This is why I keep coming back for more....
Alexa Riley has the sweet/sexy combo down to an artform. They give us a heaping dose of it, right along with alpha males that are to die for.

Wow this one surprised me! It was the perfect mini-book to read on Labor Day weekend. I felt like the plot was original for the author and the storyline had substance. it's not really smutty book, but it's 100% romantic and what's not to love with an OTT Hero.

I'm not really a fan of H or h with amnesia but I know Alexa Riley is a safe author and I'm not worried to read it. In fact, it's a very good one. It's short but the story is beautiful.
It's about Orlando and Lucy.
He's a retired Ranger and now manages stocks and investments from home.
She's on the run from her abusive grandfather. She got into a car accident and Orlando saved her.
She woke up the next day not knowing who she was and she thought he's her husband. She can't remember anything but she felt safe with him.
I liked that he hated being around people and being touched because of what happened to him when he's still a Ranger but with her, it's different. He'll do anything to protect her and keep her safe.
It has a nice epilogue.

"Labor of Love" is the story of Lucy and Orlando.
Soo...
Our heroine is running from an abusive grandfather when she crashes, gets amnesia, is rescued by the hero who pretends to be her husband, instant-no-memory-required love, sweet sex and HEA with extended epilogues.
Nothing fresh or new. Just having all the classic AR tropes mixed with a new holiday romance.
It was too quick for me to even savor. Wham-bam-sex-thank you CJ.

Labor Of Love fue una lectura que cumplio su funcion, me hizo pasar un rato distraida y fue muy rapida de leer.
Se que las novelas de estas autoras son muuy similares, pero honestamente son mi placer culposo, no me aportan demasiado ( solo entretenimiento ) pero realmente no puedo parar de leerlas.
Labor Of Love es un relato ligero y bastante precipitado, muy del estilo de Alexa Riley.

I'm not a fan of memory loss, so I wasn't sure how I will feel. But it was pretty good. And I probably shouldn't have worried, because its Alexa Riley. AR h are sweet and always feels safe around H. And H always crazily possessive and super protective of his girl.

Sweet and enjoyable smut.
Lucy is running scared from her abusive grandfather, stealing a car when she cant drive and escaping in a torrential downpour is not the wisest of decisions and when she crashes into the gate of the reclusive Orlando. After it becomes clear that she clearly doesn’t remember what happened Orlando lets her assume that they are together and for the first time in her life she feels safe with another person. Can she really have what she has always wanted or will it all be torn away from her when the real truth comes out?
Orlando has been living as a recluse for the past few years in his family estate when Lucy comes literally crashing into his life he is unprepared for the feelings that she evokes in him and from the moment he looks into her eyes one thing becomes clear she is his, she just doesn’t know it yet when she assumes they are together who is he to argue he is determined to keep her no matter what he just hopes that when the truth comes out she can forgive him and see the love he has for her is true.
You have insta-love, drama and family intrigue, a damsel needing an alpha hero and some very hot scenes that’s a recipe for success not matter what. Highly fun read.

What a sweet and smexy quick read! Loved how hero, Orlando knew that innocent and sassy Lucy was his one at first glance. That awful grandfather of Lucy reputation preceded him but my goodness did he get his comeuppance or should I say that "payback is a *itch!"

I am actually pretty astonished how much I enjoyed this sweet, short story. You know when you read 300-400 pages books and you're bored as hell and then you get in your hands 70 pages filled with action, entertainment and beautiful cheesy romance? This is why I put 4 stars in and I usually don't rate such short novellas so high.
Beautiful Lucy is on a run from abusive grandfather, who was taking care of her since she was 3. She crushes her car into a gate of a house of a beautiful loner and wakes up next day with no memory, thinking that handsome Orlando is her newly wed husband and somehow he doesn't correct this 'little one'.
There is something about Alexa and Riley and their short reads when you're in a reading slump. I usually have a list full of reads to go through and when it came to updating that list, I wasn't sure what to pick next. I was glad to stumble upon this story though as it gave me an inspiration for my next 'regular-sized' read.

Super enjoyable really short/fast read. I felt like this story, the premise, the whole arc of it everything was done really well in such a short amount of time.
Lucy, our FMC, is running from an abusive grandfather and in the process crashes the car she stole into a gate. Orlando runs out to his smashed gate to find a small, beautiful woman, begging for him to save her and not let "him" find her. Orlando, has a tortured past in the military with a heavy PSTD, and yet pulling this small woman from a mangled vehicle, instead of triggering a flashback, triggers the man he used to be, the man who bears the scars from the fire he crawled through, repeatedly, to save people. Now here is Lucy, who brings back all the feelings he used to have, and showing her own scars and bruises evidence of the abuse she suffers, and she can't even remember her name. She assumes he is her husband and in a fit of panic that he might scare her, he says yes. Now he has to do everything to make her fall in love with him before she gets her memory back and he looses her forever, and he must also make sure no one can take her from him.
It was good and had that fast HEA that AR is famous for!

This is my new Favorite Alexa Riley book to date!!!! It was absolutely Wonderful!! It's sexy and so angsty! I absolutely love Orlando and Lucy!!! I love the how he just wants to make her happy and to keep her. He will do anything to protect her even lie to her. I Love how Lucy really sees Orlando. She doesn't just see his scars she sees the man. Their love was absolutely everything!! I am so in love with this story and these characters!! It definitely keeps you o the edge of your seat with everything that is going on in the background! I was Amazing!!! I will definitely be reading this one again and again! If you are to pick up any Alexa Riley book let it be this one!!

A very enjoyable read of two people, one with scars of war, the other running from an abusive home.
Lucy is running from her home taking a backpack with a few pieces of clothing and a vintage car from the garage. She drives thru a downpour of rain, she hits a slick spot, sliding, crashing into the gated driveway of home of a reclusive man.
Orlando hears a crash and runs out into the rain to see if anyone was hurt. What he finds is a young woman in the car. He removes her from the car and rushes her into the house. When he sees Marta, his housekeeper and tells her to call Doc and to have her husband to remove the car from his gate and put in it in in the garage.
He proceeds up the stairs to his bedroom laying her down on the bed. As he removes her wet clothes he sees...is confirmed when Marta comes into the room and a sharp intake of breath is heard.

Oh my god the cuteness of this. Alexa and Riley are amazing. I love them together. This duet will never get old.

This story was an absolute pleasure to read it was all I expected it to be and more. You have the sweet girl The Alpha male and all the twists and turns of an amazing Alexa Riley book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this pairing and the story that unfolded. I could not put it down. This book was well written and flowed from page to page.
Lucy is a sweet girl who deserves a beautiful life. Orlando is a rough tough Alpha man who is more than he appears. Their lives intersect and an amazing book is born.

Labor Day fireworks fill this sweet, smutty romance. It’s so pretty!
Family drama, amnesia, a damsel in distress and a heroic alpha male who falls head over heels in love with his little one at first sight.
I loved this new jewel from AR. The girl is running from some nasty events, but she crashes into the reclusive hero’s life to find the happiness she deserves. Beautifully sweet, really romantic. The scene with the flag would be worth seeing it for real :-D
Orlando, what an unusual and catchy name. He dotes on Lucy, goes to any length to protect her and make her his. Swoon! The amnesia was an exciting element that I wish came up more often in stories. One of my favourites from this author. Lovely and passionate, and a perfect Labor Day treat.
