There is just something about contract marriages that I love. I think it's kind of a like a modern day Cinderella story with a twist.
Kinsley's brother needs surgery on his spine and the insurance company is denying coverage for the surgery. When she is contacted by Luxe Connections for a possible marriage matchmaking connection, she realizes she can use this opportunity to help her brother pay for his surgery.
Sullivan has no desire to get married but when his mom made him an appointment with her college friend who runs a matchmaking company, he sees the opportunity for what it is, to find a woman to marry as a business arrangement. This will not only keep his mother happy but also provide him with a companion without getting in the way of work.
I think part of my enjoyment of the contract marriages is watching the cold, rich man slowly melt for the woman who he wasn't suppose to fall in love with and find his happily forever. Sullivan did just that for Kinsley. They were such a cute couple and this was a cute story! ARC provided by NetGalley.
I love a good marriage of convenience story and this one was great. Hero is looking for a contract wife, he wants no emotions, no children just an arranged marriage. Heroine is looking for a rich man not because she is a gold-digger but because she needs money for her brother's surgery. However they soon fall in love and Kinsley is pregnant so all bets are off. Safe: no virgins here but they are both faithful. Epilogue with 2 kids and heroine graduating is adorable. Can't wait for book 2!
Fiona Davenport is one of my favorite writing duos! I dont have many that I auto buy and they have been one of the few. While I appreciate that this is safe and neither are with others after they meet, I just struggled warming up to the hero, Sullivan.
Sullivan was kind of a jerk. I don't mind that as long as they redeem themselves earlier on, but it felt like it was way late in the book before I felt his affection for the heroine.
-no cheating -no ow/om drama - -no pushing away but they kept themselves st arms length a large part of the book -safe- neither with others after meeting -neither are virgins. The hero hadn't been with anyone for a few months (and he engaged in quick f$$ks 🤮) could have done without that info -just ok epilogue with a setup for his friend Miles. I'll need more info because a breakup sent him out of the country and now he wants to find a wife. Sounds like he loved the ex a lot so I'm hoping it's not a "pining for the ex" situation
Still loving this after my third read! These two had chemistry from the very first meeting. The sex scenes were hot as hell and I loved reading about them falling in love.It ends with a HEA that left me smiling!
This is a quick, sweet, sexy and completely safe read. Kinsley and Sullivan were enjoyable and likeable characters. I do look forward to the next book in the series.
Bought for marriage de Fiona Davenport serie Bought by a Billionaire libro 1
No sé si llamarlo insta-amor mejor sería insta-lujuria. El protagonista no se vuelve loco de amor por la chica al momento que la ve pero si le atrae físicamente.
Lo que me lleva a dos puntos del porqué no me gustó nada;
This is the first book in a new series, I love her books so couldn’t wait to read it. I wasn’t disappointed.
Sullivan is trying to focus on the family Real Estate business when his mother and father decide it’s time for him to get married and sets him up with an appointment with a matchmaking service. Seeing the benefits of having a marriage of convenience he goes along with the plan, that is until he meets Kinsley and can see more than he ever thought waited for him in the future. Suddenly married and wanting an entirely different life than he did previously but how can he tell Kinsley that the rules have changed and will she stay?
Kinsley’s older brother desperately needs surgery so he can learn to walk again but they have been denied by the insurance company for the last time. Realising that she has the opportunity to pay for the surgery all she needs to do is agree to a marriage of convenience. However when she meets Sullivan her feelings grow and before long she broken every term of the contract, how will she tell Sullivan that she loves him and that they have a surprise arriving soon?
I do love my possessive alpha men and feisty heroines always a hit with me and the way their attitude to one another changes through the book is just perfect. Highly recommended.
Desperate times and all that...Sullivan has reached that point and is willing to do anything to thwart his mom's not at all subtle attempts to play matchmaker. He doesn't have the time nor inclination for a relationship, but neither does he have the ability to tell his mom this either. Instead, he decides an arranged marriage is the answer to his problem. Everything will be planned and he'll get the perks.
Kinsley's brother needs medical treatment, but it's expensive and the insurance won't cover it, despite the fact it will make him better. Being desperate, she takes the opportunity to enter an arranged marriage. No, it's not the fairy tale little girls dream of, but she'd do anything for her brother. Her only stipulation is an advance, so she can pay for the treatment right away.
Sullivan is immediately enthralled with Kinsley and is looking forward to what they'll have, though he ensures she knows there will be no emotions involved, and she will have to play the part of a loving wife in public.
It isn't long before both begin having feelings, but they each know that wasn't part of the plan, so they're left wondering...where does that leave them?
What happens when Sullivan and Kinsley begin to wish their marriage was real? Will they confess their feelings or continue hiding them? How will Sullivan react to Kinsley's surprise? Can a HEA come from a marriage that didn't start from love?
One-click now and follow along as two people enter into an agreement for their own purposes, but quickly realize they both want so much more.
On a purely personal note, I adore this duo and everything they write, but within the first pages I didn't care for Sullivan. It started with his mental thought of not even having time for "a quick eff in months." It seemed so out of character for one of their Heroes and it tainted my connection to him immediately. While he did redeem himself a little by quickly falling for her and not trying to run from it for too long, any progress he made with me was lost when Kinsley went to tell him some news, worried about his reaction, and his immediate response was asking if she cheated on him. Really? No. Just no. This may not be the series for me despite how much I love their work. The next book features Miles, who had recently suffered a bad breakup and will be the next to contact the matchmaker. It seems, at least to me, that he didn't want the relationship to end, and in fact even left the country for months afterward, which means he loved this woman and wanted more than she did. In that case, I won't be able to buy that the heroine isn't second best...unless it ends up being the same woman. We'll see.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
I read book 3 so i wanted to read the others in the series!!
We have Sullivan a workaholic who has no time for dating or anything he its focus in work, add a overbearing mother who wants him to enjoy life and bugs him about settling down so she makes him go to a matchmaker, he does but he talks the matchmaker he wants this as a business deal no love, no babies, just fake being in a relationship and married.. he meets few woman 🤣🤣 they are bad like 2 second bad.. until he meets Kingsley.. she's everything he wants. As for Kingsley she's a sweetheart putting her career on hold due to her brother and his problem.... when she met Sullivan she knew the drill but she started to fall hard and fast for him... a surprise happens that makes them finally come to terms their true feelings.

I enjoyed Bought For Marriage the first book in this new series by Fiona Davenport. I liked the marriage of convince aspect. The Heroine was great and had a good heart. The Hero was an OTT billionaire alpha but was sweet the heroine. Overall, it was an amazing short length insta romance story.
HEA- Angst Level- Low Heat level- Medium Pages- 70-ish
I'm sad to say that I really didn't like this one- it felt a lot different than any other FD books I've read before. I found it kinda boring at times, with very little chemistry between the characters 🤷♀️.
"Bought for Marriage" is the story of Kenzie and Sullivan. Two strangers enter into a marriage of convenience with bedroom rights, only to fall head over heels and boink like horny bunnies in this short and sweet read. I really enjoyed it! Also, an extra star for anal. And another for the sex toys and bred epilogue. Cant wait to read more! Safe 4/5
This is the first book in the Bought by the Billionaire series by Fiona Davenport. I’m so thrilled that Rochelle and Elle are back together writing as Fiona. Whenever I see the name I know it’s an automatic one click for me and I’ve not been disappointed yet. Sullivan Bradford is 32 years old and he’s the Vice President of Bradford Enterprises and Real Estate. He’s much too busy to be dating but his mother is constantly bugging him to settle down and get married. His mom convinces him to see her friend Julia who is the CEO of Luxe Connections. It’s a discreet matchmaking service for the elite and they have a stellar record. Kinsley is working her ass off struggling to help her older brother, Graham who is in constant pain. He has a problem with his spine and the doctors believe an experimental surgery will help him greatly. She on her way to visit Graham in the hospital when she gets a phone call from Julia, who she met at her friend, Sylvia’s wedding. She tells her she’ll call her back later and Julia tells her to make sure it’s that day. When she gets to Graham he tells her bad news, his insurance company refuses to pay for the surgery. Sullivan meets with Julia and agrees to use her services but he has conditions. He wants a sophisticated wife he can take to events, someone who understands how much he works, and he doesn’t want children ... Ever. And he doesn’t want his parents to know it’s not a match made from love. Kinsley meets with Julia and discovers the answers to her prayers. Can she marry a man knowing he’ll never love her or give her children ? For Graham she would do absolutely anything even if she gets her heart broken in the process.
A quick and fun read with plenty of romance! Sullivan needs and wants to get his mother off his back with her endless matchmaking nonsense. He doesn't have time for dating much less having a relationship, he's too busy working and building his empire, working his end of the family business. When good old mom sets him up with an old college friend who runs a very discreet matchmaking service for people "like" him. Applies to both men and women who have no time to court but need a marriage for whatever the reason. He reluctantly agrees to the appointment in hopes that will appease her. Loved his mother's friend. So cool an calm. She meets and talks with him, he's blunt enough about what he wants and what he doesn't want. No kids, no love, no romance. They agree to meet again to go over prospective matches. Kinsley is doing everything she can for her older brother. She quit school to get a job and try and help him out, he's in the hospital again and his insurance has just denied his request for a surgery that will correct his spinal cord issue and allow him to live a normal life. Since their parents were killed, it's just the two of them. When Kinsley gets a call from Julia at the match making business, she puts her off, but after hearing the latest news, she calls her back. Kinsley will do anything to help her brother. If that means entering a marriage of convenience as a trophy wife, she'll do it. But Kinsley has her own rules and requests as well. Sullivan meets the prospects which are not even in his orbit and Julia wisely saves Kinsley for last. Sullivan is all in for her. Even the request for money after signing, which did trouble him but he pushed the thoughts away. He also pressed for a quick marriage, so while she was busy with him, his mother was busy arranging their marriage. The parents were none the wiser. Spending time together, was good for these two. Especially Sullivan who needed to be stretched emotionally and not all business. When he finds out what she wanted the money for he's relieved yet a little put off that she didn't share with him about her brother. They haven't even met. To watch Sullivan change was great and the book had a nice rhythm and flow to it. We get a front row seat to their marriage and how things change. I really liked this little novella and despite the brevity it's a home run in story telling.
*arc from NetGalley and Entangled for an honest review. **
Loved it! Another sweet love story! We have Sullivan a real estate mogul, being hounded by his Mum to marry. Kinsley, needs financial help in a major way for her older brother. Together they meet at a discreet matchmaking company and though at first it seems they aren't going to fall for each other, they do HEA for Sullivan and Kinsley followed by an awesome epilogue! 4 solid stars***
Let me be clear - the ONLY reason I listened to this was for Teddy Hamilton.
His parents want him to marry. She needs money to pay for her sick brother's medical bills. He goes to a matchmaker to find a suitable woman for contract marriage. They fall in love. Surprise pregnancy. HEA.
It can't get more cookie cutter than that. The sex was cute.
Surprisingly sweet, Ms. Davenport wooed me with this sexy short story. Usually Billionaire stories are predictable and eye rolling. I'm charmed by this one. This one is a romance I can easily see as a special on TV. It is heart warming and with a plausible plot.
Sullivan is a busy man and the last thing he needs is to get married. It is on his check list as part of his obligations. With added pressure from his loving mother, he goes with a match maker. He's sure nothing is to come of it but he can say tried.
Sullivan is not a bad guy. He is just sure of what he wants. And that is a wife in name only. No kids, no love, just the decoration to complete his image will suit him fine. I find myself overly amused when a guy sets himself up so ridgid that he will end up falling flat on his face.
Ms. Davenport is gifted in her storytelling. She weaves a sweet romance that grows over time. I enjoyed how this story wasn't an instant love. It was instant lust which I get. She compresses the story yet draws out the timeline so it becomes more believable. She does it in a way that is smooth. It is not easy to cut out time and keep the sensual tension going. It does add a bit of depth and builds this fake marriage into something a bit more.
Kinsley is a lovely woman who is loyal and biddable. She is not a pushover but she is easy to get along with and the perfect wife for Sullivan. She brings out the best in him. Their marriage grows into one of partnership.
There is something to be said for arranged marriages. This marriage and story is a winner. I enjoyed it enough that I want to read the rest in this series. Recommended to contemporary romance readers who love unlike love blooming.
I was instantly attracted to the premise. A workaholic of a man is pressured to find a suitable wife, but he goes about it as a business transaction. Contract, stipulations, and above all, no feelings allowed.
That’s it until he meets the best candidate: a good-hearted, smart beauty, and cannot resist the temptation to claim her body and ring.
I loved how Sullivan goes from business-obsessed to fully besotted with his wife. Imagine a rich man all possessive and alpha male, spending all his energy and time on a woman he desires in and out of bed. Cute!
I also liked the little misunderstanding and issues that made it all so lively. I really enjoy this author’s smutty and sweet style. Hot, domestic bliss to bask in.
This story also seems like the perfect start to a whole series around that matchmaking empire ;-) I do hope so.
Sullivan Bradford is tired of his mother trying to set him up, he is focused on his business and doesn't have time for a woman. When his mother interferes again with a matchmaker he decides to get a wife who knows from the beginning that they are married, no love but they will have a sexual relationship. When he sees Kinsley Taylor he knows she is the one for him but it doesn't take long before feelings for one another develop and will this change their arrangement?
This was great, I wasn't sure if I would like Sullivan but he grows on you as soon as Kinsley enters the picture. Looking for a quick read, this is one to pick up.
This is not a book a normally read but my sister told me about it so I gave it a shot. I believe this a good fast read. We have a workaholic billionaire you has no desire of being in a relationship. He likes his life and loves his job. But he has a overbearing mother who wants him to settle down. She is very persistent about it. To get his mom off his back he trys to meet someone. The first few were hard passes until he met Kinsley.
She is a selfless person who outs everything on hold for her family. There is decent sex scenes.

Nobody’s fucking is immaculate. But this man thinks he can do her good, so good he actually utters the words thrice.
“However, that does mean that she will be required to fulfil her wifely duties in the bedroom”—I couldn’t help the small smirk on my face when I added—“Of course, I have no doubt that she will find the experience satisfying.”
He sounds fucking fill of himself and I hope he is, I hope he’s full of his own cum and I hope he chokes on it, because if this girl actually had a choice she wouldn’t fuck you, and no matter the moans or the sounds she made trust me she didn’t like you.
“While our marriage will not have emotional attachment, it will be real in every physical sense.” I let the lust I was feeling burn in my eyes as I leaned in to speak my next words. “I can promise you’ll be very satisfied in that regard.”She visibly swallowed.
AGAIN WHY? why does he feel the need to bring it up again, and again.
“So fucking smooth,” he growled, making me thankful for the Coochy Cream I’d used when I shaved this morning.”
COOCHY CREAM no.
I can’t take this book seriously anymore.
“This is my reward for working so hard: my wife’s tight pussy wrapped around my cock.”
And what does she get. A sloppy hookup, cause that’s all he is.
The story was cute, but centered around sex. Like they mentioned once they actually talked about something other than fucking each other’s brains out. Like just say that’s all they did, at least you wouldn’t have to spare me a guilty I love you at the end.
I really liked this. It was a quick read and I do wish it was longer but looking forward to the next book.
Billionaire workaholic and sweet girl needing money to pay for her brother's surgery. Sparks fly immediately and they make a deal to marry for mutual convenience. Loved that they didn't hem and haw around and that sex was always on the table.
