THE NEW TEEN TITANS, one of the top-selling comics of the 1980s, is collected in a new Omnibus hardcover.
In this fourth massive collection of the hit 1980s series from acclaimed writer Marv Wolfman, team member Lilith ascends to godhood and takes up residence on Olympus, home of the Greek gods of myth. Then, the team investigates a 50-year-old cold-case murder and crosses paths with the Omega Men. And as the Crisis on Infinite Earths begins, Starfire is called home to the planet Tamaran to be wed to a member of the military--but instead leads her people in an effort to overthrow the forces that control the planet.
Collects NEW TEEN TITANS Series Two #10-31, NEW TEEN TITANS Series Two ANNUAL #1-2 and OMEGA MEN #34.

A nice chunk of Titans stories. Though they return to old foes (Blood, Blackfire), they feel reimagined, much as the Trigon story that led off the new volume of the Titans.
The Blackfire story is in many ways the most interesting, because it gives more depth to her. The Hybrid story is hard to analyze since it's unfinished, but it's nice seeing a new version of the Doom Patrol created. Finally, the Blood story is a nice expansion on the character and his threat, but it goes on too long.
There are some nice team dynamics here too. The brief return of original Titans is terrific, and I wish some of them had stayed. Ditto for Jason Todd who makes some appearances. But I have to shake my head at the way Kole is killed between issues (in Crisis). It's a real misstep for a character who was introduced here.
Overall, a nice volume of Titans lore that was otherwise unknown to me.
Look Marv Wolfman is obviously an all-time great for his *Tomb of Dracula* run & for creating Raven, Cyborg, Starfire, Deathstroke, & Cheshire, but man the writing of the narrative captions & dialogue gets much better when Paul Levitz takes over as dialogist
