The authors also examine and assess the impact of the war on drugs and conclude with a discussion of recent policy changes such as drug courts and reform/repeal of mandatory minimum sentences and an examination of new and emerging drug policies in the 21st Century.

5 ⭐️ from all the criminal justice textbooks i had in undergrad, this one was a really good one. i enjoyed the course, but also was able to use this as a source for other classes throughout the semester, so that was really neat! one of those that i’m glad i had to read cover to cover the last few months
