I, Agnes Sylvester, a successful author known as Adeline Snow to the romance community, enjoy the simple things in life: watching the X Games with my childhood friend Todd; taking pictures of interesting buildings; and creating stories based on fantasies about my favorite skateboarder, Spencer Garrison. I’m known for my extreme sports stories, and as long as no one ever figures out he’s my muse, all is well.

But fate has never liked me and now that muse is standing in front of me. Asking me to sign a book.

What.
Is.
Happening!?!

“Extreme Sports Superstar” is the term the media has used to describe me over the years. I prefer to just be Spencer Garrison, a small-town guy who happens to ride a skateboard for a living and is known for philanthropy.

Nearing retirement, I’m focusing on my non-profit efforts and building a life outside of a professional athlete. My agent won’t let me retire in peace and consequently a talented and kindhearted woman stumbles her way into my life.

Sometimes happy endings aren’t written. They’re lived.

Switch Stance is my favourite Audiobook to date. I absolutely loved this story. I spent a lot of times going to book signings last year so I found this book relatable and I couldn’t get enough of this story. Switch Stance has both a male and female narrator and the duo are the best I’ve heard to date. I can’t recommend this book anymore. In fact, it’s going in the favourite category which not many books make it into.

Agnes is a famous romance author. Her pen name Adeline Snow has a line of women who are in love with her books. Her muse for her swoon-worthy male leads is her biggest secret. One she doesn’t want to share.

Spencer Garrison is a famous skateboarder. His sister is desperate to have a companion for a book signing. She’s a huge fan of Adeline Snow.

When Agnes meets her muse. She is star struck but when her words on the page seem to have stopped following.

This story covers all angles of an authors life. It’s funny, entertaining and Spencer really is the perfect guy.

I won this audiobook series. This is my first book by this author duo and I can’t wait for more. I’m hooked.

A swoon-worthy romance about meeting the man of your dreams.

Some really nice bits but enough annoying ones to take it out of the enjoyable rating. 2*

Agnes Sylvester, the heroine, was thoroughly enjoyable. She is clumsy, shy, and her mind wanders off in hilarious ways. She is also Adeline Snow, a romance author. And I just could not buy into this version of Aggi. Nothing about her was believable. Her fans made no sense, her inability to answer basic questions was non-sensical. I cringed reading any of the scenes where she is being an author in public.

The set up to get her travelling the country with her sports celebrity crush was ridiculous. He was annoying at first but by the end I liked him too. He makes a couple of very sweet declarations. I definitely awwed when reading his sweet words whispered in the Texas state legislature rotunda for all to hear.

The editing was atrocious. Both for English errors and for content. Though it is a bit funny one of the missing bits is about Aggie’s editor. She is supposed to meet up with her at a book signing. Since we had to hear about this woman and read the set up for the meeting but then the whole scene is missing. Really everything about that woman should have been removed from the book as it was pointless.

But every time the bad editing was getting me ready to give up there would be a really good bit. Which ultimately made this a very frustrating read. I will try another by this author and hope it is better.

OMG I've fallen in love with Andrea's Work after I read The Break Series, she's an one click author for me, I have some of M.E. Carter's work on the kindle but never had a chance to read some yet, but after this novel her books are up next :).
Switch Stance a Romcom by these two lovely authors, was amazing, page turning, funny, great characters. You wanted to know more about Adeline and Spencer from the very first two chapters, i couldn't wait to finish this loved it from beginning to end the characters were real with real flaws. Highly recommend this book to anyone you wouldn't be disappointed.

A fun escape read into the behind-the-scenes world of being an author. At the same time, we see both her personal and professional personas. Aggi is a klutz, quirky, and a bit insecure, while Adi is confident. Spencer is just a dream. But Kate, now she I can relate to!

I enjoyed this book and did not want it to end; I felt like I was tagging along and did not want to miss a moment.

Thank you to NetGalley, and Author Collective 20, for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

I think I knew from the very first chapter that I was going to love this book. It started off very strong, introducing our main characters and their amazing qualities in a way that made me want to climb into the story and find out what was going to happen next. Our quirky heroine was so sweet and endearing that I rooted for her from the very beginning. And our sexy skateboarding muse was just the cherry on top of the story.

So you're probably wondering why I only gave it 4 stars. Well, besides the fact that I'm extremely picky about giving out 5 stars to a book, for some reason I kind of lost my intense desire to find out what was going to happen next somewhere in the middle of this book. Be it the fact that our hero was maybe a little too perfect, or maybe a little too sweet for my taste? Or possibly just because the story slowed down a bit, I found myself feeling pretty sure I knew how this story was going to end. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but I just wanted a little more excitement from the story I think.

But this book was honestly really fun. I loved Aggi (Agnes, Adi, Adeline.) She had as many personality quirks as she had names. She was so endearing and hilarious. I loved reading about her character and I loved hearing about her life. Spencer was the perfect hero for her character, balancing her craziness with patience and sincerity.

So I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves sports romance. And I really hope that Andrea Johnston and ME Carter continue to write together in the future!

When one of your very favorite authors takes a character from her Country Road series & pairs with another fave author and a character from her My New Life series, you know it’s going to be amazing!

Aggi is quirky & klutzy and yet Adi is a badass (although we see her inner insecurity from time to time). Spencer is a dreamy extreme athlete but we see his softer side with Aggi!

Kate though. I loooove Kate. She represents all of us book nerds who love a good romance with a swoony hero and fangirls over her favorite author.

I love the way both authors brought their personality and their writing styles to this book. The characters are perfection. I laughed out loud. I swooned over Spencer. I felt for Aggi and her insecurities. And I want Kate to room with me at a signing!

Well done ladies! Loved it from cover to cover!

I loved this book! There are so many moments that make you feel. There are times you want to just shove the characters together and tell them they are perfect for each other but watching their story progress is so satisfying. I loved this collab and can't wait for more from both of the authors!

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

I loved the idea of an author coming face to face with her muse. In this case, Aggi, aka Adeline Snow, meets her muse, Spencer Garrison, the extreme sports star. And the way they meet is fantastic. Spencer accompanies his sister to a signing and from the minute he sees Aggi, he can't stop thinking about her. Meanwhile, Aggi cannot believe that she is actually meeting her muse. And embarrassing herself in front of him. Repeatedly. And then she has to go on tour with him. No, really.

There is so much to like about this book. Aggi and Spencer are wonderful characters that you can't help but love. At first Aggi thinks that there is no way that Spencer could actually like her, but as they start to spend more time together, she starts to see Spencer for the regular guy he is. Sure, he might be a famous athlete, but he's very down to earth and finds Aggi to be unlike anyone he's ever met before. And he loves that. They have a fun, playful relationship that made me think #relationshipgoals pretty much the whole time. Because y'all...Spencer is the SWEETEST and amazing book boyfriend material.

One of the things I also loved about this book is the whole "insiders view" of attending a book signing. We get Aggi's point of view as an author and then Spencer's as a "reader". I laughed out loud more than once because I thought "Yup. Exactly!" It was a fantastic nod to something that I could relate to, but it was also so much fun!

While this is a crossover book of sorts, you do not need to have read either series to enjoy this book. I admit that I have not read Andrea's books, but it didn't matter.

At the time of this posting, 50% of proceeds from the sale of this book was going to charity, so you can't go wrong. You'll get a fun story and also help out a great cause!

I loved every second of this book! Andrea Johnston and M.E. Carter need to write more books together ASAP, because this book was everything. I loved how relatable Aggi was in this book! She was kindhearted, funny, had insecurities about herself and was accident prone but all of these qualities came together and made her one of the most endearing characters I have read about in awhile. Plus add in the fact that she is this amazing extreme sports author, who has a major crush on her muse and you have the makings of one heck of a story! From the beginning I was hooked on both Aggi and Spencer's individual stories. Both were facing relatable struggles in their lives that they had to work through. However the real magic happened when Spencer and Aggi first met! It was epic! I loved that they met at a book signing! It was sweet, funny and endearing all at the same time! I can still perfectly envision how Aggi felt in that moment meeting her muse and it brings a smile to my face. This book is a slow-burn romance but it's absolutely perfect. Not only did Spencer and Aggi capture my heart but so did all of their friends and family members. If you love heartwarming romances, swoonworthy moments, memorable characters and laugh out loud moments, then this book is for you!

When two of my most favourite authors get together and pen a story, you just know it'll be bloody great!!
These characters are real and so much of what we all are secretly - book nerds!!
The utter clumsiness of the main character Addi/Aggi just screams normal!! We've all made utter dicks of ourselves in the most spectacular way time or another as adults!!
I always love how the two authors interweave the joy of charity and volunteering work.
There is much to love about this first time get together of these two authors. Hopefully, this'll be just a first of many!!

Switch Stance is a freaking cute story that will have you wanting to meet your real life muse! I loved how this story was sweet and clean, every now and then I need a break from all of the sex and this was the perfect balance of romantic and sweet with hand holding and stolen moments with obvious sexual tension.

We met our heroine, Aggi, in Amazing Grayson and I loved her then and I loved her even more after getting in her head. I spent a great deal of the story trying to figure out who was who when they discussed things in the story, and the best I can tell is that it's a mash-up of a bunch of authors in one.

I thoroughly enjoyed Switch Stance, I was in a funky reading headspace when I dove in and it cured me! I am no longer dragging and I'm back on my reading game and I have Switch Stance to think for that!

Five Reasons you Should Buy Switch Stance:

1. It takes place at book signings and if you’ve ever been to one you will relate.

2. You get inside authors heads and I’m pretty sure 95% of this is truth.

3. Spencer Garrison is literally a book boyfriend come to life.

4. Andrea Johnston and Mary Elizabeth Carter teamed up is pure brilliance and I need another book from them! (author + narrator romance? YES PLEASE!)

5. 50% of all e-book sales for the month of September 2018 will be donated to charity. The chosen charity is The A.skate Foundation. A.skate's Mission Statement says it all: A.skate - Autism. Skating with Kids through Acceptance, Therapy, and Education

Loved this new rom-com that is definitely a quick, but entertaining, little read. I tend to like my books a little longer. So, that’s the reason for the 4-star rating. Both main characters were awesome! Agnes, the sports romance author, with her insanely comical little quirks. Her clumsiness. Her ability to voice her thoughts without realizing she was doing so. And, Spencer, the gorgeous skateboard phenomenon. Who incidentally happens to just be “Adeline Snow’s” writing muse. When they meet, it’s under the most unusual circumstance. And, Aggi is floored. Left speechless. Spencer is one swoon-worthy dude. And, when he smiles, ay caramba! Fireworks go off in her head. See what happens as this duo gets to know each other. And, will they get their “happily ever after”? You will not be disappointed as their love story is revealed...

Such a cool cover that was designed for this love story!

A comical and whimsical collaboration between Carter and Johnston that was just what rom-com should be. A sweet love story between two opposites - one an extreme athlete and the other a nerdy, introvert who happens to be a NYT Bestselling author. I loved this coupling -- and the chemistry and sizzle between them. Watching Adeline meet her muse was just too good to be true. And watching as Spencer convince her to fall in love with him was perfect!

Fun and easy read that was just what I needed! If you're looking for a weekend read without a bunch of angst, pain and sadness, this is it!

I love M.E. Carter and Andrea Johnston separately and was excited/nervous to see how their collaboration would be. This book flew so high in the air with the best tricks. I just loved it.
As much as I'd think the book I'd about skateboarding, it's not. Its about finding your true self and believing in who you are. It's about taking a chance though it scares you. The chemistry and burn between Adi/Aggi and Spencer was perfect.

Holy cow, I loved this book so much! What an amazing collaboration between two fantastic authors. I really loved the peek into the mind of an author. Aggi was such an awesome character. The anxiety, writer's block, having to be THAT person in public, no matter who you are in real life. And Spencer...... sigh..... I want to meet him at a book signing!! Lol.
I hope this is not the last of the teamwork of this duo! Andrea Johnston and M.E. Carter nailed it!

Switch Stance was a very fun read. It is about an author and a professional skateboarder. I absolutely loved that so many things about the book world were included in the story. It’s romcom at its finest. I was a little disappointed that sexy time was glossed over. I like to have the choice to read it or not. This story will make you giggle, swoon, and appreciate what an awesome community we are a part of.

Received this book as an ARC.

This was a little different from my normal reads. But I liked it. I was a little impatient for things to happen. But super happy with the ending. This is a new to me author(s). They will be selling this book to raise money for Autism! Even though I received and ARC, I will also purchase the book.

ME Carter and Andrea Johnston are forces to be reckoned with on their own - together, they’re a firestorm of talent and wit!

Switch Stance takes Adeline Snow, a romance author with awesome style and a great sense of humor, and throws her together with Spencer Garrison, extreme skateboarder and the muse who she bases her male characters off of.

This sweet romance is fun to read, let’s us catch up with a few of our favorite Carter and Johnston characters, will have you laughing, and leave you smiling!

Imagine meeting your celebrity crush, I for one couldn’t imagine it ever happening but for Agnes it happened. I feel like I know Anges, well at least her insecurities and clumsiness. No matter what/how you feel about yourself, your man is the one that makes you feel absolutely beautiful and Spencer is a good man to help her stay out of her head. Skateboard legend and sport romance author make a great story. Thank you Andrea and ME for bringing your two worlds together.

I loved this book! It was so fun to read and I loved that the leading female character wasn't your typical hot girl. Adi/Aggi is a quirky, clumsy, introverted author. She using a pen name of Adeline Snow to keep her true identity concealed as well as give her a sense of privacy. Throughout the years of her writing she's had a muse, a secret muse, professional skateboarder Spencer Garrison.

Spencer is not your typical cocky athlete either which makes this book even better. He loves his sport but he also wants to use what fame he has received from the sport to make a difference in the world. He's also not put off by Aggi's quirks or clumsy attitude. He's so swoon worthy.

Read this book and you'll want a Spencer of your own and aspire to be more like Aggi...comfortable in your own skin.

Trying to write a review for this book is like asking someone to explain ambrosia. We know it’s the nectar of the gods and has mystical powers, but unless you’ve actually taken a bite, any comparison is pointless. And just like it, this story will leave you with a feeling of repletion.
Switch Stance gives us Aggi, a corky, clumsy, slightly awkward romance author who is one- hundred and fifty percent relatable. But with a switch of wardrobe, hairstyle, contact lenses, and some red lips Aggi becomes Best Selling Extreme Sports Romance Writer- Adeline Snow, who has used Skateboard Champion Spencer Garrison as her muse for multiple best sellers. I so want to tell you I have an alter ego too and related to Adeline but I don’t. It was Aggi’s awkward and less than graceful moments that resonated with me. She very much fit in with our heroines of the #MyNewLife Series.
And Spencer! Oh sweet baby angels in heaven! Spencer was everything I had been waiting for since Bourbon & Bonfires! Sexy, athletic, sensitive, family oriented. He rolled with the punches, or in this case, the elbows and took everything in stride. He was so patient and good humored, but most importantly, he didn’t let Aggi use her alter ego as a shield. He very much fits the mold of our stellar Heroes of The Country Road Series.
Switch Stance is the perfect combination of romance and laugh out loud humor! M.E. Carter and Andrea Johnston are incredible separately. Together they are unstoppable!

This book was amazing. Imagine combining to superpowers and that is what you get from the combo of these two authors. I loved the behind the scenes quality this book gave and the glimpse into the crazy world of book signings and super fans. Of course the hero was also swoon worthy. My favorite part was that the characters were real with real flaws. And talk about funny!! This book had all the feels and is one that should not be missed.

Damn!

I'm so mad at myself for not reading this book sooner! I love both authors independently. Together... WOW! The descriptions of book signings are so accurate. I lose my brain because I'm fan girling so hard. Our heroine is my new favorite character. She is bad ass, real, and relatable. Buy this book!

Switch Stance is such a fun, engaging read full of heat, heart and humor! A slow burn romance, with quite a few laugh out loud moments.

I adore the Country Road series, and could not wait to read Spencer's story. Although I haven't read the #MyNewLife series, this title has just whet my appetite.

Switch Stance features Agnes Sylvester and Spencer Garrison. Both characters are not only realistic and relatable, but endearing and dynamic.

Spencer is a sexy pro-skateboarder, dedicated, passionate, and overall a good guy who hasn't let his fame go to his head. He's patient, sincere and kind.

Agnes Sylvester is an author who writes under the alter ego of Adeline Snow. Agnes is quirky, shy sweet and a bit of a klutz. She's kind hearted, but quite insecure and vulnerable to hurt. Her alter ego is stylish, confident and has a great sense of humor.

I've always enjoyed this writing duo's work separately, but I adored this book, and cannot wait to dive into M.E. Carter's #MyNewLife Series and cannot wait to see what they both come up with next.
