I like this book.It shows how when someone is copying you it is very confusing because you don’t know if it is to spite you or because they want to be like you.The only thing I don’t like is how conceded Suzanne is.I was pretty good though.🌪
My 6 year old said “It was cool it was fun and you might like because it’s really really fun.” She liked the part when they became friends because “they can be friends forever”.
To absolute no surprise, this was the first book of the series I read despite it being the 7th, and this is due entirely to my refusal to read summaries.
Drat you Copy-Cat is a fun book from the Katie Kazoo series, about a girl named Katie (or what her friends call her Katie Kazoo) and her friends.
In this book there is a new girl, Becky, from Atlanta. Katie decided to open up and let her in as her friend (because Katie does not like anyone to feel lonely), but Becky on the other hand totally rejects Katie's kindness, and runs over to Suzzane (one of Katie's best friends) and tried to become her best friend.
Becky started liking everything that Suzzane did, so she did them too. She bought the same clothes, she ate the same food, she even tried to do the same research project as Suzzane, and Suzzane hated it.
Everything had flipped! Katie was jealous of Suzzane taking her new friend, and Suzzane was no longer the most unique one in school. Katie was fed up, she needed to talk to Becky, and she did.
Becky realized that all she needed to do was to be herself to become friends with people. Be yourself, and things will come your way.
when becky starts copying suzzane.suzzane starts to get mad and becky copied her on a project so suzzane couldn't pick cleopatra her favorite god.and when katie turns into becky when its her turn her whole class laughs at katie who is becky and when katie turns back to normal she feels bad for becky.
Katie turns into the new girl at school and finds out why she's trying so hard to copy everything that Suzanne does. It's up to Katie to save the day before an all out war erupts!
A fun book to pass the time. I like Katie - she's so good-hearted!
I don't think we will be picking this group to read more of. It was quite boring to some of us. The one character, Suzanne, drove me crazy because she is so full if herself.
One of the books I grew up with. Every after dismissal, I always go to the school library in hope that I would find a new book of the Katie Kazoo series.
Read to the girls. They liked it. We have three or four. I went ahead and ordered a few on paperbackswap.com but there are tons. I don't think we'll get them all.
