This was the first books I have read by Emilia Ferguson, and will not be the last.
The three stories are about two brother's, The oldest is Broderick MacConnoway, son of the Thane of
Dunkeld. Who needs to form an alliance with the family of Lochlann in order to fulfill his vengeance on the clan who killed his first wife. The only way to do this is marriage to the great niece of Brien, Earl of Lochlann. In a time when women had no say what happened to them, Amabel du Mas wants nothing to do with the stranger her uncle has chosen. Till they meet for the first time.
Now with the nasty uncle using him for this own problems, handling his vengeance and having a new wife. Life is full of problems..Then his 2nd wife is captured and everything changes for both of them.
Book Two is about Broderick's brother, Duncan MacConnoway , who being the 2nd son is use to getting his own way. After one glance at Amabel's sister Aina and Duncan knows he want to marry
her. After getting to know each other helping Broderick and Amabel all they need is her uncle's
approval. As he is a nasty old guy he tell's them no. Alina will need to use her gift to help Duncan
or risk losing the love of her life forever. Read on to see what happens next.
Book Three
This is the hardest to read, and the best at the same time.
Chrissie the cousin to both Amabel and Aina has always been fun loving and
happy. As she is the last girl for her uncle to marry off she is able to pick her husband somewhat.
There is Heath Fraser older and has always been a good friend.
or the persistent Blaine, master at arms to her uncle and unsuitable to marry a Lady.
Blaine has been in love with Chrissie for years.
Chrissie is taken captive and robbed of her youth forever. Blaine rescues her and they are married. But there are many unseen events that neither forsee. Can both of them find love enough to
over come the secrets that are coming and may destroy their young love and live before it even
gets started?
Read on to find out, all three stories can be read by it's self , but much better to read in order.

Heart of a Highlander - What a fantastic trip back to Scotland. You could imagine yourself there with these hot Scottish men and the beautiful women who fall in love with them out in the Scottish countryside and forests. The story takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride - vengeance at the cost of all else, heartbreaking loss, surprising newfound love, fighting the wrong enemy, discovering what matters the most, and realizing just how strong you are when you think you can't take one more step. A story finding your happily every after when you thought it was never possible. I couldn't put this book down once I started.

Review This story brings us back to Scotland to visit with everyone from the first story, Heart of a Highlander. This time around, we witness the Earl of Lochlann demand the completion of three tasks by Duncan MacConnoway in order to wed the Earl's niece Alina du Mas. Life has a funny way of changing your mind and events unfold that open Chrissie's eyes anew to Blaine. She is confused and unsure of how to know who to love. A captivating story line that throws in kidnapping, a brewing war, love, family, friendship, action and twists and turns to keep you reading. All the previous characters are back as well, so we can see how their lives have progressed so far.

Heart of a Highlander
I really enjoyed this story. A story of love, loss, danger, struggles within one's heart and mind. Who can you believe? Who can you trust? Are things always the way you see them? Or are you misreading or misjudging? Come along with Broderick and Amabel on this whirlwind adventure and find out the answers to these questions and more.
The Highlander's Challenge
Duncan and Alina want to marry. They need Uncle Brien's permission. Brien gives Duncan 3 tasks to complete before he will allow the marriage. These tasks are mysterious and seem impossible. Will Duncan be able to complete them? Alina finds herself in a bad situation. Will she be able to escape? Get a copy of this book and come along on this roller coaster ride and find out the answers. It is fun to go to medieval Scotland and hang out with the Highlanders. I recommend these books. They are stand alone books but you will learn more about the characters if you read in sequence.

Enjoyable Highland Romance Box Set. I read these books individually and am pleased to see this box set. The main characters in these stories all have some form of vulnerability which make them more likable and realistic. The books can all be read as standalone stories but having them in this box set allows the reader to enjoy the flow on of the family connections. The action scenes are wonderfully written and make you feel that you are there. I recommend this set to lovers of Highland Romance.

I totally love Knights and Highlanders. I love their honor, virtue and loyalty to everyone, especially their families. These books follow three cousins who have only each other and the uncle with whom they live. They are used by their scheming uncle's advancement. There is mystery, heartaches and love. All of the emotion makes you feel as if you are there with them. I recommend this book.

Family
Three cousins and sisters are wards of their Uncle who is ambitious and wants to marry them to further his holdings. He sets hard tasks for the the men that court them. True love has a way of overcoming objections. Well written with history and strong characters. The set of 3 follows the girls and family through trials and love.

I lliked all the stories in the book but I think my favorite was Highland Hero because when Chrissie was assaulted, she was able to finally work her way through it. I'm happy to see that despite his doubts, Blaine stood by her. But, I do feel she was a bit immature the way she treated Blaine in the beginning and came across as being fickle.

Great Read
This series was very enjoyable. The relationships between the women relatives was very close. Through all the twists and turns and losses love always prevails. The men were what you would expect from hardy highlanders, strong, handsome and great husbands. I think this series is good for High School through adults.

If you love historial romances, this is the one. You get to dive into the highlands and follow the people there. It’s full of love, deceit, twists and turns - everything is there.

A set of three very good books that are well-written and well worth reading, I enjoyed all three stories and this is a set I will be reading again. I received a copy of this set and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This was great. I'd always had a hard time keeping this family straight. Having the three books together and in order was a great help. It was so hard to put this down and actually get some work done. Very enjoyable.
