When I was 12 years old my mother died of cancer. I didn't realize it until years later, but the tragedy of losing my mother was actually my greatest gift: My mother gave me a story that could inspire others and a mind that could find the answers the world was literally dying to know. My purpose in life is to ensure that no child has to go through what I did, ever again.

Mark has published a number of books including the 6x #1 international bestseller Red Light Therapy: Miracle Medicine and two monumental works on cancer called The Cancer Industry and Cancer: The Metabolic Disease, both of which include a combined total of over 2400 scientific and clinical references. Never before has the root cause of cancer been so well documented and easy to understand.

Mark has been researching health, including hundreds of books, for over 15 years and has many unique evidence-based insights to share with the world. His website is EndAllDisease.com and he believes the goal of ending all diseases is not only possible, but it's only a matter of time before his message becomes universally known throughout the world.

The first book in this series was (to me) far more ground-breaking and eye-opening than this one, though that could just be because of my knowledge base as a naturopathic physician. I've been familiar with the metabolic theory of cancer, as opposed to the genetic theory, for some time, and already agreed with it. Also, many of the cancer fighting compounds he highlights seem rather randomly chosen, to me. Almost every plant God made is anti-inflammatory, antioxidant (and therefore protective against DNA damage), anti-microbial, and in a vast number of cases, specifically anti-cancer. If it isn't the latter, it certainly sets the preconditions for health that allow the body to do that job. Some things have been studied more than others, but I think highlighting a small subset misses the forest for the trees. You don't have to eat massive numbers of oranges to fight cancer... just eat food the way God made it, whole and unprocessed.

A brilliant easy to read book that is written concisely and which is easy to understand. Sloan challenges the idea that Cancer is a genetic disease as opposed to a metabolic disease. He argues that cancer cells are not murderous mutant terrorist cells that kill everything in their path but normal cells that are damaged from not getting what they need to function properly. The building of a tumour results from stem cells directed by the body to destroy the cancer cells but instead become damaged because they too can no longer function properly. Certain suggestions regarding including oranges (which contain flavanoids and vitamen C antioxidants) coconut oil (contains MCT Oil) in the diet and Illiminate foods high in polyunsaturated oils (vegetable seed oils) and finally using sodium bicarbonate daily are alll interesting thoughts. A Book that will be read repeatedly. Highly Recommended.

This short read opens with several proposed remedies that prevent and/or treat cancer, namely: Oranges and Vitamin C; Coconut oil and MCT oil; and Sodium Bicarbonate (aka Baking Soda). Tangentially, sufficient sunlight exposure and/or red light therapy as well as aspirin are also touted. What follows is the book’s final chapter, premised on the disease being metabolic arising out of environmental toxicity and nutritional deficiency (e.g., pyruvate dehydrogenase), and thus more readily preventable and treatable compared to if the disease was vastly caused by genetic factors. Sweeping generalizations abound throughout the book, so the advices should certainly be taken with a huge grain of salt.

I like this book except for the confusing section about saturated vs unsaturated fats in ones diet and its effect on cancer growth. I think this section refers to effects on the environment which allow cancer cells to proliferate But if we know that cancer cells live on glucose (and glycine Seyfried) then why is there discussion about burning fats from the diet. This is confusing to me... And I found Dr. Seyfried's book (similar name)) better/more-consistent() than this author's book.

Amazing

Everyone should know what cancer is and isn't. This book clearly defines that. This is an amazing book that gives people like myself hope because I have been told for many, many years that I am destined to get cancer because of my genetics.

Some good advice. Thought it was well researched. Some tips were pretty anecdotal.
