Here is a Top 10 list from Ann about her likes, dislikes, and oddities:
1. I despise whipped cream. There, I admitted it in writing. Let the ridiculing begin. 2. Even though I have lived as far south as Key Largo, Florida and as far north as Maine, I landed in the middle. 3. If I don't make a conscious effort not to, I will drink nothing but tea morning, noon and night. Hot tea, sweet tea, green tea––I love it all. 4. There doesn't seem to be much in life that is better than coming home to a couple of big dogs who are overjoyed to see me. My other family members usually show significantly less enthusiasm about my return. 5. Singing in my bestest, loudest voice does not make my family put on their happy faces. This includes the big, loving dogs referenced above. 6. Yes, I am aware that bestest is not a word. 7. Dorothy was right. There's no place like home. 8. All of the numerous bottles in my shower must be lined up with their labels facing out. It makes me feel a little like Julia Roberts' mean husband from the movie 'Sleeping with the Enemy,' but I can't seem to control this particular quirk. 9. I love, love, love finding a great bargain. 10. Did I mention that I hate whipped cream? It makes my stomach churn to look at it, touch it, smell it, or even think about it. Great––now I'm thinking about it. Ick!

An excellent read without a bedroom scene....rare!! Authors take notice...writing an excellent book without half of it taking place in the bedroom is entirely possible. It has all the human interest elements with an adorable canine added into the mix.
This is a witty, funny, sweet love story centered around a lovable golden retriever puppy! Grace has been raising her daughter on her own, with the help of her friend/neighbor. Clover decides that their family needs a puppy, can Grace can't help but cave. Grace immediately falls in love, especially when the puppy "protects" her from a spider! An outing to the park draws the attention of the local morning show's producer, who decides the puppy is just what the show needs. The prima-dona host, Dash Diamond, wants nothing to do with a dog for a co-host, and nothing to do with the owners. They are all put to the test when Dash is commanded to move in with Grace in order to bond to the puppy. Their time together is not what either expected, but as their walls come down will they let their glimmer of a relationship grow? Read to find out!!!
“Guarding Grace” is a feel good book filled with enchanting characters, over the top situations and many laugh out loud moments. Adding an adorable Golden Retriever puppy to the mix makes this a win-win tale. Ms. Omasta is the Queen Bee of the outrageous, especially when it comes to naming her characters. Dash Diamond for example, really! If you think that's quirky, just wait until you find out his given name. If I had to describe this novella in one word it would be DELIGHTFUL! I'm going to let the “Star” of the show rate this book....What do you say sweet puppy? Arf, Arf, Arf, Arf, Arf! I agree, 5 Paws it is!

Such an incredibly sweet and enjoyable read! Ann Omasta writes such convincing characters. The mother-daughter relationship between Grace and Clover is precious as is Grace’s friendship with her landlord and dearest friend, Marlene. Grace is a single mother trying to keep her head above water as you might imagine after her family has turned their back on her when the love of her life, Clover, wants a puppy as kids are want to do. Grace reluctantly agrees and falls madly in love with their adorable Golden Retriever who manages to upend their life in ways unimaginable particularly after meeting the egotistical, celebrity Dash in the park. The book had me rolling with laughter at so many points while all the while rooting for Grace and Star! Such a wonderful romance! -- I received an advance complimentary copy of this book and am delighted to offer this review.
I'm usually not a big fan of books revolving around animals but since I enjoyed every other book I've read from Ann before, I gave it a try. It was a lovely romance story inflicted by dog Star. Grace and her daughter Clover adopt a puppy, not knowing that she'll become a TV star or how their lives are going to change. While host Dash Diamond hates Star at first, the audience loves her and Dash gets forced by his employers to live with Grace, Clover and Star for a week to bond with the dog. If he refuses to do so, they promised to search for a new host. You'll be surprised at how Dash living in a small place turns out and what other surprises the book holds.
I've received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This the second book I have read in the Gold Coast Retrievers series and really enjoyed it. Grace is a single mom raising Clover when they decide to add a Golden Retriever puppy to the family. They three are soon inseparable when a morning show producer what's Star to become part of the show. The puppy's new co-host Dash Diamond is less than thrilled with the new arrangement. In order to keep his job he needs to get along with Star he comes to stay with Grace and Clover. Will Dash show a softer side of himself and worm his way into Grace heart or he let his dislike of Star cost him more than job.
Guarding Grace by Ann Omasta is a delightful, clean romantic novel about Grace Wilson, Dash Diamond and an adorable little puppy named Star. Dash is a television personality and he is not happy about having Star as his co-host on his morning TV show however he delighted with Star's owner Grace. This a really cute story with a bit of intrigue thrown in to keep it interesting. If you love cute dogs and sweet romances you are going to love this book.
I received this book from the author and I am freely posting this fair and balanced review.
Guarding Grace is the third book in the Gold Coast Retrievers series and is sweet funny story. Grace is a single mother who has an adorable daughter Clover who wants a puppy. They get a rambunctious golden retriever puppy that they name Star. Star becomes a co-host on the local morning talk with a puppy hating host Dash. The antics that happens between them on the show is hilarious. You will enjoy reading this book it is romantic, funny and heartwarming. I highly recommend reading it. I received a free copy of this book and have voluntarily choose to review it.
Guarding Grace (Gold Coast Retrievers Book 3) by Ann Omasta
Guarding Grace has cute written all over it. An adorable, yet mischievous puppy. A sweetheart of a little girl and a heartwarming romance. Omasta puts it all on the table with an adventurous look at love's staying power. With a name like Star it's only fitting that this scene stealing puppy is the star of the show. One mother's act of love creates the adventure of a lifetime for two lonely hearts searching for their happy ending. A love letter for the heart.
I love this book. Grace, the lead female is a strong, loving, wonderful single mother. Dash, the lead male, on the other hand has a lot of self-realization to process. Then add Star, the golden retriever, and Clover, the little girl, which makes it an awesome story. Add the engrossing twists and turns of the plot and you have a book you have to read.
I liked it because the characters and the story were new, not a rehash of anything I have read before.
Another great read by Ms. Omasta! This book features Star, a golden retriever, as the cohost with Dash on a morning tv show. Star belongs to Grace, a single mother, and Clover. The ups and downs, along with twists and turns in the plot will definitely hold your attention. Great characters, original characters, and terrific story make this a must read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I absolutely LOVE stories with animals in them. This one is about a single mom, a sweet and adorable little girl and a cute little retriever puppy who is full of surprises and naughtiness! Enter Stage Left - Dash Diamonds, a local tv show host and wooo what an adventure there is to be had! This story was adorable and I had so much fun reading about all of their shenanigans.
I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review.
This is an adorable and wonderful story about Grace and Clover who adopt a Golden Retriever named Star. Star becomes a local TV host and this leads to chaos, and love. I loved hating Dash Diamond, until I got to know the man under the ego. It was hard not to fall in love with Star and all her antics.
A Delightful Story Can one adorable little puppy be the glue that will meld a three-some together to make a happy family. This cute romantic suspense story has a lot of very humorous moments and will keep you glued to the story to find out what happens next. This is a voluntary and well-deserved review of a review copy received from the author.
An utterly delightful book that through a simple story conveys the idea that appearances aren't always what they seem to be. This is a book that can be truly said o make you laugh and shed a tear or two and leave you with a feeling that life is just all right.
The story had heart, humor and sweet moments. It made me think of a Hallmark movie. Single mother Grace's life change when they adopt a puppy. The characters were very enduring and touched your heart. Great addition to this series. I can't wait to read the next one.
A sweet, heartwarming story with the Star of the show being the most adorable, faithful and lovable dog that brings together a single mother and co-host with Star. Loved this book!!
This is the third book in the rescue dogs series, each book is written by a different author, but all have rescue dogs as a character. I have enjoyed all three books! Quick and enjoyable reads !
Awesome fun read! New author for me but I loved the storyline although this was 3rd book in series I haven't read the first two books and it definitely is a book that can be read as a stand alone book.
When single mother Grace first meets talk show host Dash, he acts like a total diva. On air, he is charismatic. IRL he is pompous, arrogant and very full of himself. I just didn’t understand Grace’s attraction to him! But maybe he has another side to him? One that’s more relaxed and fun? One can always hope :)
In a seemingly effortless way I was pulled into the story, becuted by a little girl and a rambunctious puppy. I loved it! But the fact that I loved it doesn’t make me blind to some small issues. I would have liked to have Dash’s POV sooner than the epilogue. It would have made him less cardboard, more real, more relatable. I would have been able to understand Grace’s attraction to him better. I could have felt it more. Now, the turn-around was too unexpected, too fast, too ‘180 degrees’. The romance part of the book could have gotten more attention; it was slow to develop and the romantic moments were sparse. The suspense part of the book wasn’t all that suspenseful and resolved fairly quickly. But, as I said: I loved this super sweet and super cute story! It was warm and inviting! The pages kept turning themselves, so I definitely recommend this to anyone who loves sweet romance with lots of attention for a golden retriever.
This book is part of a series, but it stands on its own perfectly fine.
I received a complimentary copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I received no remuneration for it.
Pairing an adorable little girl with a cute puppy is the perfect recipe. Between Star (the puppy) and Clover (adorable little girl) almost steal the show from our main couple, but Ann Omasta somehow manages to rein in the cuteness and show us an amazing love story with a very unexpected couple.
When the local TV show’s host, Dash Diamond, is forced to share the stage with the cute Star, he isn’t too happy. But his career depends on finding a way to work with the dog - so he buckles down and moves in with her owner, Grace. Now, yes, this is a romance with no bedroom scenes whatsoever. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t sparks and some serious tension in the room between Dash and Grace.
Just as Dash is settling into a routine with the family (which includes the puppy), Star is kidnapped. As they try to figure out who could do such a horrible thing - they really start to learn a lot about each other. Dash isn’t all fancy celebrity, and Grace has a great sense of humor with a contagious laugh. Not to leave out Clover, the girl’s innocence and love of life just fly off the page and into your heart.
Dash and Grace will have a lot to work through if they will ever find a way to meet in the middle, but with Star and Clover helping from the sidelines, they might just make it.

Guarding Grace is the third book in The Gold Coast Retrievers by Ann Omasta. This story can also be read as a standalone book.
I enjoyed reading this unique storyline about a puppy named, Star, who's a co host on a morning tv show. My only complaint would be that the whole story wasn't written in dual points of view. You had to wait until the epilogue to finally get Dash Diamond, the other co host of the morning show, point of view. Something I was waiting the whole story for. It would of helped me connect with Dash's character sooner whether then later on in the book. When he finally changed and became a better version of himself. Grace's daughter, Clover is a humorous little girl that had me laughing at some of the comments she made. I also loved the mother-daughter relationship that Grace had with her daughter, Clover. I think that's something most parents want with there children. I would recommend this story to anyone who loves to read sweet romances with a unique storyline.

A very engaging book! These golden retrievers are so cute and sweet! I am loving this series but they are all standalone books so you can read them separately! How can you not love a book that has a darling puppy and a sweet little girl? Grace and her darling daughter decide to get a puppy, whom they name Star. It's perfect because the puppy turns out to be a Star --- on a daytime talk show! The "human" on the show is Dash Diamond and boy is he full of himself! He doesn't like the puppy one bit! I so enjoyed reading the interaction between Grace and Dash! When the TV executives demand that Dash stay at Grace's house to "bond" with Star, oh boy, are their sparks flying! I loved the way we see Dash become a better version of himself and ultimately, fall in love with Grace and Clover. This is such a sweet story of being yourself, not what the "public" wants you to be. I enjoy every page of this book! I received this book from the publisher but wasn't required to share a review. These opinions are my own.
🐕Opening their home to a puppy brings exciting times and romance for Grace and little Clover 😁 September 21, 2018 Format: Kindle Edition 👍4 and a bit stars I really liked this sweet, clean 💕 romance that centers around the surprising direction single mother Grace and her little girl's life goes when they adopt a fluffy, energetic ball of a golden retriever🐕 puppy. It's an out of the ordinary plot with an adorable child, mischievous pup, and a mom who has to learn to tolerate a local morning tv show host with a big ego but falling ratings. There's lots of humor, not laugh out loud but worth a smile and a chuckle, and some tense drama as well. The hero actually morphed into someone that deserved his HEA. It's an easy, simply told read with lots of heart and a scene stealing pup who can work her way into just about any heart.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
If you love dogs (especially puppies and golden retriever puppies!) you will love the Gold Coast Retrievers Series! Guarding Grace by Ann Omasta is the third book in the series. Grace Wilson is a single mother with an adorable daughter named Clover who decided to get a golden retriever puppy. Off they went to breeder to get Star (named because she had a star on her chest. Dash Diamond was the ‘star’ of the show of the morning show Good Morning Gold Coast and very arrogant. When the two meet in the park and Grace is approached by the staff of Good Morning Gold Coast to use Star as a co-host with Dash, let’s just say, the meeting didn’t go well. After the first show the big brass of the show wanted Star and told Dash that it was either he got along with the dog or he would be replaced! How they solve this situation are both entertaining and frustrating, but not disappointing. I can’t wait for the next book!
Very well rounded story, plot holds it own keeping it clean without being boring. Grace and Clover are great characters and their humble life is good, their very special puppy opens doors for them that they couldn't even imagine and opens their hearts to unconditional love. Grace is lonely but so is super star Dash, he is stubborn but he soon realizes loneliness comes in all pay grades and I think he feels the peace that comes with the lifestyle of Grace & Clover and it draws him to them as well as the attraction him & Grace try to ignore, lol. He is spoiled and some of his ways/habits are hilarious but Grace somewhat calmly introduces him to more practical ways of accomplishing the same goal. They make a great team. Excellent writing!

What can i say. Another wonderful, sweet, heartwarming story. I totally fell in love with Grace, Clover and of course Star. i loved watching Dash change. I won’t say too much more about that, as I don’t want to put in any spoilers.
This story also had suspense when Star got puppy napped. I found it hard to put this book down. The narration was great. The narrator sounded like she was enjoying the story too.
I have already read and reviewed Watching Willow.
There is only one other audio book available in the gold coast retriever series, that i know of, which i am currently reading. Hoping more audio books become available in this series.
If you love animals, kids and romance, i would highly recommend this book.
