The world has been a strange and often heartbreaking place since Guardian Costma and the New Regime took control, especially for Julianna and Declan. Their escape from the Scholars Compound was only the beginning … Now Julianna’s capture by the New Regime has sent shockwaves through their inner circle. As Declan fears for her life, he can find solace in the fact that his brother Colin is working on the inside to help Julianna find a way out. Everyone hopes she will be safe as long as Guardian believes she holds the key to Project Mnemosyne. Then again, Julianna is the most powerful face of the Apostasy. Will Guardian sacrifice his chance of recovering Mnemosyne to make an example of her to the Apostasy and any other would-be rebels? And even if she does escape, what can the future hold for the Scholars? Will they ever regain the normalcy they seek? Or is normal overrated? All questions will be answered in this final installment of the “When No One Was Looking” trilogy.
Kim Frauli's The Last Project completes the Project Mnemosyne/When No-one Was Looking series, in fine style. Scholar and figurehead for the Apostasy rebel forces, Julianna has been seized by Guardian Costma's ruling elite forces of the New Regime. As long as the guardian believes Julianna's secret knowledge is key to unlocking the power of the Mnemosyne Project, her life will be safe. However if/when that takes place, Julianna's fellow Scholar and Apostasy leader Declan fears for her life and is desperate to rescue her, before she's executed to deter all rebels from uprising against the status quo. Can Julianna escape before she's forced to betray those depending on her? All will be revealed in The Last Project - a statutory tale for the modern age, that begs the question who guards the Guardians /Government? If we don't hold them accountable, are we as much to blame if they do wrong in our name? Get all three books now and buckle up for an exciting ride!
Wonderful, wonderful series! It's intriguing, suspenseful, clean, and fun dystopian. There's a really great warning for us with this finale. Kim Frauli wrote a great trilogy and I'm pretty sure the first book is offered for free, so you should definitely check it out.
