Ten years after Alex and Aaron Stowe brought peace to Quill and Artimé, their younger twin sisters journey beyond Artimé in the third novel in the sequel series to The Unwanteds.
Devastated by loss and hampered by war, Fifer struggles to regroup and continue the search for her twin. Meanwhile Thisbe, pounded by images of Grimere’s dark history, contemplates her abandonment and considers leaving Rohan behind in a risky move that could take her home… or to her death.
Lisa McMann lives and writes in the Phoenix area. Her newest middle grade fantasy series is called The Forgotten Five. Book one, Map of Flames, was an instant NYT bestseller. It's about five supernatural kids, raised in a deserted hideout, who enter civilization for the first time to search for a hidden stash left behind by their missing, criminal parents.
Book two, The Invisible Spy, is on sale now! Book three, Rebel Undercover, is coming summer 2023, and book 4 will be out in spring of 2024.
Also out now: CLARICE THE BRAVE. It's a story of hope against all odds, about sibling mice who get separated in a mutiny and vow to find one another again.
Lisa's other books include the NYT bestselling THE UNWANTEDS and UNWANTEDS QUESTS series, the GOING WILD trilogy, the YA paranormal WAKE trilogy, the VISIONS trilogy, CRYER'S CROSS, DEAD TO YOU, and INFINITY RING: The Trap Door.
Okay, when these guys eventually get out of the variety of messes they’re in, and everyone’s back in Artime with some time on their hands, I have an assignment for them.
MAGICAL CELL PHONES.
Three quarters of this book is two groups in a relatively small area searching unsuccessfully for each other. Like, I know most of you spent your entire lives on a tiny island within walking distance of every person you know, but not all of you did! Come on, Kaylee, you lived a life with cell phones! Extol to them the virtues of long-distance communication, I’m begging you.
Lisa McMann is not one of my favorite authors. But I gave this collection an opportunity, because is a fiction/fantasy type of book - my favorite type of story - but for me Lisa McMann failed when she killed Alex Stowe. Alex and Aaron is or was my favorite characters. However, since the beginning of the quests, that's when it really started, the decreasing quality of the characters, specially Alex. killing Alex ruined completely artime universe for me. It stopped making sense after his death. When a major character like Alex is killed, the original story - the first seven books - get ruined. He was an amazing character. Suddenly what was writen in the first 7 books lost sense for me that's the big problem when an author decides to play God and kill a main character. Not everyone can do it. Besides, he died alone, sad and miserable. I was expecting much more . this author just decided to kill alex because she had no idea what to do with the character anymore so she got rid of him. That's what some authors do when they have lots of characters to focus on and get lost in the way. Killing a character like Alex is the easiest way. For me, this is lazy writing. Alex didn't deserve this ending. I'm upset because i invested my money in these books but no way i will continue reading them or invest in the rest of the collection. The story turned out black and gray all of a sudden for me I can't even look to the books anymore Suddenly, all i think about is to get rid of artime and unwanted books from my shelves because i know i won't read them again. Because when i buy or start to read a collection of books i like to know that i have a story I know i will read again and again in the future. Alex'd death for me was and it is a huge disappointment. I know Alex is not the main character of the quests but he is their older brother, besides aaron. These kind of decisions, when made, have to be well thought out and well written and what i read about alex's death is not good writing. this story should have ended with the first 7 books. this is what happens when an author think more about profit than about the quality of the story. For me Artime ends here and i will have no interest in read any other books from the same author as well. If it is to read about death and tragedy, i watch the news or read about it in the papers or see or listen about it all around me and in our own personal lives ...
Much darker than the first series. Far too much description and repetition. Personally, I don't like the younger twins as much and have a hard time caring about their story. The book is told in segments about different groups of characters in separate locations. The timing intertwines so the entire story is told. At times, the plot wanders and gets bogged down in unnecessary details. Hoping McMann brings the excitement of her earlier series back in the next installment of this one.
I cannot wait for the next book to come out! (*Googles how many days until September 3...* UGH 196) Oh well. This book was amazing! Crazy cliffhanger at the end though... 196 days to think about it lol
okay now yes I'm updating this in 2025, but I cannot believe I didn't say this before: HOW DARE SHE DO THAT. this had me CRYING in the car on the way to school in 7TH GRADE COME ON. I think this is why it's 3 stars. my 13 year old heart couldn't take it.
FANTASTIC ONCE AGAIN!! THE EMOTIONS, FEELINGS, CHARACTERS, WORLD, MAGIC, ACTION AND EVERYTHING the book begins with the TRAGIC SCENE of ALEX, I CAN'T BELIEVE HE IS REALLY GONE HE HAS BEEN THERE SINCE THE BEGINNING, THE SERIES IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT HIM!!! VERY EMOTIONAL RIGHT NOW, the characters are DEVASTATED!! I feel sooo bad too Simber, A DISASTER, after he woke up they had to tell him his mage is gone!! he was his loyal confidant and he loved him!!! Samheed, Lani (married) lost their dearest friend it's tragic AARON OMG HIS OTHER HALF IS GONE CRYING the majority of the story is about the losses and the disappearance of magic. Aaron performs the spell and brings Artime back and is now the new head mage which is a very hard task for he doesn't want it, he just wants his life and brother back... Thisbe (I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER) has at last found Sky after she and Rohan had escaped. she tells her about what has happend after the volcano has erupted. She went under and through a portal and Issie's daughter saved her and brought her to the land of the dragons. they both are very confused for they didn't know what happen. thisbe thought she came looking for her and sky thought so too. They make plans together to search for the other Artimeans. Fifer and her team can't leave for they must still find Thisbe. Fifer has become the new leader and finds herself fit for the role perfectly but she also distances herself from her loved ones for she can't handle to lose someone else. they crew send seeksspells to Artime so they know they're still alive. back in Artime, they all receive the spells, even Aaron for Kaylee has learned the spell. He tries to lead Artime and takes care of Daniel, but not everyone is happy with the new mage. Friedda and her group dissenters acuse him of the MURDER AND PLOTTING OF ALEX DEATH HOW HEARTLESS CAN YOU BE!! Aaron gets help from his allies and friends but still struggles. Dev meets Fifer and crew and work together at last. they continue their search, but still think that thisbe is in the catacombs so they follow the wrong lead. same for Sky and Thisbe. Aaron has send Thisbe a seek spell and when they send theirs, Sky send a seekspell of her little poem from Alex, but it ends on a certain place... sky and thisbe discover Alex's grave HEART WRENCHING SCENE!!! OHH DEARS!!!! THEY COULDN'T EVEN SAY GOODBYE!! Rohan helps wherever he can.Arabis couldn't fly anymore due the disappearance of magic so she falls out the sky in the caveland and the Ghost dragons who are the ancient dragons find her and help her heal. they aid the true dragon leader but can't kill the Revinir. The Revinir still drinks the dragon bone broth and is becoming stronger. her new test subjects and slaves are forced to drink it too and grow scales and smoke out their noses. the Revinir isn't concerned about the growth of the king's army for she doesn't need her own to increase. she has bigger plans... she roars and TRANSDORMS IN A HALF DRAGON and calls THE DRAGONS, THE BLACK EYED SLAVES AND PAN, HER YOUNG AND DEV AND THISBE, SHOCKING!!! Thisbe who drank the ancient broth gets images and holds the call back, but she is in extreem pain and collapse everytime. in Artime Pan hears it too and goes to aaron who had asked for the young help. she herself will bring aaron and the rescue team to her home land, the land of dragons, but they don't hear the call and don't know that she is summoned. at a certain point, sky and Thisbe choose to go back to Artime through the volcano like the one of the Island of fire. Rohan isn't going and their goodbye is very emotional. just when the volcano shocks thisbe hears the call and this time the image of a girl that is dragged by pirates is to be seen and a name too: MAIVEN TAVEER!! she must save her and sky wants to go back too, but she is too late and the volcano drags her down!! thisbe and Rohan see smoke from the Grimere castle and go on the mission to save Maive. FIfer and crew go to the castle too to save thisbe and the smoke and fire is bigger than ever. The revinir rides ARABIS!!! and sets the castle on FIRE!! it is complete CHOAS!! just when thisbe has reached the dungeons the smoke gets the best of her and she collapses just like Rohan had. BUT FIFER FINDS HER JUST THAT SAME TIMEE!!! THEY ARE TOGETHER AT LAST!!! they free Maive and Simber and Talon + crew fight the black eyed CHILDREN and among them is DEV without killing them. The ghost dragons have arrived too because they heed the call od Thisbe, NOT THE REVINIR!! they all case chaos while the team fights the CRAZY WOMAN. Thisbe and team members are brought to safety at last Simber and passengers fly to camp and the kind is either dead or abducted. the castle is on fire and some slave soldiers has fallen from the tower... PLEASE DON'T BE DEAD the Reunion is EMOTIONAL!!! but they argue what to do next. Rohan and Naive confess who they are MAIVE IS THE QUEEN AND ROHAN IS THE LAST DESCENDED OF ONE OF THE FAMILIES RULERS PLOTTWIST!! they are going to fight for their land!! but the crew MUST FIND SKY!! so they will go through the volcano too. the goodbye scene is sooo sad I WANT ROHAN AND THISBE TO BE TOGETHER but just when thisbe and crew are underwater with the portals she hears the call and collapses which results in going through THE WRONG PORTAL!!! on the Island of fire Sky has landed their with the help of issie's baby now named Isobel. she can't go home for the swim is way to long. she seems lost AGAIN, UNTIL SPIKE APPEARS!!! SKY IS GOING HOME AT LAST!!!

Just in case you didn't see the big warning above, this review will be containing spoilers. Okay, so when Alex died I wasn't that sad. Sure, he was the leader of Artime and all, but in the majority of the Quests books, he was reverting back to his jerkish ways. What made me sad was everyone's reaction to his death. Like (this jumps back to book two) but when Lani's wheels stop working and she just knows. Then, when they are burying him and Fifer is all devestated. And how Aaron described it as a piece of him breaking, and he just knew. Those parts made me so sad. But when they told Simber, his reaction literally had me crying. Not just a few tears, but crying. I love that giant cat, and seeing his heartbreak killed me.
Now, I have one problem with this book, that frustrates me SO much. Why does everyone keep missing each other? Obviously it is a major part of the plot, and I love the book for it, but erg! First they go to Thisbe's crypt, and Thisbe has just escaped. Then they're just plotting around, not sending a seek spell! And I understand their logic, but they should have just done it anyways. Hmph. Then, luckily they find each other. But they leave, and Aaron goes in to look for them! Rar, I just want them to all be happy in Artime again. And not to mention that when Sky makes it back home, everyone if going to be gone. I hope that in this next book, they are all together again! This is killing me!
I have to say I really liked Lisa McMann's Unwanteds. It was fast, action packed and thoroughly enjoyable. However The Unwanteds Quests are a different breed. The latest in the series is Dragon Ghosts, and it moves at a slow glacial speed, seeming to be stuck for 200 pages on the fact that Lisa had chosen to kill off one of the main characters - which actually happened in the last book in the series. By the end, the book does not develop the story much further, and it almost felt like the author was writing to just fill pages, and I am now left with the feeling that the next book just might take 100 pages for the primary characters to just get out of bed. Compared to her previous series, which I could happily give 5 stars, this is not Lisa's best book.
An amazing third installment in the Unwanteds Quests series. The characters are still spectacular, the plot was wonderful, and the story of the Unwanteds was beautifully and uniquely continued, as it has been in every book. Can't wait to read the fourth book!
At the beginning of the book, and all throughout the middle it was just really boring and dragged on. I know that they were dealing with loses but also it just didn't move very much. Also I think that they need to create a spell that helps them communicate better because also most of the book they were planning rescue missions that didn't need to happen and just there was a ton of misunderstandings. I hope the next book is a little bit better.
I loved the original Unwanteds series, as well as the first two books in Unwanteds Quest. I’ve been highly anticipating this book, and it might have been my anticipation that put my expectations too high; I felt that this book didn’t satisfy my dose of the Unwanteds. This book moved a bit slow compared to the others. I understand that Lisa Mcmann had to pay off the characters’ arc from the previous book (especially after Alex’s abrupt death), but maybe a bit more happening/action would have done it for me. Since the second book of Unwanteds Quest, the characters have accomplished gathering up the lost team and the Revinir has taken over the king’s palace. This book is a bit more like a place holder, setting up the scene for the next books to have more action, which I respect (especially with the mystery of all the dragons rushing over to the Revinir at the very end. Oh the anticipation!) Besides that, Lisa Mcmann definitely did not disappoint. Very nicely written, and aside from it being a bit slow, really payed off many character arcs in response to Alex’s death. Can’t wait for the next book this Fall!

This was definitely filler, but I still did really enjoy it.
It makes sense too: a major character of 9 books died last book, and there are 3 different locations where characters are located that have to find out, react to, and recover from the knowledge of this death. Every single scene made my heart break, from poor Aaron to a character I was never really fond of such as Sky.
I enjoyed Sky a lot this book, actually. She had the right amount of grieving and resilience, and she helped guide Thisbe a lot. It makes Alex's death so much harder, and her ending was so sweet it made me tear up. She's been through a lot and she just deserves a happy ending.
However, some of the other characters fell flat to me. A lot of the new ones are very one-dimensional and it's hard to keep track of who's friends with who and what that person looks and acts like. There are more than 15 characters that have roles in this book, and the ones with the most personality were the ones from the first series, because they've grown and have actual set personalities.
I also did not like the progression of Fifer becoming the leader of the group. A part of Lani has shown she's always liked the idea of being in charge, and she has a lot more experience than Fifer, so she would be a more obvious choice. Plus, all she and Samheed did were say a few things and then lock eyes lovingly, and I actually liked her in the first series, so I wish she and Samheed had more of a role.
My favorite part of this book was probably Aaron. Him stepping into the role was just PERFECT, especially with some older Artimeans refused to accept him because of him killing Mr Today. It was very realistic and I found it a very interesting conflict for him. It was just the right amount of extra and added so much more to his POV, which I already adore. (Aaron is my favorite character)
But it seems like this was a lot of setup for Fifer to find Thisbe, which was most of what happened in this book. It took such a long time, and weirdly, I wish Sky's conflict, as much as I loved it, wasn't as dragged out as much as it was, because the reunion of Thisbe would have been even more crazy if they found out Sky was ALIVE. It could have been this big explosion of knowledge, and Samheed and Lani could have had a moment about Alex with her.
I get why Sky wasn't there now, because it's added drama and tension if all three parties keep being separated. It seems they will never all have a big reunion until the end of this series at this point, but I hope that it happens next book because I'm tried of it being dragged out.
I'm just waiting for that big moment where everyone's happy and together :)

Honestly, I don't love Unwanteds Quests. Unwanteds is one of my favorite series ever! I felt like I could really relate to Alex Stowe. The story was the journey of the mage and I got to explore the new world with Alex. Unwanteds Quests is a lot darker. I feel like because so many past characters that we already know are being used, it gives us more time to explore new characters, like Rohan and Dev. The themes became more series, talking about things such as slavery or oppression. But Unwanteds Quest just doesn't work for me. The magic of exploring the seven islands is gone. The only interesting character anymore is Dev, but he's too stubborn to actually give any information about himself! I wanted to know more about him! (Entering spoiler territory) And Lisa McMann ruined Alex for this series. His story (along with Cole from Five Kingdoms and Lance from Voltron) is up in my top 3 most tragic character endings. He was born in Quill, which is quickly established as a horrible place. Then he was sentenced to death as an Unwanted. But as we know, he didn't die. But he had to prove that he could handle magic over and over again. Then, when he finally gained some confidence and trained under Mr. Today, he was forced the responsibility of being the next head mage. After suffering through everything going on with Eagala, Rattrap, and drama on the other dangerous islands, he persevered anyway. Despite that, he ended up losing the ability to use his left arm. It was his entire world, giving him both magical abilities and be able to create art. This series continued his story in the saddest way. Alex sank into depression for years and gave up on art. He was lashing out at his friends and family. His sisters were kidnapped, possibly dead, and Sky thought to be dead from the Island of Fire's plunge downward. He took action and started training again to save Thisbe and protect Fifer. In the land of dragons, his team was following an old trail, as Thisbe was already out of the dungeon. Alex was finally bonding with Fifer and when they confronted the Revinir, he was insta-killed. There was no time to do anything to stop her. Fifer and the others were forced to bury his body in the woods, since they couldn't afford to take it back home. It is so depressing and sad!! As someone who really identified with Alex and he was my favorite character, it's so heartbreaking. I could rant about Alexander Stowe for hours. Oh! The other thing. This book is INFURIATING because it's just constant miscommunication and misunderstandings and assumptions. I just want to smack everyone and tell them "Thisbe is right there! Just escape already!"
5/5 This Review was first posted on It’s All Anthony. For more reviews, check out the blog here.
There is some reason why I always return to the world Artimé. It’s adventurous, creative, and filled with awesome characters. Also, don’t forget about the creative weaponry involved with the world’s magic as well. Even though this is middle grade, there is something in the series that makes it for all ages.
Through so many adventures (and some misadventures) there is always something to learn and something new (even when it comes to twists), something that Dragon Ghosts shows to continue with. After an unseen, shocking twist in the last book, Fifer and Thisbe must continue to survive and learn to use their magic without any guidance. While that it shows to be hard, the twins learn to be smart and to lead, given the circumstances they are currently in.
In Dragon Ghosts, the duration of the book stays in the world of Dragonsmarche. Dragonsmarche has been the main location in the story line thus far for the entire the series. Even though Dragonsmarche has been shown to be important to the story line, it was nice to see some sort of conclusion and that we, along with the cast, will start to see new things in the next upcoming book. There’s nothing against Dragonsmarche (except for the rulers and how they came to be). There’s some excitement that there is finally something new along the way. Even though it seemed that it may not be exactly ideal, I can’t wait to see what happens.
If you happen to be wondering; yes, there is the classic McMann twist at the end that is going to make you want to (wait impatiently and) get the next book to continue the adventures of Fifer and Thisbe. Since there is going to be many new things, I can’t wait to see the endless possibilities that is to come.
My favorite part was when Fifer and Thisbe were finally reunited, after trying to find each other with no idea where the other was at that time. My least favorite part was when the Revinir became a dragon and enslaved Arabis and Pan and most of the other dragons except for Drock and the ghost dragons and Thisbe. I think that I like the Unwanteds Quests books better than the original Unwanteds books. I think it is sad that Alex never even knew that Sky was alive before he died.

I can't believe she killed off Alex. That's messed up. I thought he might of come back like Sky but no. I would really of like to watch him get through his PTSD and keep growing. I was really frustrated with how he was treating he's sisters by trying to ignore their magic but it would of been nice to see him get over that more. It seemed like he was to much trouble to keep developing so just kill him off. -__-

The Unwanted Quests series I am not really that happy with. I just feel that there is a little way to much not doing anything until the very ending half of the book. Also I do not really like the ending to this part of the series.
Lisa McMann's books never fail to keep me hooked and leave me hanging at the end. Do Thisbe and Fifer make it? What happens to Pan and the rescue team? I can't wait for book number four to come out!

The twins are still parted and will they chance to meet up with each other. Will their twin intuition make it possible to find each other. Will the Ghost Dragons be able to help defeat the Revenier?
My name is Thisbe, and I don't think anyone knows I've escaped from the Revinir's dungeons along with Sky and Dev. The Revinir forced me to drink dragon-bone broth, and I know it's having a scary effect on me. I'm trying to conceal the scales on my arms, but the visions I'm having are hard to ignore. I can't tell if they're from the past or from the future. What do they mean? I'm not sure any of my friends are looking for me at this point; they may have assumed I'm dead and returned to Artime. Something's happening here to the dragons and the children with black eyes. I'm feeling a strange pull too, and it's hard to resist. I feel I need to return to the dungeons and free a woman I don't even know. I now find myself alone and wondering what I should do.
You need to read the first two books in The Unwanteds Quests series, and it wouldn't hurt to read The Unwanteds first. Alex died in the previous book, and the early part of Dragon Ghosts covered his history and the history of the magical world of Artime. To be honest, the first half of the book felt like it was getting ready for something to happen without anything actually happening. Characters didn't fully understand Thisbe and Alex's situations and were thinking of plans for what they should do. There were mistaken assumptions that led characters astray. The second half of the book was much more interesting and included a lot more action. The conflicts became clearer, and the opposing positions more defined. As expected, the Revinir continued to be the main antagonist, but underwent some changes. These changes complicated her abilities, so the protagonists weren't sure how to stop her. It will continue into the next book. While the books read like normal middle-grade novels, the author doesn't shy away from death. Important characters may be lost (Alex for example), so potential twists are unpredictable. I wish I didn't need to wait for each edition of the series to be published.
The Unwanteds is a favorite series of mine and the Quests are just as good....seems to always have a cliff-hanging ending, but that makes it exciting as we wait for the next book! Thisby is still with Skye in the land of Grimere unaware that there is a rescue party also on the island. Fifter, her twin is leading the rescue party and is getting frustrated that they have been unable to find Thisby. Thisby feels like she has been abandoned especially when she learns that her brother, Alex has died. At Alex's death the magic of Artime and its residents is lost and as those in Artime try to restore the magic those in Grimere continue to work to find Thisby and return home. Aaron, Alex's twin, is able to restore the magic which makes everyone happy. The Revinir has managed to continue to drink the dragons broth becoming more like a dragon each day. She is ready to begin a war that would make her the ruler of all the dragons. As she heads off to conquer the castle in Rohan Thisby is found by Fifer and friends. A rescue mission to the castle as the battle begins saves other friends. Thisby tells her sister about traveling through the volcano tunnels which Skye has used and has recently used to get back to Artime. They decide that is just what they should do too.... Will they make it back?! The Ghost Dragons are able to help in the rescue of friends but they still have battles to fight. So much adventure, magic and just plain fun!
The book Unwanteds Quests: Dragon Ghost is a fantasy, adventure book with tons of magic. This book belongs to a series called the unwanteds quests. This book takes place in a fantasy world where magic is used in everyone's everyday life. This book uses a lot of descriptive words so you can see what’s happening in your head.
Thisbe has escaped from a dungeon while her twin sister Fifer is trying to save her. They have almost no means of communication so Fifer is fumbling around not knowing where to find Thisbe. Thisbe and Fifer are both the protagonists who are separated by the antagonist who is the Revinir. The theme is that Thisbe is trying to survive with what little she has while Fifer is trying to save Thisbe. At the same time, Fifer is trying to keep the rescue team together while trying to stay sane herself.
I think this was a good book. This book can make you sad and can make you nervous at times. This book has a lot of conversations so you always know what’s going on in the story. The book feels complete but leaves you on a cliffhanger for the next book in the series. This book compares well with other books I've read because I like to read fantasy books like this along with reading all the books in this series.
Overall the book is good for people who really like to read fantasy books.
I decided to hold off on reading these until the last one was out (or at least coming out soon). Having just finished book 3, I am really glad I did, since these pretty much all seem to end in cliffhangers. Book 7 is coming in a little over a week so I'm on track to be finished or at least close to it by then.
But anyway, I'm intrigued enough to keep reading, to find out if the Revenir can actually be stopped and how the Stowe siblings will manage now that they've grown in different directions.
Positives: beautiful magical world with unique magical creatures. Loving found family. Mischievous twin girls with strong unruly magical abilities. New friends and character growth. Reunions at last! Transportation between worlds.
Negatives: Implied that the negative events bring out the best in people. Lack of parental guidance or appropriate adult child relationships. Inappropriately heavy leadership decisions laid on children. A farcical amount of missed connections.
Triggers for sensitive minds
Physically violence: inhuman treatment of prisoners human and animal, cruel tyranny and king, slavery (work based), illness from hunger and dehydration, civil war, description of wounds, forced drinking of magical broth that causes physical changes, isolation, various forms of coercion, fighting to escape and to rescue with some lethal force used, mind control via magical animal instincts, weaponized fire, smoke inhalation, mild/medium burns.
Emotional pain: loss and grief of loved one, fear of death and imprisonment, abandonment, coercion, inappropriately heavy leadership decisions laid on children.
This book started off interesting and ended interesting but I felt like most of the book was just a boring filler. It took me an extreme amount of time to get through, and not only contributed to the size. I have to admit I was very bored during the majority of this book and it was difficult to understand with all the switching of characters and inner monologues. It reminded me a lot of the third book in the original Unwanted series when they were stuck on the island of shipwrecks. The filler part was necessary I suppose but I have to admit I’m a bit disappointed.
It also seems that Alex’s death is just grazed over. Yes, they make comments about and most of the first chapters are about his death and cleaning the mess it had made, but It seems that later in the book that it just never really happened and they move on from it so fast.
Despite all of my critiques, I will still be finishing the series because overall it is absolutely wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend the series as a whole and am so glad McMann had decided to continue it with Thisbe and Fifer.

Loved this book but my number one problem was that the Team was looking for Thisbe when she had just escaped. It just made me really frustrated and annoyed that Thisbe had already escaped, and the team was already looking at the same spot that she was hidden in, but she’s not there no more. And then the part where Aaron and his team go back to the same spot, they just literally escaped. And the same thing with Sky when she ends up on a different island and she’s going back home and the other team does the same thing and tries to follow her. It’s just super frustrating. But the one thing I love about this book with me shipping Thisbe and Rohan so much. But I was a bit disappointed that he did not see enough Dev and Fifer over my other couple that I was shipping. Love this book in this was the second time of me reading it, which made it also a slow read because I already knew that the couples that I shipped(Dev and Fifer) I already knew it was going to see them that often.
