If you find humiliation sexy this may be your cup of tea. I’m not a fan of that level of submission. Even if it was my kink, a lifetime of child rearing & pregnancy is not my idea of sexy. 1000+ years of living & all fertile years in that nightmare scenario. 😑 1 fear inducing star.
I’m thinking breeding books are not for me.

This book counts toward my RHR Bingo book challenge: Wild & Wonkey Sex

It needs editing
by SUZY'S BOOK SHELF

It started well, really well I thought oh this going to be good but went down hill I am afraid, some spelling mistakes some words missing and sentences not in order. The plot actually sounded good, It's also advertised as a dark read it is no such thing. Its a science fiction book with to much sex in. Why do authors make all women Submissive its just not true we do not all want to be serving on our knees thank you very much yet time and time again this is what is portrayed. Jasmine was a kick ass character but was brought down to her knees. What makes this so remarkable is that she hated and despised the Aurelians, This triad of 7 foot aliens were captured by the TOADS and sent to what was I suppose like the olden days of Roman Colosseums and the gladiator battles, except they are fighting 10ft Scorpions. The actual story was very good but good have been so much more. There was really to much sex that I was flipping the pages so I didn't have to read it.I am not a prude and love a good sex scene just not all the time, the way she was treated was wrong. I do not understand why humiliation is sexy. Any way my advice is to do a re-edit of this and take out some of the sex scenes, and make it more Science fiction you would have a major hit. As it stands now 3 stars is all I can give

I also got the book📑 with KU.

The book📑 needed much more editing before publishing. There are numerous grammar and spelling errors and also continuity problems in a few places. The book📑 lost a 🌟star because of these problems.

Horrible porn- less than one star

It’s like it was written by a teenager who has seen to many bad porno movies. The sex wasn’t remotely realistic, or appealing. At one point the “virgin” is taking 3 at one time none of which are even remotely described as small, I think she estimated they were a foot long, and one guy is cumming directly into her stomach (shit u not that’s what it says)....... no pain, not even discomfort, no choking, no slow and ease her into it, she just takes it and enjoys it.... I couldn’t even finish the book. The storyline could have been good if the teenage boys wet dream hadn’t gotten in the way.

Not going to lie, I lost interest in this book about a quarter way into it. I dutifully finished, but it took quite a while. The story was okay at times, but the author seemed to keep forgetting which character she was writing. That got confusing enough to take me right out of the story. All the inner dialogue and thoughts were the same, over and over. The sex was either uninspired or downright abusive. Nope, I did not care for this book.

I was pretty excited to read this story. A full submission alien menage? Yes please. Unfortunately I was disappointed.
This is a forced submission story but if there isn't at least a seed of believable attraction, respect and actual desire to submit it won't work.
While the author told us the heroine wanted it and that the mating bond only made it stronger and more overwhelming they never made me feel it. There was supposedly respect on all sides, but I never saw it. So instead of feeling joyful, heart felt submission, I felt cruelty and disrespect and because of that the whole thing seemed more like rape. While the story idea was wonderful, the execution was not.
So why does it get 3 stars instead of 1? Because with fairly minor editing almost every scene could easily reflect that the heroine was supposed to be forcefully led into submitting to her own desires instead of being forced to take what she could in order to stay sane while being forced to other peoples desires.

***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***

Pretty good story

I imagine if you are a truly submissive female you will love this book. I am not so most of the book pissed me off. There is lots of rough sex & a little spanking. Mostly there is humiliation & exhibition. Like I said, if that’s your thing you’ll love it. I think the story & characters are well formed & thought out. The story is true to this fetish or lifestyle.

Ugh.

Aurelians keep harems of human women who are described as “naturally submissive”; human women swoon and kneel in their presence. Gag. The heroine is supposedly the feisty exception - she hates Aurelians and sees them as despotic rulers of Earth. Aurelians have taken on role of “protectors” of Earth - harems of human women and high taxes are their payment. But our three hero Aurelians have been enslaved by an alien race of Toads and are being forced to fight in gladiator arenas. (And what’s up with all the gladiator themes in recent sci fi erotica?) Our human woman heroine is also enslaved by the same Toads and used to coerce the Aurelians into fights where the odds are totally against them. Let the games begin. Then they escape. Then they seek revenge. And during all that our heroine revises her evaluations of Aurelians. Blah blah boring and thoroughly predictable. The character development of the three Aurelian heroes was so under-developed I couldn’t tell them apart.

A complex, steamy, and HOT start to a new series - Highly recommend if you like dark paranormal romances

For adults only (18+ years of age)

Contains situations that may be triggers or offensive to some, including: adult language, steamy detailed intimate scenes with heavy domination / submission, public humiliation, etc. and violence (kidnapping, enforced slavery, fighting to death or submission, etc.). If any of these are triggers or offensive to you, then this may not be the book or series for you.

This was a very good read for a new series. The author took the time to build a world that is supposedly thousands of years into the future. Unfortunately racism, cultural ignorance, and hatred are still alive and well between the humans and other races / species. There are quite a few grammatical errors, but I didn't have any issues with determining the author's intent.

In this story, humans have left earth behind and now primarily live on Terra. They surrendered to the Aurelians for protection against some of the other aggressive species such as Toads. In exchange they collect taxes, as they have no real interest in ruling any planet other than their own. The Aurelians are an extremely long lived people, but they are also a dying species. They can only reproduce male children with their human bond mate, or when they die of old age their aura is used to create a new Aurelian.

It is extremely hard to find a bond mate, as the last one was over three thousand years ago when the Emperor was born. The Aurelian triad finds their bond mate when they are shot down and captured by a Toad slaver, who sabotaged their ship. They are told they will have to fight various other slaves to stay alive. When the human female is caught while salvaging and looking for an orb (the strongest power in the universe, used to power ships and anything else). The Toad master knows that the Aurelians will fight him and his men unless he uses the human female, as all Aurelians are sworn to protect anyone under their protection with their very life.

I don't want to give away too much, so I will stop there.

The story was not bad but I'm confused about several things:
First, the mental image I formed from the discription of the so called "Greek Gods" doesn't seem very God like to me. They are seven feet tall, which is tall but honestly not completely unheard of as far as humans are concerned. Why, then do these guys have such massave hands? Their fingers are repetely compared to a specific part of the male anatomy. If that's the case, these guys are tall with MASSIVE hands.
Second, why such an emphasis on the sexual humiliation and cruelty? I am a fan of BDSM but not so much being degraded. Just because you submit doesn't mean you have to give up your self respect. If a Dom can't show you respect then they should not be in a position of power.
Lastly, why do all human woman seem to not have a back bone, or self respect in this so called future world. I'm not a huge advocate for feminism but come on...can you really see thousands upon thousands of woman flocking to throw themselves at the feet of an alien race that treats them no better than slaves as part of a harem of hundreds of woman. Most of the woman I know would become so jealous that the poor man would fear for his life.

Jasmine is a young earth woman on a far away planet trying to find a treasure that will not only be worth a fortune once she sells it but will let her stop being a treasure hunter. She finds a downed centuries old Aurelian ship with two full orbs in it. But her attention gets focused on the orb that shows her images of three Aurelians. Then she;s rudely brought out of it when a Toad yells out she;s his to only be killed by her before his friends knock her out.Now she must be only a few of earth women who hate the Aurelians so her totally dumbfounded surprise is palpable when she is bought at an auction by a Toad and told she;s going to be given to three Aurelians. She;s shown to them and all are told that if they win the battle tomorrow they will be allowed to take her on the battle field then sold to a very distinguished Toad. They win, and when they take Jasmine, all three men are shocked to find that they are bonded together. Something that has not happened in centuries. Then they manage to escape back to their home planet. There they are greeted as great warriors and the King wants proof of their bonding. Now a new adventure is set into motion alongside of one dealing with politics.
This story will grab your attention from page one to the last page.

Worth the read

I am in two minds about this book. Although I enjoyed the storyline concept, I found it hard to accept the over the top domination of the female, to the point where she got off on humiliation.

Surprisingly good read - well written in an engaging writing style. A few noticed punctuation errors, but otherwise a smooth and entertaining read. FYI, this book is definitely in the kink category - public sex, humiliation, some BDSM. Although it is advertised as a 'dark' romance, it is fairly tame for dark romance genre and I would consider more kinky than dark.

The story grabs you quickly with the triad of Aurelians, Raegan, Karan, and Baldur are captured by Toad aliens and are forced to fight for their lives in an arena against a Scorp. When they survive, they are told that they will be pitted against an even greater foe - a Scorp queen. Their prize? Jasmine. A human that was abducted by Toads while she looted the downed ship of Raegan, Karan and Baldur. Turns out she is also fated to be their bonded mate. Que the public sex lolol. Shortly after they escape and make it back to their home world where they are celebrated as the first bonded triad in 3000 years. But not all is what it seems and a fellow Aurelian begins to plot to become the next emperor and restore the old ways - aka war, conquering, and slavery of human women for larger harems. Because honor is of utmost importance to the Aurelians, war is declared against the Toads that had captured the Triad to use as sport in their arena. While the Triad is away, Jasmine's parents are delivered to her and cause her to question 'I'm I here because I want to be? Or am I here because the bond forces me to want them?' Ultimately, she decides to go with her parents back to Tera (the Triad is fighting the Toads), where she realizes that yes, she does want to be with her Aurelians. But she is captured by those loyal to the rogue Aurelian and brought back to the Aurelian homeland. The Triad realizes what happened, and Raegan challenges the rogue Aurelian who eyes the crown to a duel where once again the prize is Jasmine. Although Raegan is victorious in the end, it costs him his life. However, the bond does more than strengthen the Triad, it allows Jasmine to absorb Raegan's soul until his body heals enough to support life. (Yay zombies?). The Triad is eventually declared the new emperors, with Jasmine as their queen and the salvation of their species. And more public sex - nothing says I’m your queen than getting some in front of all your subjects LOL. Anyway, a new era is born where Aurelians start to realize that humans have more to offer than being bits of fluff, and with the council of Queen Jasmine, changes are made to reduce centuries long tension between the two races. And they all live happily ever after.

As a side note, one thing that I was a little put off about was the premise that when a female bonds to her warriors she will go into a 'submissive heat' where all she can think about is how she can submit to them in any and all ways. Yes, kinky - but this seemed a bit over the top, especially when she can now live hundreds of years, and is now essentially a brood mare for the rest of her existence. Another thing that bothered me is that towards the end of the book when they finally win her heart, the triad says '…we want you to have what you always thought you would have - a place of honor and dignity at our side.' And then in the epilog, Jasmine goes back into heat and the triad turns into barbarians saying how the 'humiliation' she experienced before would be tame in comparison to what would happen this fertile cycle. Just a bit contradictory to me, but if you just consider it a fluff piece then it is easy enough to ignore. Overall, still a great book.

I was really into this book. It started out really good. I don't mind BDSM, as long as it's not too extreme. I don't like reading master, slave punishing relationships. There is nothing wrong with those who do enjoy it, it's just not something I'm into.

When I read the description of this book, it seemed to have it all, sci-fi, more than one super sexy alien love that would be devoted to their one true mate, and a super strong and feisty heroine. By the authors own description the female gave as good as she got, and was submissive to a point but still maintained her independence. According to the description on Kindle, these aliens, even though they are into BDSM and some rough sex still have a high regard for women. At the beginning of the book this seemed like the truth, however, once the aliens got back to their home world things were very different. Women weren't allowed to talk until they were spoken to, they were seen as pretty ornaments and wore see through clothing, at home she was allowed to be more verbal but never in public. The sex was rough, demanding, and domination and these are all aspects I love about a good sex scene. However, along with that it quickly morphed into degrading and humiliation. Those are things I do not care for. It killed the story line for me and I didn't finish reading the book or the others that I was looking forward to in the beginning.

There is nothing wrong with this as I said in the beginning, if that is what you are into then that is awesome. With this book I felt I was deceived by the author because of the description. The description didn't mention anything about possible triggers, or any of the other more extreme BDSM authors label their books with so as to not draw those that aren't into what they are writing about. As a matter of fact, I felt it was worded in a way that lead one to believe these types of things were not present in this novel. It was disappointing,

I didn't mind the story line, and the world inventive as well as the culture. I liked the characters and their personalities, but everything seemed to fall short once the past the beginning of the book even for the story line that I was interested in but I kept going and then the whole incident and complete U turn of the home world happened. Because I found the book entertaining in the beginning is the reason I'm giving this story 2 stars, otherwise it would be one for what I felt was done deliberately to increase readership.

Ok... Where do I even start?
This is an ALIEN ROMANCE with 3 males and 1 female. And you can't expect that much from these kinds of stories, so I was just trying to enjoy some romance without having to think that much, you know? I was NOT expecting much depth. But even with lower expectations, I was disappointed. No! Worse than that: I was DISGUSTED.
In the first pages, I was enjoying the story (not gonna give spoilers) but the story doesn't stick to the first scenario that long and, I believe, 80% or more of the "story" is in another situation.
The context and their alien race disgusted me, to be honest. And I could not bring myself to believe that there are THOUSANDS OF FEMALES (young and beautiful and slutty and submissive) throwing themselves in a situation that is very similar to slavery. Don't get me wrong, I do like some BDSM, but THIS?
Apparently ALL human females are just a bunch of desperate women that have NO SELF RESPECT OR LOVE. They LIVE like that, being no more than a couple of HOLES for these disgusting (YES, DISGUSTING! I don't care if they're all "hot" they are still a bunch of assholes) aliens to "enjoy". Oh, that's more! We (humans) need to pay FUCKING HIGH TAXES to them so they can "protect" us while looking down on us and living in such a luxury that made me get even angrier. Even the protagonist (Jasmine), I felt that she also started to look down on humans.
THEY NEED humans to bond, you know? Otherwise, sooner or later, it's "bye bye" to their race (a thing that I started to look forward to).
So, the background and world lore is THIS thing above. It's very rare for me to feel so disgusted to the point where I only kept reading I hope for a redemption (which doesn't happen).
And the worst thing is that there is NO ROMANCE. What the hell??? You CAN NOT call what I read "romance" AT ALL. It's lust, humiliation and a instinct to procreate. That's it. And the sex scenes are very... Difficult to believe sometimes. So the sex itself isn't even that good.
Can't say I enjoyed anything expect the arena part.
I don't recommend.
I bought the box version (with book 1,2 and 3). The second one I just saw some parts, because I felt even worse than the first one. The third... It's not as bad, and the female lead is way better.

Another good book about the alien Aurelian's. Story was excellent and exciting. And very, very HOT! Story centers around Jasmine, a female human and a triad of alien Aurelian men. Gorgeous, huge, 7 ft tall male aliens built like muscular gods. Huge body parts, especially male body parts. Jasmine gets kidnapped by a slave and taken to a planet. There she gets sold to a gross alien Toad. Also on the planet as prisoners are the triad fighting in their arena as entertainment.
All it takes is a whiff of Jasmine and the triad goes nuts. Aurelians can smell arousal and innocence in females and go nuts. It's called the Mating Rage. Once they reach that stage they can't control themselves.
They end up escaping with Jasmine and going to their home planet of Colossus. She ends of being the triads fated mate. She's the only female who can breed with them and give them Aurelian sons. Plus the aliens are dying out and haven't had any natural born sons in centuries. So of course they constantly breed her. They dominate her and make her submit to them. Personally I didn't like the way they treated her on this book. They were too dominant. I've read other books in this series where the aliens were dominant but not that bad. They were caring too.
Anyway, I do love this whole series and will continue reading it.

Three stars because it was short enough and I didn’t hate it enough to DNF.

My first clue should’ve been that I didn’t necessarily WANT to read this instead of doing housework.

As other reviewers have said, if humiliation is your kink, then this book might be for you. I don’t have a problem with exhibitionism, but when you have a strong-willed woman and basically make her into a sex toy, not fully against her will, but definitely not of her choice and add that it’s in front of hundreds of strangers…yeah, trying to justify it by saying that it’s human women’s biological imperative to want to be dominated by the Aurelian men is a stretch.

I did think that it was interesting the author made the submissive “urge” only be while the bond was active and it would go dormant while she’s pregnant and for a time after the birth, but it felt very Ice Planet Barbarian. Which I very much like, but it felt like the author wanted to utilize something that was already working for someone else and didn’t actually think about it.

Add in that now that she’s bonded to this species that lives thousands of years and will constantly go through this and have hundreds of babies? No, thank you.

Random typos throughout and I’m pretty sure the author didn’t go more than 10 pages without mentoring how much they look like Greek Gods means I won’t be reading anything else by this author.

I liked most of this book about a young woman fighting to survive in an alien world. The premise is pretty familiar given the subject matter, but the author took it a step further and provided us with additional alien life forms who make great villains and a storyline that added great detail above and beyond the reverse harem aspect. It was a hot and steamy read. I liked that she was feisty and I fell for Raegan. Not sure of the other two though. I was taken about by their attitude during her heat cycle and how they talked to her. I didn't feel as if there was enough detail to see an emotional connection between these two and her except for sex. I found it distasteful when they referred to her in a derogatory manner given she was their mate and eventually more. The public scenes were hard to read as well. If they cared about her, why would they subject her to that. The author did a great job of explaining part of it, but not so much in other parts. It was still an interesting read. I give credit to the creation of an alien world that took a great deal of thought and imagination.

Seldom write reviews

So, I gave this 3 stars instead of 2 because the imagination was there. It needs to be strengthened as well as an editor reading for errors such as scared instead of sacred. As well as redundancy. She doesn't like them because of her father. We get it. You do not need to tell this to your reader every time she looks upon the proud alien race she's going to eventually submit to. The sand scene with the toads is straight starwars so I struggled not picturing Princess Leia the whole time. It was still interesting though. Had a Thor Ragnarok, Star Wars, Greek feel to it. All in all it was a decent read. Not my favorite but I can see that the author has potential. I will follow to see if there is any future growth. Also, aftercare is pretty much an after thought in this and didn't happen till MUCH later in the scene. Having other women care for your submissive probably wouldn't happen especially if these breed of alien is so one track minded. They'd want to see to her comfort to continue their practice. Hopefully these are all filled out in the next works.

Imagine you are a 20 something year old woman, and you are caught to be sold as a slave. You are a virgin and you hate the race of aliens you will be given to. You are very strong willed, and you have been taking care of yourself for years, without protection, in a violence filled world.

You are chained to the cage that holds three huge 7 feet tall guys sporting massive erections, bigger than you have ever seen. They are naked without any weapons, and two of them have huge wounds. They tell you that you are under their protection, and to escape they will have to have very violent sex with you, in front of an entire crowd.

Obviously you object, because, you know, that sounds dangerous and violating and horrible.

But that one of those guys tells you that that is okay, because in that case he will sacrifice himself, but it will be because of you and he will hate you for it.

So instead of calling them out for their gross and malicious manipulation, you suddenly agree and think about how so very hot it will be to be fucked by three giants at the same time...

This was the moment I lost all interest in this story.

On the fence!

Okkaaay, I’m really not sure how I feel about this book so I’ll do my best to give you what I can do you can make a decision to read it or not.

So this is a sci fi RH, yes it’s in a series but can be read as a standalone as each book features a new relationship. Bare in mind it is a dark romance that features DOM/SUB relationship with loads BDSM scenes. So if you’re not completely comfortable with that then don’t read there are some humiliating scenes.

The characters are well developed and the plot twist is good however there are a few spelling and grammatical errors, and I felt that some parts were over written (you know like songs where artists over sing creating a bit of “overkill”) and therefore I skipped a bit. Also, it took a bit to capture my attention, I had no problem putting it down and start reading something else. I did finish though and you’ll be happy to know there’s no cliffhanger ending. (Like duh, I just mentioned it can be read as a standalone.)

Okay, so your first clue is in the title. This is a reverse harem story, so you are going to be reading sex scenes. If that isn't your thing, you should probably think twice about grabbing a reverse harem book. That being said, there aren't as many explicit scenes in this book as some others, based on the size of the story. This one involves a triad of alien males and a human female they are sworn to protect. The Earth is in a post-apocalyptic state. There are alien overloads as well as reptile and space bug aliens that are just, well, GROSS. This story starts with our heroine being kidnapped by said reptilian aliens and placed into slavery. Our heroes, who are also being held as slave/gladiators, are part of the alien race that is now ruling over the Earth. They are instantly drawn to her, but there is a lot to overcome before this group of people can find their HEA.

Could've been better

This book, while it was good, could've been much better. I loved the beginning. A strong female lead and hot alien men?? YES please!! They were basically equals until they bonded. I like the idea of more primal urges coming to fore-front in the characters, but it was almost like they lost themselves completely. Mostly on The female side. The sex scenes were definitely great, but I feel like there could have more of a relationship developed with the guys and their woman. Words of love or adoration are always a bonus instead of feelings being conveyed through a bond. They think of her as THEIRS; a posession. And that's what they tell her too. It's like their depending on the bond to do everything instead of taking the initiative and telling her how they feel-- if they feel anything at all. So, while I liked this book, and will most certainly read more from this author, 4 stars it is.

1.5 stars...The premise of being given to alien gladiators is one I like (and read before) and I was looking forward to diving into the Aurelian storyline for future reads but this is one of the few books I DNF. It's rare I just stop reading a book and I've read dominant/submissive, but this just fell short. It's too bad because I think it could have been well done.

The author tried to portray a heroine who likes submission, but it felt like she had a personality transplant over three pages. It goes from a strong, surviving heroine who is a virgin and has a personal vendetta against Aurelians to someone who likes being called a f- toy and kneeling on command and happy to be a mate. There isn't even really a description of her feeling the "bond" that sometimes allows the insta-love plot line to work.

Maybe there was a shift at some point, but based on other reviews that's not really the case so I moved on to something where I didn't have to cringe while reading.

Her three hot alien man

Jasmine thinks she hit the jackpot in her search for freedom, but she is taken instead and sold into slavery.
She hates Aurelians aliens, but those three are her rescuers. To escape with them she needs to let them take her virginity in front of the public watching the dead or alive games. They are all four in for a surprise, when she is their bonded mate.

What follows is a trip home and them taken really hot care of her. All three of them.
But when you think it is over then, no way, there is more in this story. Lots more.
Like them getting revenge on the aliens who took them and used them to fight.
But also against one of their own who wants to be the new emperor.

Great hot alien story, with three aliens taken real good care of their bonded mate. pfff so hot to read about her need for them and her need to be submissive.

Jasmine is just trying to survive by scavenging when she's taken by slavers. The head of the organization decides to use her as incentive for a triad of aliens. She's hated their kind all of her life, thanks to her dad's twisted view of life. Can she put aside that hatred to save all their lives?
Reagan, Karan and Baldur were left stranded by their fleet on a hostile planet and overpowered by the slavers there. They are made to fight for their lives in a gladiator arena. After winning their first fight, they are faced with escaping on their way to the second fight or saving the human dangled as their prize. Will it be worth the chance of losing one or all of their lives for her?
Wonderful book! Loved the characters and the story line. I could see this turning this into a series...

Needs more work but I want to read the next book

There's a lot going on in this story--enough for two books--one on the slaver planet and another about what happens on her mates' homeworld.

There are repetitive scenes and conversations that an editor can fix. Too much telling and not enough showing sucks the momentum and emotion out of the story. It also needs to go into more detail when describing the strategy-based scenes, like the fighting and when they were making escape plans.

This book irritated me so many times, almost constantly in the last half of the book. I found myself not liking what these characters were becoming thanks to the bond.

However, the big finale changed my mind enough that I want to see where the next book goes and how all of the changes are handled. Looking forward to the next book.
