What happens in an alien sex club stays in an alien sex club, right?
Well... not if you pen an exposé on the place. And certainly not if you omit the fact that the experiences in the article are your own.
Or if the Krinar you’ve hooked up with is the club's owner, whose many kinks involve blackmail and mind games.
For a young journalist out to prove herself, it's all about landing the next big story.
Until it becomes all about landing in a possessive alien's penthouse bed.
NOTE: This full-length novel combines two previously published works—The X-Club, a short story by Anna Zaires, and Vair the sequel written by Hettie Ivers. It also contains an all-new, expanded ending and an epilogue featuring Mia & Korum.
Anna Zaires fell in love with books at the age of five, when her grandmother taught her to read. She wrote her first story shortly thereafter. Since then, she has always lived partially in a fantasy world where the only limits were those of her imagination. Currently residing in Florida, Anna is happily married to Dima Zales (a science fiction and fantasy author) and closely collaborates with him on all their works.
After graduating from the University of Chicago with a degree in Economics, Anna spent eight years on Wall Street analyzing stocks and writing research reports. In 2013, she became a full-time author, pursuing her lifelong dream of writing romance novels.
Dima Zales is the love of her life and a huge inspiration in all aspects of her writing. Every book Anna writes is a product of their unique collaborative process.
In addition to reading and writing, Anna enjoys drinking tea (coconut oolong, anyone?), watching addictive TV shows, and discussing book ideas during long walks with her amazing husband.
She loves hearing from her readers, so please don't hesitate to contact her through her website or connect with her on Facebook, where she hangs out way too often. Also, please visit her husband and collaborator, Dima Zales, at www.dimazales.com and check out their fantasy & science fiction books.
“You didn’t call, Amy.” It was as if all the air had suddenly been sucked out of the limo. “You never came back to my club.”
If you have read the X-Club by Anna Zaires and Vair by Hettie Ivers, I think you are pretty much covered and you don't need this book. You can check my review of these two books:
This edition also includes an extended epilogue, which was not included in the previous mentioned books.
If you haven't read the above mentioning books, but you enjoyed the story of Mia and Korum; you will LOVE Amy and Vair's story.
If you haven't read or heard of Krinars, but you love sci-fi romance/erotica; this book is a good starting point.
If you don't normally read sci-fi erotica, but you love erotica and over the top possessive males; why don't you read about stalkerish possessive aliens? Maybe you enjoy sci-fi and you don’t know it yet.
“You read my personal emails?” “Of course, darling.” Not a trace of contrition. “I am not your darling. And my family’s behavior is none of your business.” How dare he judge my mom? His smile slipped, his military-poster jaw tightening sternly. “I beg to differ. Everything about you is my business. Everyone who affects you is my business.” My stomach took another dive. He was one hundred percent serious.
I dnf this book, not because there was anything wrong it with but it’s just not my cup of tea. My fault for just seeing the name Anna Zaires ( I adore her) and not really reading that it was about a sex club!
Dear Anna Zaires, You are one of the rare authors who I go to blindly. You write the prefect books, perfect hero and perfect setup. Please don’t write books on sex club and all. PLEASE. Already there are thousands of crap out there in the market with such sh*ts.
23rd Jan 2019 Why am I reading this? Sex Club is something I don’t read but... This is an Anna Zaire’s book and I can’t pass it... Let’s see..
After reading the book
Amy with her friend goes undercover to an alien sex club to expose it. She meets the club owner Vair. He seduces her and they have mindblowing sex. And the next we see she wakes up in her apartment. She has no idea how she came back. She then proceeds to write the article exposing the sex club. She expects that her article will be pulled by the krinars or that they will harass her but one month goes by and nothing such happens. Her article is a success.
But after one month, Vair, who was actually being patient with her, waiting for her, blackmails her into coming to the club or else he threatens to expose the videos of them having sex. Amy is obviously reluctant. But eventually she agrees.
There encounters in the beginning felt like he was forcing her into sex by some kind of drug. Even though she was reluctant he seduces her and keeps doing that. Sorry but I’m putting this under “force by hero” shelf. Because I think she was drug induced or under some kind of krinar manipulation while having sex with him.
About the sex club thing. Well. All was good and bearable at least until almost halfway through the book there was nothing discomforting about the sex clubs.
But anyways, Vair never shares her with anyone and and has no intention of doing so. He is very possessive of her. Super obsessed about her. I loved it.
Honestly I enjoyed this book. It’s very hot and erotic. Anna Zaire is an amazing author. She even made a book about sex club worth reading. Glad that I gave this book a chance. If you can ignore the sex club bit then maybe you might like this book if you already are a fan of this author’s books.
Amy is a journalist who has only been given fluff pieces to write. She is determined to make her boss take her more seriously and what better way than to expose the Krinar's sex clubs. What she didn't expect to happen was to catch the eye of the Krinar who owns the club.
Another great addition to The Krinar Chronicles. I've enjoyed all the books in the series I have read so far. That includes the Kindle Worlds books as well. What's not to love? Hot, model like heroes who are extremely powerful and mate for life. They are extremely possessive of their women even when those women want nothing to do with them. I've enjoyed the unique take on the alien aspect of this series and look forward to more.
Nipples. We all have them. Some have even more than two. Freaky, I know. What we don’t have, however, are nipples like Amy’s. Amy’s nipples are like two mini penises that harden at the slightest sign of arousal:
“My nipples hardened, and liquid heat began to gather between my thighs.”
“My nipples pebbled within the confines of my bra, and I could feel warm moisture dampening my underwear.”
“My nipples hardened.”
“His weight settled between my legs. My nipples instantly tightened”
“I sagged into him, my nipples painfully erect and yearning for friction where the cool air was hitting them.”
““Did you miss me?” My nipples responded before I found the voice to do so. My inner muscles followed suit.”
I’m not saying nipples don’t harden at arousal, because they sorta kinda do in theory… But this is just too much. I’ve never personally been aroused (by thoughts only), and then noticed my nipples hardening. They harden when a) it’s cold b) from physical stimuli c) whenever they randomly feel like it.
This book is trash...
And it’s not like I don’t mind reading some trashy novels. I love me some smut, if you know what I mean. It’s just that this book doesn’t have: a) great sex scenes or b) an okay plot.
I guess, you can think of erotica (or novels relying heavily on erotic elements) in one of two ways:
1. Either the writer focuses on the sex and/or elements directly surrounding sexy times, and the plot itself should not negatively interfere with the reader’s enjoyment of said sexy times. But the plot is not alpha-omega as long as it doesn’t ruin the reading experience. Sex scenes > Plot
2. The second way of written erotica follows more traditional novel would focus more on a believable plot line and some good ol’ fashioned character development. Sexy times are definitely present and detailed, though. The great thing about focusing on the plot and characters is that the sex scenes become more important to the readers, as we are now invested in the characters and so one and so forth. Plot > Sex scenes
The Krinar Exposé has neither great sex scenes, and the characters and plot are so meh, I can’t even. I’ve never read anything from Hettie Ivers before, soooo… I don’t know if this is her usual MO. I have, however, read quite a few of Anna Zaires’ books. (And this is her universe, after all, but she has allowed other authors to publish their fanfictions on Amazon or something. Don’t ask me.) And she can do better than this. Like… come on? When it comes to her previous works, I’ve liked some of them quite a bit, but I’ve also felt like her characters have been kind of irrational, and the sex scenes were never my favourite… but still okay.
But let’s talk about the exposé and the krinar in The Krinar Exposé. Amy is the human in this equation, 24 years of age, five-foot-five (165 cm), strawberry blonde and “doll-like”. And she has curved hips and a round ass. Her words, not mine. She is also a journalist. A precarious vocational choice in this day and age, but oh well. She’s fed up with the humdrum of writing yet another article about puppies (how dare she?) and wants to move up to the big leagues… by writing an article about the Krinar – aka Ks, aka the mystical alien species that has invaded planet Earth. Quite a jump, I know. So, she’s willing to risk it all by visiting one of the notorious alien sex clubs in the Meatpacking District in NYC with her queer friend and co-worker Jay, who may or may not be a walking stereotype on legs. The novel starts off well enough. Promising even. But it’s all down-hill from here on out, so fasten your seatbelt.
I didn’t completely finish the book, because I’m not a glutton for mental torment – like Amy here. But I was well over the half-way point, so there was no longer enough ink left for the book to redeem itself. We don’t learn much about Vair, who’s a Krinar. He owns a sex club. He’s into kinky sex (surprise, surprise)… Uuuh, I’m trying to remember any other details. The writer says he’s well over six feet tall and that’s sooo tall and special and alienesque… but that’s still a normal height for a human male. Or does the writers mean that they’re closer to seven feet tall? Be specific. I want to know how often their heads bump into human door frames or if they would have any difficulties fitting into a MINI Cooper. I need to know.
Amy doesn’t know this yet, but the Krinar is a species so technologically advanced, that there is no way for a human to fight them. Complete power exchange in, but also outside of the bedroom. But that doesn’t mean that we, the reader, doesn’t want to see her try. Fighting, resisting, running away. Anything. Maybe a complete mental breakdown? Something. Please.
Here we’ll move into some spoiler territory (oh my). I’ll address some of the books more problematic issues, like Vair’s predatory behaviour:
Insta-lust is a common occurence in erotic romance books and especially in Anna Zaires’. Having your body act against your will – or perhaps revealing your true desires – can be an interesting tool. In Zaire’s works, though, this so overly exaggerated that it’s almost comical. “The K wasn’t just looking at me; he was devouring me with his eyes—and my body was reacting to his stare as if to a physical touch. My nipples hardened, and liquid heat began to gather between my thighs.” Yawn. Maybe if Amy had been more alarmed by her body’s response, it could have been more interesting. But honestly, it’s only used to justify Vair’s rape-y behaviour and lack of charisma.
All in all, The Krinar Exposé is a boring novel that had some potential. Just because it’s short, doesn’t mean it can’t have a fully worked out plot and some three-dimensional characters. There have been countless books featuring sex clubs, and I'm sure some of them have done a better job. I’m still looking forward to seeing what Zaires writes next, however. I know she can do better than this, but I had also hoped she would have improved more as a writer since publishing Twist Me back in 2014. I hope she starts a whole new series or trilogy. 3.5 Buonasera, lettrici!
A presto.
4.5 - Voto .
. LaMin - per RFS
So what do you get when Ms Zaires and Ms Ivers come together to compose a hawt alien romance?
You get hawt alien smexy magic!
I love The Krinar Exposé! The story is appealing - something about a sexy club scene setting that gets my heart pounding - the writing is fluid and on point, and the chemistry between Vair and Amy is spectacular within these pages!
Vair owns the hot alien sex club referred to as X-Club, in NY’s meatpacking district. Amy is a small time reporter looking to make a name for herself by writing an exposé on the newly infamous K sex club. While undercover Amy is spotted and stalked by the owner, Vair, who turns her world upside down and has her questioning everything about the new alien immigrants. And more importantly Amy wants to know what Vair really wants from Amy.
But that’s pretty obvious! 😏
This beautifully packaged full length novel brings together Ms. Zaires’ X-Club and Ms. Ivers’ Vair: Beyond the X-Club to enjoy in one beautifully bound book.
If you love the Krinar World this is a must read. If the Krinar World is new, this book is can be read as a stand-alone without spoiling any of the other Krinar books.
I was first told about Anna Zaires, Krinar books by my daughter with Mia & Korum, The Krinar Chronicles. I enjoyed each story I have read. The characters are well written. Vair and Amy their story is now another story that I will enjoy reading over again along with The Krinar Chronicles. Vair is a Krinar, Human Behaviorist and the best way to study the behavior of Humans is in a secretive X-Club. It's also where he met Amy and Jay. Amy has decided that she is tired of the fluff stories that her editor has been giving to her for 3-years of working for him. So she has decided to research the X-Clubs or xeno-clubs, that so many people have been talking on the internet, Youtube videos and she has decided to go to one and observe, maybe even interview some of the humans and Ks. Vair has been observing the groups of humans and Ks, dancing and in groups around the walls of the area and then goes to open the door for some people, Amy and Jay. He takes them through another wall into the bar and dancing area. They are in the x-club.
I absolutely loved The Krinar Exposé. It was sexy and delicious and filled with the decadent darkness that Anna Zaires story are known for. I absolutely love this story and was enthralled and consumed.
Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love the Krinar world so when I saw that Anna Zaires and Hettie Ivers were teaming up to write this amazing goodness I could not jump aboard fast enough. I loved Zair and how delicious he was. Once he saw Amy Myers he was hooked on having her and keeping her despite her need to write an expose on the alien sex club he ran. Their chemistry was fiery and I was hooked from the get go! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula
Krinar Expose was definitely one of the hottest read of this year! What a fabulous story! I’m a loyal fan of Anna’s writing and especially her Krinar World, who could resist that magical universe full of possessive, extremely intelligent and impossible male characters?! Right, nobody! Her collaboration with Hettie Ivers left me speechless. This story is brilliantly plotted and written, I equally loved both leading characters, which happens quite rarely in my reading experience. Highly Recommended!
This book would have been much better if we were privy to both sides at the first encounter. We would have been aware of Vair and his feelings towards Amy and formed some sort of connection. Since we were not, this straight up reads like a stalker forced alien romance 🤷🏻♀️
I have just experienced a Krinar-reading orgasm! And I’m still shivering from it!
The Krinar world is one of my TOP 3 favourite romance fantasy worlds. The ultra-possessive alphas, the superior technology, the progressive view of justice and resource utilization, the HOT SULTRY SEX ... I could stay immersed in the Krinar fantasy forever!
The Krinar Exposé blends and perfects all the elements I love into a tightly composed story that also ties together the “original” Krinar stories.
Vair is a sexy Krinar X-Club owner who is blessed with all the impenetrable confidence and laser-focussed determination that epitomizes my ideal Krinar hero. In typical Anna Zaires fashion, he has a soft considerate side that is reserved for his one and only. Amy Myers is a smart and aspiring journalist who is curious about the alien arrivals and hopes that her exposé will finally get her taken seriously at her job. In typical Hettie Ivers fashion, Amy’s POV narrative is full of neurotic humour, fun, and intensity.
What made me shiver at the end? Well, you MUST read it for yourself. But here’s a hint: I love how Emily and Zaron (The Krinar Captive) and Mia and Korum (Close Liaisons, etc) are referenced in the Epilogue. I’m such a literary nerd at heart!
ARC received, unnecessarily. This was destined to be an very biased review, since I loved the previously published Part 1 (The X-Club) and Part 2 (Vair: Beyond the X-Club) and I couldn’t have dreamed of not loving this book.
This was a great book. I’ve come to realise I only enjoy female POV books without the insight into the H head because I feel that creates an element of mystery and intrigue to his character. I’m finding it harder to find single POV books these days. Thankfully this was such a book and I enjoyed it immensely. The H was possessive and crazy about the h from the start. The sex club setting didn’t really factor into the story except for one scene . They might as well have been at a regular club.
What starts out as a night of otherworldly passion turns into more
The Krinar Exposé combines two stories that have been published previously; The X-Club by Anna Zaires, a short story (or novelette) set in Zaires’ Krinar World, and Vair: Beyond the X-Club by Hettie Ivers, a continuation and expansion of Zaire's story.
I have to confess that I am a big fan of Anna Zaires and her Krinar books. But inn general I don’t like spinoffs or sequels written by other authors, because in the majority of (if not all) cases they are invariably disappointing. One of the most important things that attracts me to an author’s writing is voice. Voice is a concept that isn’t easy to define, but for me it is the distinctive style in which a writer deploys language to create a world before our inner eyes, the way they enhance their characters with personality, and how they imbue everything with a certain mood. With all the discussion about ghostwriters and famous authors not really writing their own books (anymore) there is some controversy about whether voice can imitated. I have to admit that I belong to the faction that believes that voice is very hard, if not impossible, to imitate. I also think that I am able to recognize the voice of my favorite authors and would notice if they weren’t writing their books themselves.
That being said, I really loved The X-Club but was dissatisfied with the brevity and very open ending of the story. Amy Myers is an aspiring journalist and she is tired of getting all the fluff assignments. So she decides to find and visit one of the infamous x-clubs, where humans go to have sex with the otherwordly Krinar. It is said that such encounters are addictive. Amy only wants to go there to observe, but she ends up spending a night of night numbing passion with the club’s owner, Vair. The next morning she wakes up in her bed alone, with her recollection somewhat fuzzy on what exactly took place (beyond the pleasure) and how she ended up at home. The end.
And that’s where Hettie Ivers Vair: Beyond the X-Club picks up again. Amy writes her disclosure story but makes it appear like she interviewed sources to get the information. She fears reprisals by the Krinar Council but for several weeks nothing happens. And then all of a sudden she is shown film material on her computer of her night with Vair. She assumes she is being blackmailed to retract her story, so she decides to go back to the club to confront Vair, but things are not what they seem at all.
Initially I was a bit irritated by the change from third person narrative to first person narrative, but I soon got reconciled to it since it seemed to me that Ivers nailed Amy’s inner thoughts pretty well. I also liked how smoothly she managed to interweave background details of the Krinar world and the way she expanded on Amy’s relationship with Jay and how she fleshed out Amy’s family. And last, but not least, I loved how she brought Amy and Vair back together; the sex between these two is really hot and spectacular. Not quite sure about the guinea pig angle, though you should read it yourself to find out more. If you love Anna Zaires’ Krinar World as much as I do, you won’t be disappointed by Amy and Vairs story. So go grab it!
My Dream Team of Authors Got Together and Wrote a Lovechild of a Book.
This book combines two favorites of mine. The X-Club, By Anna Zaires and Vair: Beyond the X-Club by Hettie Ivers. This is a perfect combination because where Anna leaves you wanting more, Hettie picks up and delivers the goods with what we need, closure.
If you love strong, sexy as fuck Alphas, then you'll love anything that Hettie writes, but furthermore you'll appreciate the gift that is Vair. A delicious gift that Anna painstakingly hand-wraps and delivers, while Hettie rips into the wrapping with such enthusiasm present in her writing, it's indecent.
DO NOT begin reading unless you're prepared to change your panties regularly, have your significant other on hand, and/or favorite toy of choice close by. Neither of these authors just write sex scenes, they pulls you into the experience, leaving you wondering if you're having an orgasm of your own as you're reading, which, if you took my advice a sentence ago, could very well be the case.
Where Anna selfishly left us wanting more, Hettie picks up and delivers a sizzling exposition of not one, but two relationships exploring sexual freedom and intimacy with hot Aliens. Amy's career has taken off and is in full on denial mode regarding her electrifying experience with Vair, something he plans on remedying the moment he waltzes back into her life. Who knew blackmail could be so sexy? Her strong will, fuels her need to fight the claim of ownership that Vair desires to make, leaving the reader to be conflicted regarding who to root for, I found myself switching teams multiple times throughout this story.
Jay, my favorite, non man-bun wearing, bisexual, supporting character, goes from trying to smuggle Amy out of the city, to playing doctor with nurse Shalee, a hot female alien. This was something I was excited to see an author explore. Don't get me wrong, I will always love me some hot male alpha energy, but give me an author whose willing to explore the trope less traveled and I'd be willing to read any other works the author has. I hope this isn't the end for Jay and Shalee, rather I would love to read a continuation of their relationship in later works. *hint hint*
Anna has added to this work with an ending that leaves you both relieved and wanting more. She even includes cameos of a few other characters from her Krinar universe, and since both authors cause you to become emotionally and sexually invested in any character they write, I highly recommend calling in sick while reading this one.
A young reporter hungry for a story of substance, a sexy virile alien hungry for her. What happens when their two worlds and bodies collide at the hottest underground sex club in NY? Anna Zaires and Hettie Ivers gives us the naughty answers in the latest story in the Krinar Chronicles - The Krinar Expose.
When young ambitious reporter Amy decides to visit an underground Krinar sex club in search of a headline worthy expose, she unwittingly finds herself creating her own sexy love story by capturing the interest of the club's owner Vair . With his Krinar good looks and predatory grace, Vair pursues the "little human" across the club's dance floor and straight into his bed where they share a scorching night that neither of them soon forgets. Vair totally captivated by Amy and the incredible night they shared, intends to make sure he and his sexy "little human" continue their sizzling story no matter how much she tries to deny their connection. In spite of her weak protestations to the contrary, Amy knows the depth of their connection and Vair's allure is other worldly. But is Vair really interested in her or does he have a hidden agenda?
Anna and Hettie's book is filled with page after page of tantalizing scenes, interesting characters and a descriptive futuristic earth that made me wish for my own personal Krinar invasion. The off the charts sexual chemistry between Amy and Vair is palpable and panty melting. This book like the other works in the Krinar Chronicles gives us another enviable look at how truly wonderful it would be to be a Krinar "charl". It also give us another gorgeous, possessive alien book boyfriend to dream naughty thoughts about. - sorry human men, better luck next evolution!
This book can be read as a stand alone from the other Krinar stories or in addition to them. If you do choose to read the other ones, Mia and Korum's trilogy is a great place to start and the beginning of the Krinar journey.
Great Team effort with Anna Zaires and Hettie Ivers in the amazing Krinar world. I originally fell in love with Mia and Korum through Anna's Close Liaisons book. I was so glad we got a short update piece at the end of the book with Mia and Korum.
This is the story of Amy, a journalist looking to write a story on the X-Club of Krinar's. She’s heard all sorts of things about these sex clubs and thinks her story could make her a serious journalist. When Amy & her best friend Jay find one of these secret clubs to go undercover to investigate, they find a whole new world! Amy meets Vair, the club owner, a sexy alien. She thinks she’s good at keeping her job undercover, but the K’s have their way of knowing things. Vair falls for his little human and Amy reluctantly feels the same way. This is a funny story that is a standalone. The chemistry & sex is off the charts and the authors do a great job in wrapping this story up. If you're worried about needing to follow a book order, you do not as most of the Krinar series spinoffs are their own stories and end at the end of the book.
I received a complimentary ARC of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.
I have loved the Krinar stories by Anna Zaires from the first story of Mia and Korum and have subsequently read every book written in this world. This book encompasses the stories of The X-Club and Vair with an additional bonus epilogue. This is Amy’s story that gives the reader a look into how she came to be with Vair. Amy is a journalist who penned a story that by all accounts should have landed her in some hot water as it exposed what went on in the X-clubs. Vair is the epitome of an alpha male with the added attraction of being an alien with certain extra gifts. The two together are a force to be reckoned with and the steamy scenes are off the charts! This is one hot read that you want to add to your reading list as Ms. Zaires and Ms. Ivers are both extremely adept at creating a world where any human would want to fall for their own K. I look forward to reading more from these authors. I volunteered to read an arc for a review.
The Krinar Expose is a combination of the previously published short story The X-Club by Anna Zaires, the Krinar Worlds sequel Vair by Hettie Ivers. It has some new chapters and an epilogue added to the end. Vair was my favorite Krinar Worlds story but it has been awhile since I read it so it was a pleasure to re-read this story. Part of the reason it was my favorite was how much I loved the hero, Vair, who might be tied with original Krinar hero, Korum, for my favorite K. He is possessive and sexy and takes care of Amy in just the way she needs, even though she doesn't realize it at first. And of course, the amped up, hot sex this couple has is a giant plus (don't tell my mom! haha). The extra chapters were sweet and funny, and Mia & Korum make a brief appearance as well. If you haven't read their books, the original stories by Anna Zaires, I think it enhances enjoyment of any of the spin-off stories (like this one), if you have first. 4.5 Stars
I love the Krinar books. What made this even better was this one was brilliantly done by two of my favorite authors. Anna and Hettie did a great job coming together as authors. Sometimes when you read a book by two different people it feels mismatched or the connection is just not there. Definitely not the case in this book.
Vair... gotta love him. Amy sure did get lucky when she picked his club to go too. I love how he was an alpha male but still let Amy explore her desires. The connection of the characters was felt from their first meeting. For me this book wasn’t a wait and see if I like them together. Nope it was “WOW”, they need to be together now!!! I also found I really liked Amy’s bestie Jay. He was funny and at times careless but always devoted to his friendship. I think I could easily hang out with him and have a blast.
Over all. I loved this book. Great job to both Authors and I hope to see them work together again. 💜💜💜
What a fabulous treat....great writing, great characters, great plot....and a great addition to the Krinar world..
I love the main characters: Vair, is a possessive, persuasive and irresistible sexy alien club owner, and Amy is an aspiring investigative journalist...although they come from two different worlds, quite literally, their attraction is instantaneous and their chemistry sizzling...but it’s no secret that in this series the course of intergalactic coupling is rarely if ever smooth, and Amy and Vair’s relationship is no exception....
Compelling storytelling with its fair share of drama and angst offset by plenty of steam and humor ... an out of this world 5 star read..... I received an advanced copy of this book from the authors.
This is the story of Vair... and Amy too... Vair is an exceedingly confident, verbally explicit audacious alien male who falls for a mere lovable human female. Vair’s verbal foreplay is a full on masterpiece of luscious seduction & explicit sexual promise that had my entire body in sensory overload & the anticipation of what was coming next was intoxicating. Rereading entire passages was a given. Vair’s seduction of Amy was bold, dauntless & resolute! If we’re going to have alien contact, this is the only kinda contact we’re going to need! Hettie Ivers & Anna Zaires have seamlessly created a sensual exploration of an alien invasion... in the most salacious manner! The Krinar Exposé is a definite must read!
I love some sci-fi with my romance, so this is my cup of tea! You do not need to read Anna Zaires’ Krinar Chronicles Trilogy (or any other Krinar books for that matter), but it is so good that you should & it would help you understand the Krinar world. I was pulled in right away with this book, & I did not want to put it down. Vair & Amy were hot together! We know why Amy couldn’t accept their relationship or her feelings at first, but some of her inner monologues began to annoy me. I wish we could have gotten to know Vair better, but I do love an alpha, possessive alien! Those 2 reasons are why I gave this 4 stars. If you like a quick, hot, sci-fi read like I do, then read this book!
"Arc provided generously by the author in exchange for an honest review" First of all had already read the X-club when I was obsessed with Anna Zaires ( I still am). Back to the book the writing was fantastic and the sex was "Oh my God" It is the continuation of the X-Club and about a small scale journalist Amy and her hot otherworldly one night stand Vair. I find the characters amusing and hot especially Tauce. I can't wait to read about him more in the next books. All in all you are going to love Vair especially his name calling . And Amy's parents were hilarious.a well written plot from 2 of my favourite authors.
This is a very hot and steamy alien/human romance. As a point of reference this used to be offered as two separate, but connected short stories. Now it is being offered as a single book with new content added. Amy is a sassy and spunky reporter looking for a big break story and let's just say that she gets so much more than she went looking for. Vair is intense, hot and very alpha. The scenes between these two scorch the pages and will leave you sweating. I loved this exciting and enjoyable romance. This is my frank, voluntary review.
