Review to come. That went much faster than I was expecting. Well, looks like the boys are competing over Yu directly and she definitely has conflicted feelings over both of them. This series is strong so far. I also was worried about the cat a few times in this. Something told me that misunderstanding about the hospital wasn't what it seemed.

4 stars. KU has this series up to Volume 8, so I'll probably read up to that.

Es war diesmal nicht wirklich kitschig und süß, sondern geht hier richtig zur Sache. Auch wenn Yu sich manchmal echt kindisch verhält.... 😂 Aber jetzt wird es etwas mysteriöser und es müssen bestimmt einige Geheimnisse bald gelüftet werden. Ich habe da so einige Vermutung, bin gespannt, was da noch kommt.

Where is the romance?

I devoured all 19 volumes of Defying Kurosaki-kun over the last week. This is a beautiful story of Yu and Haruto's relationship as it grows from nothing to sweet romance. Haruto's always been a loner except for Takumi who's been his only friend until Yu comes into his life. The story is about the relationship between Yu and Haruto but Takumi is such a intricate part of the story.

 I really loved Yu as a character she's this bright ball of sunshine who's reinvented herself now that she's in high school and growing so much into this character you just cheer on. Haruto is cold and demanding in the beginning but we get to see him slowly start to grow as the series progresses. He builds friendships, reconnects to his family and he learns so show Yu how much she means to him. 

I truly enjoyed the series even if I had a few moments where I wanted to reach through the book and stab Haruto for being stupid. it's a whirlwind sweet love story that I'm so sad to see ending. I wish that this series wouldn't have ended because I wanted more of Yu and Haruto's story. I wanted Takumi to find his happy ever after too. I do hope maybe one day we will get more. This is one of my top favorite series. Highly recommend if you are a fan of the grumpy/sunshine trope it fits really well. The artwork is beautifully done. I loved it so much the whole story.

More Intriguing

Reading these, you start to wonder if the white prince is really who he appears to be. This volume kind of let us peek behind that curtain, which made me gasp out loud. More worried than ever for our protagonist and her increasingly worrisome love triangle. Poor girl. Cant stop reading though haha

C'est un manga un peu junk food, tu sais que tu ne devrais pas aimer mais sur le coup c'est bon et ça te laisse un goût de reviens-y. Je trouve l'héroïne un peu plus passive dans ce tome (j'ai l'impression), ça c'est dommage.

Двама манипулативни красавци и едно момиче, което "вятър го вее на бял кон". Бива ли главната героиня да е толкова наивна и глуповата? Но пък, като се замисли човек, те всичките са такива, момичетата в шоуджо мангите. Смут моментите са страхотни обаче, за това мангата получава повече звезди от колкото заслужава с такава героиня.

Unimpressed

I’m just… not very impressed with this series. Shirakawa is sketchy af, Kurosaki needs to learn what communication and consent are, and Yu needs to wise up and make her own choices. I’m out.

Slow burner

Not that much happened in this book. But I'm still enjoying following their journey. The love triangle is a good addition to the story. But I find that I didn't feel as much chemistry in this book.
