Fun clean beach read.
Larry is a billionaire owner of a bank who is trying to do new things outside his office.
Maizee is recovering from a rough breakup with her bank manager and is transferred to a new office. Before she starts work there, she decides to go on a hike to a waterfall and is caught up in a sudden storm and hurts her ankle. She knows who Larry is when he hears her cries and her dog's barking because his picture is in all of the company newsletters, but he doesn't know who she is...yet.
I appreciate that there's not more than kissing in these books.
Needed an additional edit to correct misspellings throughout the book though....including Lawrence's name and the spelling of Maui.

Lawrence is the owner of Gladstone Financial and loves his job and everything indoors. He decides, after his friends basically harass him about never going outside, to try hiking up to the waterfall. It starts raining before he gets there and he runs into Maizee who was on her way down when she twisted her ankle. She knows who he is but he has not idea that she is an employee at his bank.
Even though he has never seen a boss/employee relationship work out can they make theirs work?
Will Maizee give him a true chance given the heartbreak she endured after her last breakup? What happens when her ex finds out that she is dating the owner of the company then confronts her in the bank after he is there to visit Lawrence and then files a complaint against her? Will Lawrence stand up for her?

I am enjoying the series set in Hawaii. In the Brave Billionaire, Lawrence Gladstone, owner of the bank where Maizee has been a loan officer for 19 years rescues Maizee when she sprains her ankle on a hike to the waterfalls. She has just transferred branches because her fiance of 5 years called it off and was the branch manager at the last branch she worked at. Lawrence and Maizee are two very different people. She is more of an outdoors person, and he enjoys computers, numbers, and staying inside. They start a secret relationship and Lawrence tries to do more things that Maizee likes. Things progress until a complaint is filed against both of them by her ex-fiance (but filed anonymously) that they are having an improper work relationship and that she got the job because of it, which was false. Maizee quits and when Lawrence doesn't stand up for her she ends the relationship. Does she go back to the bank with just 1 year until she can get retirement? Does she work things out with Lawrence?

They both end up hiking and getting stuck together during a tropical storm. He's completely useless outside and does his best to hide it as they wait out the storm. They decide to see each other without telling anyone. They suddenly find themselves in a heap of trouble as allegations of preferential treatment towards Maizee are filed in complaints against Lawrence. Can they survive the inquiry or is this the end of their romance?~

Lawrence and Maizee meet on a hiking trail in the rain. For Maizee, it’s not unusual to be on a hiking trail, but it is for Lawrence. Maizee has just transferred offices and is now working in the office where Lawrence works – in his financial company. This makes their relationship awkward and does cause some difficulties. They are instantly interested in each other, but beside the work issues, they appear to have different interests. Can they fall in love? Can they have a future together.
I enjoyed this book, and I’ve liked the author’s other books. Fun and very clean!

This was a dumb book and difficult to read. The characters had no spark. The man hated the outdoors but a chapter later he was out on his yacht. This author does this a lot i have found but at least other books interesting. Maisee transfers to Getaway Bay bank after her boss/fiancée dumps her. She meets her new boss, billionaire Lawrence after twisting her ankle on a trail. Maisee worries constantly in the book. Where is he? Why didnt he kiss me (first date), why doesnt he call? Obnoxious dull book.

Maisey was out hiking, she loved the outdoors. She and her dog were walking back from the waterfall because a storm was starting when she fell & twisted her ankle. Lawrence wasn't much of a outdoor guy so this bike was different for him. He ended helping Maisey when he rescued her, she was the new loan officer, he hadn't met her, she starts work on Monday. Can they both work together & start a relationship.

Like a House full of Mirrors
When people try to twist us into something we are not, it's confusing and hurtful. The constant complaining and ridicule, make one forget who we are. This is what Winn did to Mazzie, no wonder she wanted to get away. He had a lot of nerve showing back up and treating her like dirt, then trying to destroy what she had. Excellent story of being true to yourself, because then you will really be loved.

Lawrence is trying new activities, away from his job that took up so much of his life. Maizee is starting over in a new branch, away from her ex fiance. Lawrence is unsure if they should date because she works for him, and Maizee feels she must always be perfect. A cute read. Although, I greatly detest women "giggling" all the time. Why can't she laugh? I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

A Billionaire story of loosening up and enjoying life. The heroine loves outdoor activities. The hero shies away from them. This couple has a strong attraction and enjoy being together, but as any romance worth its salt, there are problems. It is a really good book and I fully enjoyed it! Well, this book felt a little different from the rest as the heroine was an entirely new character and we really haven’t seen the hero before. It was a good boss/employee romance. There were some fun outings and history coming back to cause stress. We did see some of our past characters.

Taking place in beautiful Hawaii this billionaire boss romance was nice. The characters complimented each other and took time to get to know each other. Time spent apart turned out to be a good thing, making them realize they really want to be together.

That was kind of a misnomer. Both of the main characters had to show a bit of bravery to get to their HEA.
Even though they were slightly older, they both were insecure in their relationship. So glad they chose to be brave and tell each other how they felt!

Lawrence and Maizie are the best characters. Two great people with wonderful personalities. Each with nice families. The island setting makes this book worthy of being acceptable for a television series. Enjoy!

Okay, okay, okay
This novel had a lot of up and down moments for me. One moment, I was completely sure I wouldn't keep reading it, the next I couldn't seem to put it down because I wanted to know what happened. In the end, I'm glad I stuck with it and finished it out.

I am loving this series; this is another great story in Getaway Bay. Maizee works at Gladstone Financial now in Getaway Bay, where she meets the owner, Lawarence Gladstone. They had difficulties that they had to overcome, but their attraction to each other was strong. I enjoyed their path to a HEA.
