Morgan le Fay still dreams of being burned alive, but at least she isn't dead.

After waking up on Avalon, Isle of the Priestesses, Morgan is given a choice: go back in time to fix the mistakes that killed King Arthur and destroyed Camelot, or commit to a life of banishment and seclusion. Her choice will give her another chance at healing and love, if she can find the courage to accept it.

Tristan de Liones must stop a war and save his uncle's kingdom. Falling in love with the Irish princess Isolde, his uncle's intended bride, wasn't part of the plan. Now he has a choice: maintain his honor as a knight and escort Isolde safely to the kingdom of Cornwall, or follow his heart and claim her for himself.

In this riveting sequel to "Woven," the classic, tragic love story of Tristan and Isolde is retold and given new life as a tale of love, healing, and redemption.

Good read, well written with a great plot and characters. This is the sequel to Moore's debut novel Woven. It starts where the last book left off with Morgan le Fey. This book adds a new twist to an old tale, it has magic and time travel. It also has Tristan and Isolde's story. I enjoyed this read it is interesting and descriptive. I can't wait to read more by this awesome author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Morgan la Fey awakes to find herself back in Avalon. She feels some regret for the things that she has done that have brought about destruction. She is given the opportunity to make a choice - go back in time, correct the mistakes that brought about the downfall of King Arthur or stay in this time and go become a nun for the rest of her life. She chooses to go back because she wants a second chance and hopes for a second chance at love. Back in the time that she is to return to, Tristan is being called upon by his Uncle, the King to go and find a duel in his name. King Mark is looking to avoid war for debts that he owes and no one else will come to his aid. Tristan agrees, fights, wins but is poisoned by the "knight" he battles. Little does he know that this "knight" has high seated relatives and he brings down danger on himself. Morgan is sent back but due to something she did, she is not returned to herself. A new path is being forged, but not without its dangers that Morgan now Isolde, an Irish Princess, must face. A twisted love story indeed.
Bound is book two in Bree Moore's Woven series and this book picks up where the first left off. Morgan regrets the choices that she made and is given the opportunity to correct them. The author weaves an interesting story as we follow along with Isolde (Morgan) and Tristan. It seems that Morgan is destined to be the center of trouble and danger as she once again finds herself in the middle of it yet again. I can't help but feel sorry for her. She is constantly surrounded by danger. I find this story truly enjoyable, but I wanted the story to branch off in places and follow Morgan's true body so that we could see the path that the real Isolde takes in Morgan's form.
I enjoyed this book and am rating it 5 out of 5 stars.

I loved this sequel to Bree Moore's debut novel, Woven. While it can read as a stand alone the way Bree Moore has set it up, it has the most emotional impact if you read Bound after the first book.
Some of my favorite things about this book:
1. The very first scene: can you say goosebumps. It's so strikingly powerful I think about it months after I finished reading this story.
2. The love story. Bound has one of the most realistically developed relationships I have read. If you're tired of simple "will they won't they" love stories you will find this one refreshing. The stakes they face have no easy answers and mistakes are made. Satisfying, electrifying, beautiful.
3. Tristan and his bird. Seriously, what it comes down to is Bree Moores ability to immerse us in every detail of the world.
I would highly recommend Bound!

So, I was given the opportunity to read this in advance, and I absolutely loved it! It's an excellent continuation of the story started in Woven, as well as an awesome retelling of the story of Tristan and Isolde. Definitely would recommend, and I look forward to seeing what happens next.

In her enthralling Fantasy tale, “Bound”—the sequel to her 2017 novel based on the Camelot tale, “Woven”—Author Bree Moore retells the classic and tragic love story of Tristan and Isolde.

From beginning to end, this story captivates as much as it sparks the imagination of the reader. Vivid imagery of lonely island shores and captive damsels in distress, the somber musings of lovers drawn together by a sorceress’ spell, and battles between knights fighting to the death for the honor of king and country are all depicted in majestic and magnificent detail as dangerous magical spells, which can affect past and future circumstances, make this tale one to savor and remember.

Although they are drawn on the initial story of Camelot’s Tristan and Isolde, Moore’s lead characters are so uniquely placed and diversely styled on the classic version of the Arthurian legend, they are—in a way—reintroduced to the reader as an entirely new cast. It is a formula that works and fans of King Arthur and his Knights of the Roundtable will not at all be disappointed with this compelling and romantic read. Moore’s well-paced and well-structured plotline in “Bound” turns the somewhat confusing story of Morgan from her prior novel, “Woven”, into an understandable and easy to follow tale.

“Bound” is charged with action, adventure, and emotion... And as Morgan struggles between her past and her concerns for the Princess Isolde in whose body she’s been bound, she suffers an unendurable conflict between her prior romance with Arthur and her now deepening love for Tristan. As Moore brings out every pleasurable moment and each terrible agony suffered in this ill-fated romance, readers will find it difficult, if not impossible, to tear themselves away from her story even for a moment.

I highly recommend this clean romance for all Fantasy lovers, especially fans of the fairy tales, legends, and myths based on the Camelot story who are ages 15 and up.

Moore has managed to weave Morgan le Fay into the archetype of every woman who has been mistreated and misunderstood. Woven enchanted us with the unrequited love, while Bound entrances us with the impossible paradox of a love too deep to trust and a spirit too wounded to believe herself lovable.

Bound is more than meets the eye in the genre of mash-ups and remixes. Moore has managed to ask eternal questions and dares us to resolve them right along with our fae avatar, Morgan.

As a big fan of Arthurian legends but one not familiar with the particular story of Tristan and Isolde, this was a treat for me. Bree Moore has a gift for creating very inventive and complex retellings, interweaving characters from totally different stories via body-swapping and time traveling magic --so really, anything is possible!

I really enjoyed reading this book. This Arthurian tale focuses on Morgan le Fay and her adventurous journey through time. If you are a fan of retellings and Arthurian stories, you should definitely give both Woven and Bound a try.

Love when you actually get to enjoy time with the couple rather than it taking the whole book for them to get together. Worth it for that alone!

Bound is the second novel by Bree Moore and it continues her story of Morgan le Fay from Woven. While Bound has some twists in the plot line, particularly with regards to Morgan's timeline, the story of Tristan and Isolde did not contain many surprises, which was one of the aspects I loved in Woven, the way that Moore took the traditional story of Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, and the Lady of Shallott, and retold that story in a whole new way. I didn't feel that the story of Tristan and Isolde was told in any new way with this retelling. As someone who is very familiar with the story of Tristan and Isolde, that plot strand was very predictable. However, the plot line of Morgan herself was different and intriguing, character development of Isolde/Morgan and Tristan was done very well and their relationship was portrayed realistically. The writing was descriptive and could take the reader to the time period and places portrayed in the novel; the arc of the story was interesting, though not as compelling as Woven; and the redemption of Morgan was my favorite part. Moore's Morgan is probably one of my favorite Arthurian characters in literature because of her realism, her bravery, and her continual striving to become better and to overcome the mistakes and choices of her past.
