Raine Collins has moved beyond her troubling past, and she's come out stronger. Throwing herself into teaching self-defense, she won't let anyone control her life. At odds with her meddling Gran's ghost, Raine agrees to meet with a matchmaker. Gran is determined to make sure Raine doesn't end up alone with one last birthday gift. Kian Walsh sent his abusive father to prison years ago, too bad the man didn't stay behind bars. Knowing his dad is on parole has Kian's instincts on high alert. Kian's built his life around controlling his cougar and the instinct that drives them. Now the overwhelming need to find a mate has him seeking out help. Kian knows she's the one, Raine thinks he's full of crap. With the help of Gerri the matchmaker, maybe Raine and Kian can find love together. Will Raine's past stay dead and can Kian come to terms with his cougar?
Michelle writes alongside keeping her two tiny children, three dogs, three chickens, and husband alive. Slowly as her sanity teeters on the edge, she writes novels to escape every day.
Currently, she dreams up new worlds in Denver, Colorado, although she still embraces her roots from Chicago. Writing is a part of her, just as coffee and chocolate are her life-blood. In a world that is far too serious for its own good, she writes an escape.
I loved the title of the book and how it fit so perfectly with the characters. When will people learn that Gerri never makes a mistake in her matches, it seems to take the characters so long to reach the proper thoughts.
The women think they are never beautiful enough and the men don't think they are worth it. But they must fight these feelings if they want their match to work. Always fighting the connection and pushing each other away.
Will danger come to them, will they find what they need before it's too late. You will laugh and cry while reading this, but you will enjoy the journey.
He knows she is his mate as soon as he sees her but she thinks it is a load of rubbish. She teaches self defence and she has a bad past. He got his father sent to prison but does not stay there. Their lives may become involved and complicated. Can he help her overcome her past? Follow their adventures
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another great read in the Paranormal Dating agency series and once again the characters don't think that Grri has got it right when will they learn.
Raine is one tough lady she teaches martial arts and self defence to other women she doesn't need a man in her life but if it will get her Grams to stop harassing her she will go to a matchmaker she just knows that nothing will come of it. Kian who is a firefighter cougar shifter that needs a mate to control his rages but he isn't sure about the woman that Gerri has matched him with. When he sends her away and danger stalks her he has to step up to protect her. Will these two let their walls enough to realize what they have
First of all this author needs a good editor, the story would have been good if there was a tad more character building and it was longer I read this in about an hour.
When you pick up a shifter story, there are expectations. You want action, romance, you want some magic to pop off the screen.
Boy did it pop off the screen (the kindle screen that is..) I loved this book. I've been an avid follower of Ms. Ziegler's work for a long time now and this book was just another testament to her amazing storytelling talents.
Loved the book. But how could I not when she almost as the exact name as me. One tough woman with a past that scares her. But she uses it to teach self defense to others. He is a cougar shifter and when Geri sets them up their world will be changed forever. And don’t forget about the wonderful grandmother that even in death is helping her granddaughter. Some action and lots of love.
This was a nice addition to this Kindle World. The storyline kept me engaged. At the beginning neither character really appealed to me, but within a few chapters I found them to become much more likeable.
If you're looking for something scorching hot and sensual then grab some of these books!!! Paranormal Dating Agency authors really have a way of drawing you into the story and making you see their characters lives. Awesome and Loving Mates who make you laugh and cry.
Hi, I’m going to be very honest about this book in the hopes that not only this author but others see this and rectify the problem.
The premise of most of the books I read are great but it’s ruined by either lazy proofing or nonexistent proofing. Nothing makes me more frustrated while reading anything than having to try and figure out what the author was trying to say by having to guess and figure out what words should have been there or words that were misspelled, pronouns misplaced. His used when it should have been Her. Run on sentences, misplaced punctuation or none at all. I hope that it’s out of the author’s hands once it’s presented to whoever it goes to before the public gets to read it. I can understand a few mistakes but when I cannot get halfway through a book or even through the first chapter because it’s too hard to interpret what the author is trying to portray the characters dialogue and actions. And this is unfortunately showing through the whole series and I will not be finishing it. I couldn’t read book one so I tried to read book two and this is the review. I’m sorry to be so blunt but somebody has to say something because it happens more than it should and I don’t know if it’s because authors are having to self-produce because it’s so hard to get published nowadays because most people read electronically or not? There’s so many great authors out there but it’s getting harder to stay with them because I don’t want to waste my time and what little money I have on books I cannot finish..
Reading is my favorite thing to do and I read anywhere from 3 to 5 books a week. I know that’s hard to believe but it’s true. I’m disabled and can’t work but I love to read so I can escape the nastiness of the world.
I needed to get this off my chest and I hope more people will speak up too so that the problem can be fixed. I also hope that this particular author doesn’t take this review too personally because I just wanted to help if possible.
Moving on from a troubled past, Raine Collins now teaches self-defence and won't let anyone control her life. However, she is at odds with her late gran's ghost and so agrees to meet Gerri Wilder from the Paranormal Dating Agency. Cougar shifter and fireman Kian Walsh sent his father to prison years ago for domestic abuse but he is back out and with his Mum. Kian has built his life around controlling his cougar but now it is insisting it is time for them to find a mate. Kian goes to Gerri Wilder at the PDA for help. Kian knows that Raine is the one but she thinks he is full of rubbish. Maybe with the help of Gerri they can find love together, Can Raine's past stay buried and can Kian come to terms with his cougar.
I enjoyed the story and the various dramatic events that occurred. Raine was nice and sassy and Kian was a great guy who was struggling a bit with his cougar and just needed the love of a good woman to tame him. Sadly the book was littered with spelling mistakes (including spelling Raine's name wrong in one place) and so I had to drop one star in my rating. Enjoyable if you can see past the mistakes. Contains explicit sexual content.
I'm basing my review on this story for the overall like of the story. Both Kian and Raine have an abusive past. For Raine she's had to learn the hard way that just like humans, there are bad shifters. Kian's abuse came from his father and watching his mother take the abuse as well. To try and keep his animal at bay, Kian finally gives in to see if the acclaimed Gerri Wilder can find him a mate. However, he never thought that Gerri would try to set him up with a human woman. To appease her dead grandmother, Raine gives Gerri the go ahead to find her a mate. But she didn't expect Gerri to set her up with a shifter, especially after her past experience.
The overall story was really good. The idea of two abused hearts finding their solace in each other is an awesome and cute idea. But what I can't get over is the glaring mistakes in this book. What also was rather aggravating was how every time Kian or Raine would talk, each sentence started out as "I. I..." then continue on. I get stuttering a bit when nervous, but to do it each and every time you talk, no.
Story was excellent. she does need a proofreader but then most people who write books do. So to anybody that is complaining you have no room to talk unless you’ve wrote in her shoes. I have wrote Two books myself and know what I’m talking about. I think she’s a good writer, she stayed within the storylines of a Geri wilder paranormal Dating Agency Book. iIt was good book and a good read. It had a good build up to the story, it had a good plot to it and the characters were believable. I really enjoyed reading the book and I can’t wait to read more of her writing,in fact I just went to her web page on Amazon and ordered another one of her books. I think this book is a five star and she deserves to be praised instead of what some of you are doing. It takes a lot to write a book and believe me this girl has got what it takes. I recommend this book to read for your enjoyment.
The PDA Series (Paranormal Dating Agency)books are a favorite of mine, and I love Milly Taiden & thank her for starting these books, what is also great is she has added contributing Authors to add to these wonderful stories. This being said,a few of the contributing Authors have fallen short in following Milly's main character, Geri Wilder, the famed matchmaker & owner of the PDA. I am thrilled that MICHELLE ZIEGLER'S writing has gotten it right ! This book grabs you right from the beginning, (Raine can have conversations with her deceased Grandmother, ) and keep you there to the very end. Raine & Kian have become a favorite couple of mine, as is this book. Each book in the PDA Series is a stand alone story, no cliff hangers & of course, a HEA!!. Michelle Ziegler gives us wonderful characters to root for & enjoy, I can't wait for her new books to be released.
Michelle your work it's awesome. I love Raine's personality she is strong and independent woman but vulnerable and in need for true love, she had a bad relationship with a shifter before and didn't end well, that mark her for a long time. That was until sexy and handsome Kian came into the picture with his beautiful smile and gorgeous green eyes to make scream to the moon and chance everything for both. Kian had some issues with his parents from a dad beating at his mom and send him to jail for that, breaking the relationship between his mom and him. Raine had her own problems to solve and a pack of wolves the are trying to claim her like theirs. No gonna happen. I love her Grandma she is so cool and funny. I enjoy reading this book with the steamy parts and the sad parts you won't stop reading.
I love the Paranormal Dating Agency books and am happy that Milly Taiden has allowed other authors to write some books that feature Gerri Wilder. Kian and Raines story had a few ups and downs with both of them bringing some baggage into the relationship. Raines' grandma was fantastic. She was sweet, funny and a although she was a ghost, she was not shy about expressing her opinion which was often funny. This was an entertaining read that held my attention from beginning to end. I also recommend what I think is the next book in the series, though not a Paranormal Dating Agency one, "Icing On His Mate." I read it before I found this one and really enjoyed it too.
A PDA story, well written, if you ignore a number of editing errors. A whole scene has Gerri's name spelled "Geri" ! We know how these stories go...Gerri sets up a couple, problems ensue, often dealing with things in either or both of their pasts, the couple works things out and live happily mated for life. The skill with which this format is executed separates a one star review from a 5 star 🌟 rating. It's all subjective...what do YOU think..?!
Strong female dragon lead character with a prince dragon. He tries to keep her safe and save her but she is a strong independent woman who breaks free from his idea of "safe" and helps him save his father's kingdom. He finally admits that he could not have done it without her. Great story, brings back many of Blackstones previous characters and teases as to future books including one of the Princes' guards. I enjoyed it.
A story about two souls damaged by abuse finding that love, trust and sexual satisfaction can go a long way to changing their lives from good to great. Sadly, the blatant disregard for correct, spelling and pronouns, as well as the missing words in many sentences made it impossible for me to totally enjoy the story. This book was not what I have come to expect when I read a PDA story.
Sexy characters who get together through a dating agency. There's some supernatural stuff going on but I can't tell you about it. You need to read the book to find out. Lots of action, the sexy kind and otherwise. I might be a prude but I would say not for the under 21. A great read.
I loved how Raine's Gran kept popping up just to bug her. Kian needs to find a mate before he loses control of his animal, but his parents' bad example of wedded bliss have him scarred and scared of losing himself to a female. Together they need to find a clear path to happiness.
Please, Please have SOMEONE PROOF Read these books. I love these books and although I knew Tilley didn't write this one, it was still good.... But for the love of all that's holy, get a proof reader. I suck at punctuation, but the spelling errors?? Smh Someone should've caught em? Hire me! I'll do it.
I knew when Kian sent her away that's when the wolf pack was going to make their move. Raine sure is badass and the purrfect mate for Kian. I wish he had found his dad and put his ass back in jail. I really, really enjoyed this.
I really enjoy Paranormal Dating Agency romances and this one was scorching hot and fantastic! This is a fun loving sexy shifter story, with great chemistry between the characters and an overall fun entertaining read and quite enjoyable. I will definitely read more from this author!
I liked this one, it stays true to the PDA world however, the characters sure know how to rile each other up. The ghost aka grandmother had me in stitches.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
One of my favorite authors. Always excellent stories.
I am so into the Paranormal Dating Agency books as they are just the best. The different characters and shifter animals just make it and Gerri always knows best.
A great addition to the PDA world! These two have a slew of personal insecurities to work through, but with such strong silver ladies in their corner, they are sure to make it to their HEA. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
This story is very entertaining, but it only earned four stars because of the number of errors included inside. It is a very quick read and contains much heat! A worthy but if you can overlook the errors.
He just doesn’t know how much. And she needs him. Good story, highlights some of the basic facts about abuse without being morbid or preachy. Sometimes it takes awhile for the lessons to sink into your psyche.
Loved this paranormal shifter romance. Both coming from abusive pasts they both had given up hope that they would ever have the one...what a fun, flirty, steamy Rollercoaster ride. Loved it❤❤❤❤ I volunteered an honest opinion for this book.
