Quite understandably, most of the world's greatest speeches (according to this book, at least) turn out to be political in nature. It is those speeches that have moved thousands of people and impacted millions of lives.
The speeches provide a rich commentary on the times and places they are from, and are a delight to read if you are also looking to hone your monologue skills! That apart, not a must-read.

I honestly feel this book should be embedded in the syllabus for students. It is absolutely essential to know these speeches and the power those words had over the populace of that time. It gives us ample ammunition to think and imagine how these speeches must have shaped mass behaviours and therefore history.

Absolutely brilliant!
