Book Near Fine. 8vo - 21.5 x 14 cm.; [10] - 301 pp. A translation of a part of the spiritual diary of Concepción Cabrera de Armida (María Concepción Cabrera Arias de Armida), a Mexican mystic who was born in 1862 and died in 1937. She was familiarily known as Conchita. Not your ordinary mystic though if there is such a person, she was also the mother of 9 children and her husband died two years after the ninth child was born leaving her to raise them all during the time of the Mexican Civil War. The translation is by an anonymous monk of St. Andrew Abbey of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally published in Spanish by Ediciones Cimiento of Mexico City in 1929
