Altbabylonisches Lehrbuch: Dritte, Uberarbeitete Auflage (Porta Linguarum Orientalium)
Das Akkadische ist die nach Umfang, geografischer Breite und chronologischer Länge der Bezeugung bedeutendste altorientalische Sprache sowie eine der wichtigsten semitischen Sprachen. Das Altbabylonische Lehrbuch führt anhand des altbabylonischen Dialektes in das Akkadische ein und bietet zugleich eine Einführung in die Keilschrift, das wichtigste Schriftsystem des Alten Orients.
Das Lehrwerk enthält eine kurz gefasste Grammatik auf dem neuesten Stand der Forschung, 15 Lektionen, in denen die Grammatik, das Vokabular, die Keilschriftzeichen und die Technik von Transkription und Transliteration eingeübt werden, sowie in den neuassyrischen Duktus und in die altbabylonische Kursive umgesetzte und kommentierte altbabylonische Lesestücke. Des Weiteren erleichtern ein Glossar, ein nach Wortklassen und Bedeutungsgruppen gegliederter akkadischer Grundwortschatz, ein Zeichenindex, Lösungen zu den Übungen in den Lektionen und den Lesestücken und ein zusätzliches Glossar grammatischer Terminologie das Erlernen des Akkadischen.
English summary: Akkadian is the most important ancient Near Eastern language in terms of its extent, geographical latitude, and chronological length and one of the most important Semitic languages. This textbook introduces the Akkadian language by means of the Old Babylonian dialect and also offers an introduction to cuneiform writing, the most important writing system of the ancient Near East. The textbook contains a short, state-of-the-art grammar, 15 lessons in which the grammar, vocabulary, cuneiform characters, and the techniques of transcription and transliteration are practiced, as well as Old Babylonian readings translated into Neo-Assyrian style and Old Babylonian cursive and commented. Furthermore, a glossary, an Akkadian basic vocabulary structured according to word classes and signifiers, a character index, solutions to the exercises in the lessons and the reading pieces, and an additional glossary of grammatical terminology facilitate the learning of Akkadian.
