Pope Saint Pius X (Ecclesiastical Latin: Pius PP. X), born Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto, was the 257th Pope of the Catholic Church, serving from 1903 to 1914. He was the first pope since Pope Pius V to be canonized. Pius X rejected modernist interpretations of Catholic doctrine, promoting traditional devotional practices and orthodox theology. His most important reform was to publish the first Code of Canon Law, which collected the laws of the Church into one volume for the first time. Frequent communion was a lasting innovation of his papacy.

No es una lectura fácil, pero sí una que me gustó mucho. Me ayudó a entender mejor qué es el modernismo y por qué la Iglesia lo vio como algo tan peligroso para la fe.

Lo que más me gustó fue darme cuenta de que muchas ideas que hoy escuchamos como si fueran nuevas, Pío X ya las había señalado hace más de 100 años.

Creo que es una lectura que vale mucho la pena si quieres entender mejor la fe católica y sobre todo, recordar que nuestra fe no puede construirse solo en lo que sentimos o pensamos, sino en la verdad que Cristo nos dejó.

Tienes que leer con calma y volver a algunas partes más de una vez.
