Lucian Cheshire has already died once, and it made him all the more terrified of death.Brought back to life by a lazy "guru" insisting on being called "Sensei," Lucian is obligated to pay off his debt to the man by hunting down monsters for him created out of the crystallization of human stresses and anxieties. It doesn't help that these crystallized monsters resemble his own fears. On top of that, Lucian's only weapon isn't even a weapon, but the ability to glow and regenerate injuries at the cost of nearly starving himself.Even more threatening than the monsters is a strange woman with a vendetta against Sensei for playing around with life and death, and who would much rather have Lucian stay dead. And then there's the small matter of her being the embodiment of aversion itself, becoming stronger the more people fear her.Lucian has to find some way out of the vicious cycle of his own psychological troubles, or he might be getting reacquainted with death sooner than he expected.
