This book makes me want to do a series re-listen, I forgot how much I love these characters. It was like coming home.

You get a little piece of everyone, updates and how the kids have grown. It’s wonderful I can’t say enough good things. I want more, more, more!

Denny makes me chuckle so does Wheeler ha! Oh Reno an April.. and Prince and, and, and haha .. This book really has a little bit of all or favorites.

Melody she is a book I would love to read about.
What a perfect novella for this series. If you’re a fan you don’t want to miss out on this.

I have loved all of Nicole Poole's work she just makes each voice to the characters distinct. I don’t even have to be told who is speaking to know who it is. Love that.

Recommend, for dang sure. I <3 The Seven Series.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

This was an awesome novella that was a perfect little look into the lives of all our favorite "Seven" world characters. I was so happy that we got a little glimpse of all of them, and got to see how their lives are progressing a year or so down the road from where we last saw them.

And frankly this just makes me hungry for Ben's happy ending, and for Lakota and Melody to get a book of their own! So well done! I just can't get enough of this universe!

4.5 Texas Sized Snowflakes

I am a big fan of the Seven Series. I am also an Epilogue whore. This lovely novella delivers all the yummies that fans of epilogues clammer for. You will want to have read the series first to get the most out of this story. We get to see all our favorite couples again. And Ben!! There is humor and steamy times and babies and love. Throw in a Christmas snowstorm in Texas and it becomes just a perfect read.

It's not beneath me to beg so here goes.....PLEASE, Dannika, Jump ahead about 10 years and give us a Melody and Lakota novella. You know there is something simmering there. Just saying ;)

Winter Moon is a Seven series novella (#7.5) written by Dannika Dark. This paranormal/shifter romance series may be officially complete but thankfully there's a little wiggle room for something short and sweet. Winter Moon is a lovely catch-up with all the characters from the series while offering humor, suspense, romance, and tons of Christmas spirit. I was super happy to poke my head back inside Ms. Dark's fascinating world and would definitely recommend this holiday read for fans of the series. Check it out!!

My favorite quote:
"Snow had a way of making the world appear quieter, reminding its audience of how tranquil and elegant mother nature can be."

Winter Moon is a short read and a great way to catch up on the pack. I love the couple’s POV and the simplicity of the story. I would love for Melody and Lakota to be together and I also wants to know what will happen to the twins.

A good read indeed 👍🏻

(RabidReads.com)The Seven series by Dannika Dark is a wonderful series full of romance, family, suspense, and heartwarming moments, all surrounding a family of wolf shifters. It recently ended with the book, One second, and all her fans, me included, were not ready to say goodbye. Now the author has gifted us with a novella featuring this family of brothers and their mates. I say gifted because that’s what this novella is, a gift.

It’s Christmas Eve and there’s a snow storm going on at the Cole Pack home. Not too far in to the story the power goes out, so they are faced with Christmas dinner being ruined, and the only heat source being one fireplace in a huge two story home. The blurb warns us that someone is going to be missing(not killed), so I tried guessing all the way through about who it was going to be. And there were plenty to choose from.

All the characters are back, including characters that were featured in other books, but weren’t part of the brothers. I have two favorite brothers, Reno, the tough motorcycle riding private eye/bounty hunter-tough but with a heart of gold, now mated to April, and Denny, a bartender at the local shifter bar, now mated to Maizy. Other characters include packmaster Austin and his mate, Lexi(Maizy’s sister), local rock singer Jericho and his mate Izzy, among others. Favorite couple from this particular book was fairly newly mated, Trevor and William. It took them forever it seems, but now they are together and seriously cute together. Lakota, a newer character, and not a brother, was my favorite character this time. If you love this series or Dark’s Mageri Series, then you know why.

Each chapter follows either a couple, or a small group, and shows what’s going on with them during the snowstorm. Everyone is involved in different pursuits, so it does keep you guessing about what’s finally going to happen. What I liked the most was just catching up with the characters. There’s a new(er) baby in the family, some of the older teenagers are getting closer to adulthood, and the couples that have been together awhile are still romancing each other or even actively sneaking off for some quality alone time.

So much humor is evident this time(and really in all of the books) and I appreciated that. No spoilers, but Denny and his brother Wheeler’s adventure while looking for a Christmas tree was especially fun. I have been so invested in this series since book one and now all the characters are like old friends. While wolf shifter romances are a dime a dozen everywhere you look, this series in no way falls into that category. These characters have all been fully realized by the author, the romances have all been portrayed in a real manner and not all hearts and flowers, or love at first sight either. The mysteries or suspense/action is well thought out and executed, and these books have had me on the edge of my seat more times than I can count. Dark is truly a wonderful writer, and one that I urge everyone to try.

The only downside I see to this book is that I wish it was three times as long! Highly recommended to adult paranormal romance readers.

Teaser Indeed

This is a very light and quick read for those who have followed the Seven series. We are given a peak into the lives of the Weston pack after the War. If you haven't read the series, you need to start from the beginning. It is a great joy, checking in on old friends, and seeing the children mature into fine pack members. Great news for Wheeler and Naya. Nice to see more of Lakota. He is becoming a fine example of a young shifter with the ideals of both his native heritage and his Chitah upbringing. Would be great to see future visits with the Texas shifters, Weston, Church and Prince packs.

Priceless! The most amazing writer who has built a world that I would leave my own for! To fall in love with every character she writes shows her flawless ability to build such different characters yet the unity is cool! Several series she has written use the same world and characters make cameos in the other series... Not to mention how she is with her fans. U can find a Dannika on Fb and she is respectful o her "pack" as she calls it (awesome) and responds and reads everything.. And no.. I didn't comment on specifics.. Since it's too far in the series

Another hit from Dannika Dark!

I have always loved Dannika's work. While the Mageri series is my favorite, Winter Moon is definitely a favorite from the Seven series. My only complaint is that I wish there was more! I can't wait to read more about the Weston Pack as their children grow. Hopefully we'll see their own stories!

I loved this story. You got to see how all the couples are doing. Had me smiling and happy sighing. I wont spoil anything, but i love one of the pack members gifts. And loved how Lakota reminds me of his fathers. My only complaint that i have is the same for all Dannika Darks books is that it ended. I have read and loved every story, and am excited to find out what other exciting stories in the future to come.

This one is a quick look on all our couples. There is a lost teen that gets all the pack and friend searching, which is the biggest plot like element. I never connected well with most of the characters so waiting a month didn't help as I had forgotten about some too. If you loved the series, you will love the updates and Christmas cheer in a middle of a snow storm.

It looks like I missed a few important events by not finishing 'One Second', but that isn't going to make me go back and try to push through it for the third time. I adored the small tidbits this novella provided in past stories and the beginnings of one or two.

I loved getting insight into Trevor and William. In the series, they were always in the background. This novella was great because it "checked up" on so many people. It wasn't anything set in stone, but it was something I had been waiting for for the past few books and it finally happened.

This novella also got me interested in a possible Lakota spin-off series. He seems sweet and capable. Though I'm not sure I'm a big fan of Melody, considering her brilliant idea of going to look for a cat in a snowstorm close to nightfall.

The one thing I wish I did know the details of was the Ben situation. After what happened in Wheeler's story (Book #5 in this series) I thought that was the last I'd ever see of him. I don't think he deserves a happy ending and I'm not quite sure how to deal with him and the situation.

In conclusion, I liked this not quite "ending" to this series. It was sweet and almost every character seems to have a purpose or a possible story to tell in the future if the author so chooses. This was a great series and I can't wait to continue reading novels by this author!

The Audio Book:

The narration was great! Though the men seemed to have very similar voices but considering they're brothers it's something I expected. I've listened to a few of their individual stories and they do sound similar all around. It just makes it tricky in this novella because, for the most part, there are usually 2 or 3 brothers together at all times in most scenes.

Winter Moon was like an epilogue to the whole Seven series, and I felt like I was visiting with friends I hadn't seen in a long time.

Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews

As always, Poole narrated some of my favorite shifters to perfection, and Winter Moon included all of the characters that are part of the Weston pack. Poole's voices managed to easily distinguish them all, and made my experience of a holiday without electricity a really good one. Some chapters gave a quick view into one of the main couple's lives, while others involved the pack as a whole. There were a lot of funny quips, especially between the guys, and I loved seeing them with children being a bit older. Also, how the relationships had grown while still maintaining that initial excitement made me happy.

The main focus of Winter Moon, apart from the Weston pack, was Christmas. And while their holiday wasn't traditional for most humans, it certainly was for them. Even with the power outage and the very late searching for a tree kind of felt like it was natural for these amazing shifters and their mates.

There was a little bit of a mystery in Winter Moon as well, as one of the family members disappeared and it took a while for the others to realise that person was not inside the house anymore. If you're a fan of the Seven series, this one is a must-read (or a must-listen as it may be). And I hope that some of the interactions that happened are kind of foreshadowing of a possible future story for some of the younger characters!

Fave Quotes - (un)Conventional Bookviews

The only power burning inside their house was... love.

Winter Moon was short but so much fun! We get to spend the holidays with the Weston pack. As always, there are a ton of things all going on at once. Everyone is trying to pull together Christmas at the last minute. We see shopping excursions, tree hunting, gift giving, all in the midst of a snow storm that takes out power and endangers the precious Christmas dinner!

In all the craziness, a pack member does go missing and it is a race to find them. I was interested by what appears to be a relationship forming. It is tough though, knowing this series is finished and it is unlikely I will ever hear anything more from these two.

I loved getting to bask in the holidays with the Weston pack. This was a great add-on to this finished series. This review was originally posted on Rantings of a Reading Addict

Excellent novella about Christmas love and family! We have Sparty missing, power outage but does this stop Christmas, NO! We read about the love of family but there is the open story of Lakota and possibly Melody? Enjoy these snippets !

I NEVER WANT THE SEVEN SERIES TO END!

Dannika Dark has created a very large universe in which her stories take place. The shifter world is 100 % percent my favorite. I’m in love with the Weston pack. Their story has all the things I like: action, adventure, peril, love, laughs, feels, and friendship. I think that last thing, friendship, is what I loved most about this series. All of the characters felt so real and I’ve been with them for so long that I feel a friendship toward them.

This served as a lovely little slice of life in the Weston pack and an additional epilogue of sorts. I enjoy checking in on them from time to time to see how they’re doing. Actually, that’s not completely true. Every time I get just a little bit more I freak out at how happy it makes me. In Winter Moon we get to see what Christmas is like in the pack. Everyone makes an appearance and it’s a wonderful walk down memory lane. As for the smut, there isn’t too much but I’ll just say the Jericho and Izzy chapter is worth bookmarking! ::wink wink::

I’ve been in it for the long run with this series and I’m so incredibly bummed there isn’t supposed to be anymore! There are so many more stories to tell! What about Ben? I always thought there would perhaps be a Ben/Nadia relationship. It seems like an unlikely pairing but she herself said she doesn’t need a man to take care of her financially or otherwise. Ben has problems with money and gambling and he would feel like he had nothing to offer a woman like her. But she doesn’t need that and all she would need is his love! (Just saying… that would be an awesome book that I would want to read and if Dannika Dark ever wrote it I would have tears of joy.) Ok enough about Ben… what about the twins and having their own pack one day or a Melody/Lakota pairing because come on! That boy has it bad! I’m just saying that there are a lot of stories yet to tell in this world and I would love to read them if Dannika would write them!

This book was a great re-visit to the Seven series. It made me want to re-read the whole series again and to recommend the series to anyone who hasn't read it yet. The book itself was just a nice Christmas story. The only issue I have with that is I personally have trouble reading Christmas stories in the summer. Eighty degrees outside is too hot to read about a snow storm.

I LOVED IT! It's a catch 22 though. I Loved the book but sadly that means the series is over :( I really loved the series and this book was a really great addition to it. You get a bit of everyone in this book, updates on everyone. It was a great loving "family" holiday book and a great ending to the series. I loved that you got to hear a bit about everyone, see the changes and how they've grown.
If you like Shifter or Paranormal books, you really should give the Seven Series a try. I loved the whole series and will miss it. It had me interested from start to finish. Great plot, great character building, great characters and very well written. A must read!

Ok

This was an ok oversight of who the pack was doing.... I know it was a novella but I was expecting either a focused address of Melody/Lakota or William/Trevor. It was really neither and a little of both. Anyway ..... loved the series.
