Eager for intimacy with other men, Kieran experiments with strangers after a late night visit to a truck stop.
But Kieran is naive, young, and new to town. He works at a wetlands preserve and hasn't yet formed supportive friendships. Accustomed to savoring only his fantasies, Kieran's limited real world experience has not prepared him for deceivers harboring secret agendas.
In other words, Kieran could be easily tempted.
Intrigued by three alluring men, Kieran must challenge his wits to determine who he can trust. Leo, the savvy cross country trucker with smoldering eyes? Tom, the ruggedly sexy janitor with a bewildering request? Andrew, a perceptive tattoo artist who may offer him something more than friendship?
"Lured" is tantalizing short fiction (17,000 words, a novelette) intended only for mature audiences. It is the third book in the Straight Taste series and it can be read as a stand-alone story or as part of the series.
Kieran and Andrew are an interesting team. My heart went out to Kieran when both situations, previously, ended up a bust.. The friendship he makes with his neighbor, Andrew, is good and refreshing. This story leaves you a little wanting but also expectant in terms of what comes next, .as this is a series the expectation is warranted. Interesting characters, both likable and not so much, give the story it’s worth, though the story isn’t extremely deep but rather fanciful, and the participants, each individually, gives the book it’s significance.

Looking for love in all the wrong places? Kieran, training to become a park ranger . He was naïve about the ways of the world. This night, Kieran lost power and navigated to the truck stop, which was still lit. He carried his baggage with him which made him a target. Leo, the straight man, sits beside him and baits him. Tom, the janitor intimidates him. Andrew, straight neighbor is kind to him. Kieran is learning life lessons on his journey through life. Interesting story, told in a monotone. This was a very interesting and riveting read. Kieran was so desperate for companionship he went about it all wrong. This was definitely a page turner and it got me upset sometimes on how naive Kieran was but it was life lessons for him. At the end though, he found him a true friend who would look out for him emotionally and physically. Great read!

This is a well written book with strong characters and an interesting story line. The author does a great job developing the story and moving it quickly and smoothly. She brings tons of emotions and does a great job describing and detailing both her characters and scenes, I enjoyed watching Kieran's journey.

Kieran is training to be a park ranger. Leo is a trucker who like to see Kieran when he is in need of some company. Tom is a janitor that works at the truck stop close to where Kieran lives. Andrew is Kieran's neighbor. Can Kieran find the love and companionship he wants? Who will be the best person to spend time with? What type of relationship does Kieran really want?

Kieran was a poster child for what not to do when you are seeking companionship. This was one of those pleasurably painful, I can't look away because I want to know how it will progress but wow is anyone that naive kind of reads that is a guilty pleasure to the end.

This is an eye opening voyage towards finding love or finding what you dream of. Innocence lost. Getting to know people beyond the surface view. I enjoyed reading of Kieran's baby steps towards his future.

Middle story in a series of five, this is a short novella tracking a young man and his exploits. "Lured" had a broad plot and Kieran faces episodes with 4 men, learning about himself with each encounter.
An interesting read. The characters are likable and the story is interesting. It will keep you reading to see if they get their happy ending. It is a quick read.
Kieran and Andrew are an interest me. Kiera wants to become a park ranger, but does not really know the way of the world. My makes himself a target by making silly mistakes.
