Five years ago Guy Wiley decided to help Lucia's family anonymously by setting up a charity called the Farm Help Society. It was a brilliant idea. He got to save the girl he loved from a life of poverty, all while masquerading as a poor farmer. He wanted her to choose him for who he was and not his wealth. The plan would have worked flawlessly, except that Ace Jackson was also interested in Lucia. Ace was serious competition. He was a handsome doctor who liked Lucia and was not going to let Farmer Guy stand in the way of him having the beautiful girl of his dreams. Now, Guy was in a quandary. Should he blow his cover so that he could level the playing field, or should he let Lucia decide who she wants to spend the rest of her life with, the poor farmer or the wealthy doctor? Who would be the perfect guy for Lucia?

Guy really fell in love with Lucia the first time that he saw her and was compelled to do everything in his power to help her and her poverty stricken family. He waited five years for her to mature and grow into womanhood while planting seeds of love by spending time with Lucia and helping her family. Guy was truly a great guy. Aretha was too overbearing trying to control her children to the point she was pushing Lucia to settle with Dr. Ace Jackson rather than pursue love. Novalee was so delusional to go along with a farce of that magnitude for something materialistic. I hope Earl isn't the father and I commend him for standing up to Aretha knowing the type of woman that Novalee is. Ace Jackson and Micky have developed a good relationship this past year with Ace not knowing that Micky is possibly his real father. After Lucia dropped the bomb to Ace of the possibility, I can't wait to read the Jackson series.
Love Guys' determination to be just a humble, down to earth man (farmer) who lives a simple life. His good heart and love for Lucia leading him to create the "Farm Help Society" was a brilliant idea. I was glad he waited for Lucia to get older before making any moves. Their chemistry was undeniable, but they were patient in allowing those feelings to surface. Lucia's mom was irritating and nasty and Novalee is the type of person you definitely don't want as a friend. Wasn't to thrilled by Ace but because I do believe he is uncle Mickeys' son, I'm sure he'll have his own story. Now I would like to follow a story with Earl, but hope he isn't the father of Nova's baby. Wow, so so loving this series, as each brother captures the heart, and the wives add their own brand of fun and excitement. Bravo!!! On to Wiley Brother Saint🙂👍👍
As usual, every novel composed by Barrett is riveting, dynamic, and absorbing! I can hardly wait until Guy and Lucia marry and begin their life together with Shawn, Sheryl, Jordan, Preston, Aiasha, and Mickey too! PLEASE write a novel about the Wiley family gathering (including Aretha) after five years. I truly need to know what is happening in their lives😒! Seriously, I LOVE every novel written by Brenda Barrett! She is now my top author over Beverly Jenkins!
I’m going to start first by saying that I absolutely could not stand Nova. With friends like her, you definitely didn’t need enemies. Guy was a saint in the way that he took care of Lucia and her family over the years and he never approached Lucia until she was an adult. Lucia’s mother also irritated me with her thoughts of needing to be with a man for their money and not love. All in all, I really enjoyed this book.
Very good and interesting book just as the previous ones in this series, can't wait for the next one in this series. I would definitely recommend this book and any books by Brenda Barrett
The Wiley Brothers stories are different but yet similar. They are all handsome, smart, caring and intelligent young men. Kudos to the author for such an exciting storyline.
This Guy !!! I started out thinking that Guy was gonna win then I just knew he was done The ups & downs w/Lucia had my mind going from one thought to another I loved it ! Anyone that may be going through a relationship w/out honestly may want to read this and see how envy from supposed to be friends can drive you crazy
I am so hooked on this series! I was caught on the very first installment and this author can't write these fast enough! I love the storyline and how we as the reader has watched this amazing family grow up into wonderful men with equally great significant others. So much drama intrigue and heart!
I feel some type of way about this book. It seems that all the men are drawn to females way younger than they are. I mean the comments made about a 14 year old by grown men. How is Ace's mother in her 40's and he is 32? This whole story just confused me. It just did not sit well with me.
I liked some facets of the story but, the mother, doctor and faux friend. Two simple people fell in love and despite a few meddling people began loving and life. I enjoy reading this author's work. I hope that I'm getting insight into life in Jamaica. Keep writing and I will keep reading. This "Wiley Brothers" series is great!
The Wiley Brothers series is captivating. I read Lucia and Guy's story in 1 day. Family ties are never stronger than when the Wiley brothers get together. Anxiously awaiting the next installment.
Once again a Wiley brother finds love by happenstance. This story is full of twists and turns. It does have a few grammatical errors but it doesn't take seat from the story line. This book intrigued me so that I read it in one day!
Another great book! I have truly enjoyed reading this series and I cannot wait for the remaining brothers stories. Guy is very patient and compassionate which I loved about him. You should never judge a book by its cover!!
Love these brothers their stories lines are amazing, they are some evil people’s in the world. Guy really had lots of patience and it pay off. Novalee loss a good friend over greed 👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾
This was a good book! I love how all the stories are intertwined and you can follow the progress of the story and where it fits in the series.Ms Barrettes is a very good author and I am really enjoying the series.
Another good story . Guy knew almost from the beginning that Lucia was the one for him. He did everything in his power to give her and her family a better life. What a man, all heart.
Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Guy and Lucia are a great match. Unfortunately, secrets, competition, jealousy and deceit interfere with their romance. Guy and Lucia overcome obstacles on their way to happiness.
'She did if for Jimmy Choo shoes!' That cracked me up, I laughed so hard. I really enjoyed reading about how Guy and Lucia finally got together, and especially because the 'other' guy is not necessarily a bad person. Beautifully put together too. I am sometimes tempted to read it again, but I have too many more i am yet to finish.... Kudos, Brenda. Looking forward to Saint's story.
I loved the story of Lucia and Guy. It is a great love story. I recommend this book/series to everyone who loves romance novels. Brenda Barrett is a great writer.
Thank you Ms Barrett for giving me hope to love again. While reading the Wiley Brothers series. I learned a very important lesson Love wins every time. Thank you again.
I love Guy's story. The saying "never judge a book buy its cover " comes to mind. I love all th books in this series but this one is a definite favourite.
