Main motive of this book was to aware the readers about the Importance of self love. I liked this new approach from Subin Bhattarai.

First of all, oh my gosh the cover is all beautiful. I fell in love with this cover and story, both. It's a lovely book beautifully written. Story development is amazing. This book really touched my heart
It made me so emotional. It gave the feel like once you hit the rock bottom of your life, only thing you can so is rise and shine bright. I loved the sisters relationship most. How sada's outlook about her family and society, about love changed. Her struggles to understand things is really heartfelt.

It is okay, motivational but I kinda felt like the author has tried to over exaggerate some lines and has used too much of analogies which is quite frustrating at times. But, in overall this book is fine.

The first half of the book is delightful. Playful love story between Sarthak and Sada was very joyful to read. The second half is a bit serious and how the lead Sada faces insurmountable pain due to diagnosis of an ortho-related disease. (Spoiler: I liked the whole story telling but years of crippling with pain and getting over it in just few days seemed a bit unrealistic. )
This book is also a portray of the medical practise in Nepal. False diagnosis leads to a life changing moment in the protagonist Sada's life.

“Priya Sufi” is a motivational self-help novel. While the book carries an inspiring message, it does have some flaws. At certain points the flow of the story feels stagnant, and in a few places the events seem somewhat exaggerated. The sudden health issues faced by the main character, Sada, feel a bit unnatural, and the rapid worsening of her condition also appears unrealistic.
Overall, despite these shortcomings, it is still a good read.

From the name I expected it to be a love story but when I finished the book I discovered it was a fictional self-help book. Well, an average story but a few lines were heart touching and inspirational. The not-so-unusual story yet portrayed in a beautiful way, the writing style is soothing and heart touching to read. At some point, some of us might feel bore because of a tiring-length story with no strong twist/plot, but keep on reading and I think later parts of the story will convince you :).
I re-read it this year, 2021, and this time I recited for a brother and I felt this book tried to reflect life or the importance of life or what life gives and takes :D. I still remember when this book was released and people review it afterward, most of them wished if they could meet the character, Sadaa Chhetri, only if it was possible, even I could stand in the queue :D.

किताबका प्रत्येक पाना पाना मेरा लागि अमूल्य थिए। म धेरै पटक रोएँ- सुफिले सार्थकलाई दिदिको कति माया लाग्छ भनेर बताउदा रोएँ, कहिले सुफिको सदाप्रतीको माया र त्याग देखेर रोएँ, कहिले सदाको पीडामा रोएँ त कतै उनीहरुको बाबुको विवसता, सन्तान प्रतिको प्रेम र बाबु भएर पनी केही गर्न नसकेको पीडामा रोएँ। अझै त्यो भन्दा धेरै त सदाको सफलताले रुवायो । भास्करले जग्गा नै बेचेर छोरिको स्याहार गर्दा रोएँ, सुफिले सदालाई गरेको स्याहार सम्झेर रोएँ, सदा सुफिको काखमा रुदा म पनि सङै रोएँ, सदाको चिट्ठी पढेर रोएँ, निको हुने २ दिनमा भित्ता समाएर हिड्दा भास्कर र सुफि जसरी खुसी भएका थिए त्यो बेला भास्कर संगै रोएँ, पुस्तक छापिएपछि सदा जसरी रोइ म पनि त्यसरी नै रोएँ । यो पुस्तकका प्रत्येक पात्र मेरै वरिपरि आफन्ती भएर बसेका छन्। मानिस जब मनोविज्ञान र आत्मविश्वासमा हार्छ, उसले आफ्नै जिवनको सबथोक बिगार्छ । प्रेममा कल्पेर बासनामा डल्किनेहरू आफ्नो सक्षमता गुमाएपछि अरूको सफलताको डाहामा सल्किने गर्छन् । यसो नगर्न, आफु बन्न र प्रगतिको गोरेटो खन्न कोरेसो चलाउन सिकाउने समकालिन साहित्यको अचुक आदेश हो- प्रीय सुफी । यो पुस्तकले जिन्दगीलाई बुझ्न सिकाएको छ, माया गर्न सिकाएको छ, धैर्य गर्न सिकाएको छ, दुख सहन सिकाएको छ अनि समग्रमा जीवन जिउने कला सिकाएको छ। मानिसलाई चित्त बुझेको कुरा पुस्तकमा पायो भने मन पराउँछ । प्रीय सुफीले मलाई धेरै चित्त बुझायो । धेरै बॉच्न चाहन्छु, यस्तै पुस्तक पढ्न भएपनि र 'प्रिय सुफी'ले मेरो दराजको ऑखाको पहिलो प्रहर पर्ने ठाउँमा र हृदयको पुस्तकालयमा मस्तिष्कले देख्ने ठाउँमा स्थान पाएको छ ।
सुरूमा लाग्दै थियो सुफी कस्की प्रिय होलिन् त ? यस्तै लाग्दै गयो कि कुनै न कुनै बेला सुफीको प्रेमको काहानी कथामा चुलिने छ, र सुफी उसैकी प्रिय हुनेछिन्, उनलाई माग्न आउने केटा कतै सार्थक भएर कथाले अर्को मोड लिने पो हो कि भन्ने भावना पनि नआएको भने हैन, तर कथा आफ्नै गतिमा बग्यो र अन्त्यमा सुफी सबैकी प्रिय भएर बिदा भईन् । 😔 अन्तत: कोही जिवनबाट हारिरहेको छ भने प्रिय सुफी गिफ्ट दिनुस्,कसैले जिवन जिउनको कारण भेट्दैन भने प्रिय सुफी गिफ्ट दिनुस्,कसैले बाबुको माया बुझेको छैन भने प्रिय सुफी गिफ्ट दिनुस्,एकचोटी पढ्नुस्, समय सदुपायोग भएको फिल हुनेछ 💕💕

Its not a good thing to compare but if Chetan bhagat can write over dramatic book then i can digest a bit of melodrama by Subin bhattrai... Sure enough that a few things in this book might not sound realistic or the reader may feel that it could have happened earlier than that or a few things could have taken more time than its presented... I decided to just digest it...
Because... For me this book was very readable.. finishing a book in 2 days means either its writing is so good that you don't want to stop.. like this one... Or the story is so bad that you don't want to waste time so you just complete it somehow (like bhattrai's saya)....
A totally pleasant book to read indeed... And for someone like me who can get emotional in a few seconds, a book that brought tears that trickled down my cheeks to my chest.... Yes.. it has its own flaws but its a beautiful book and I'm glad that i read it....

बिम्बै-बिम्बले भरिएको सुबिन भट्टराईको यस रचनाले पाठकको जीवन जिउने तरिका र त्यसलाई हेर्ने दृष्टिकोणमा सकारात्मक परिवर्तन ल्याउँने सामर्थ्य राख्दछ । 'प्रिय सुफी' आख्यान भएपनि पढ्दै जाने क्रममा कुनै ठाँउमा self-help book हो कि भन्ने भान हुन्छ । लभस्टोरी लेख्नमा सफलताको शिखर पुगिसकेका सुबिनको लेखाइमा आएको यो रचनात्मक detour प्रशंसनीय छ । फिल्मी स्टाईलमा लेखिएको यस कथाका कतिपय घटनाहरु clichéd नै लागेपनि boring भने पटक्कै छैन । बलिउडमा करन जोहरले 'Dear Zindagi' नामक चलचित्र नबनाएका भए यस किताब को नाम Dear Zindagi राख्दा अझ बढी सान्दर्भिक हुने थियो ।

जे होस् सुबिन भट्टराईको लेखाइ मनपराउने प्रिय पाठकलाई प्रिय सुफी प्रिय नै लाग्ने कुरामा कुनै द्विविधा नहोला । सदा र सुफीसँग परिचय गराइदिनु भएकोमा लेखक भट्टराईलाई मुरी मुरी धन्यवाद ।।

Lovestory smelled far better than those love stories Subin Bhattarai has ever published. The story, plot and writing style of Mr. Bhattarai have always amazed me. This time, the title-problem, to be blunt. I was waiting to face Sufi all over an hour and then her part appears with very light imagery of the past. The title, however, seemed a bit uneasy for the readers at first but the development and the ending showed the real weight of it; quite impressive.
In conclusion, I really really enjoyed the book and it is, of course, worth reading; Just go for it !!

"Priya Sufi” by Subin Bhattarai is a light and engaging read that beautifully captures the emotions of love and relationships. The story feels a bit filmy at times, but that’s also what makes it entertaining and easy to connect with.
Overall, even though it may feel slightly over dramatic in places, it’s still an enjoyable and heart touching novel. Definitely worth reading if you enjoy romantic stories.

Started out as a romance novel. Turned into a motivational one. Enjoyed reading the book. Subin's writing is extraordinary. Didn't let my hopes down after reading the magnificient IJORIYA. Character development went well. Twists and turns make the book interesting. Overall, A Great book.
