I loved this book. The stories of the men and women who built this country against their will. Who drove cattle and broke horses while living in a world that didn’t recognise their rights. And who did it with dignity. Their stories brought to life places I’ve been out in the bush. And it brought to mind stories of my old next door neighbour who was a driver alongside many of those whose stories are shared in this book. Highly recommend to anyone who loves stories of driving.

Interesting series of yarns of early Indigenous cattlement in Northern Australia from Queensland to Yarralin, N.T. Much happier and independant lives they lived than other stories I have read of the Indigenous.
