Great at explaining theories but I wish there were more clear cut examples. I know no two students are identical but I would have appreciated more concrete examples on changing behavior or confronting students or even inflicting punishments like detentions. But still informative and helpful. I like how it focuses on the positive. I just wish, again, for more clearly cut examples and strategies.

An easy read for PD that doesn't overwhelm the reader with too many complicated studies and big research words. While there was nothing groundbreaking, it's good to have reminders of the importance of relationship-building and being relevant, fair, and consistent.

Read this quickly to help a relatively new teacher in the department. Good reminders, checklists, summaries and graphics. It’s not groundbreaking, sure. It is great if you just want to get helpful tools but are super busy and can’t take anything too complex in. Even if you think you do all these things well, film yourself teaching and watch it - you’ll see there’s plenty to take on board from this book.

Read this for PD hours…not overly impressed. I did not feel like there were very specific things in terms of behavior management to do. Some good general helpful reminders and stats on things…like how long it takes to break habits, work life balance, impacts of positivity. But honestly all of it felt like common sense. 10 hours for it though

I don’t feel like I added anything to my knowledge, was just reminded of some best practices. And honestly, I want to see how this works where I teach.
