Dear Heart: The Letter Chronicles

I absolutely, positively, loved this novella. While I've read several of Natavia's books, this one so far is my fave. The setting/time period in which the story was told (late 80's) kept me captivated. From Heart's dedication to her father Brodie, to her love for Hamisi, this was a wonderful read. From Heart's transformation to Jared as well as the dialogue, there were several comical parts that kept me giggling. I am so looking forward to the remaining novellas in this series. Great read

5 🌟 hands down!!!
Yasssssssss this couldn't have ended any better. It was so many twist and turns that it scares me for a minute. Who would have known from Heart literally becoming Jared it would lead her to finding the love of her life in Hamisi. It was a beautiful story and sad what love ones would do for power. Very suprised
I decided to pick up this book based on the numerous 5 star reviews, and I must say that I'm shocked there were so many. I will say that the story line was very original, in fact I don't think I have seen it before in urban fiction which is amazing! I love to see authors step outside of the norm. Although the storyline is original the delivery is horrible, I think that the dialogue was lacking a natural flow conversations seemed forced, sex scenes lacked passion and seemed dry. Again concept is A1 and that's why I gave the book 2 stars rather than 1.

Wow, I really enjoyed this book. It was awesome. I loved the comedy, drama and the passionate love between Hamisi and Heart. They had great chemistry and were totally meant for each other. I highly recommend this book. Great read! Great job, Natavia! I look forward to reading your next book.

Dear Heart
This story was a winner! I loved the drama and the suspense. Heart was a well written character and I thoroughly enjoyed her take no mess attitude.
Natavia is growing with each new story and I can't wait for the next one! Bravo!

Throughout the year Natavia has become one of my favorite authors. This novella was nothing short of great. Heart is a tough chick, literally. For this to have been a novella it wasn’t as short as others. It gave enough background information while jumping right into the storyline. Hamisi is a mess. Crazy as hell. But what the heart wants the heart gets. I’m glad they got their happy ending. I loved how Natavia displayed the growth of both characters in such a short time.

Who Run The World? Girls!!!
This was my first read my Queen Batavia and she did not disappoint. I was gonna read "My G" and after reading some of the reviews, they were bragging about "Dear, Heart", so I decided to read that first. Bay-be that book right there just spoke volumes to that shit we go through as women. The sacrifices we make for our family and their happiness, while more times than none, we're putting our happiness and dreams on the back burner.
I freakin loved Heart, she embodied Jared and most definitely had more heart than her bit** a** selfish a** daddy. Sis effed up when she mixed business with pleasure. Fu**ed up even more given Hasimi the 😺with no glove and them disappearing. Had that ni**a sending the goons after that😺💀😂😂😂😂.
Hamisi could get it, Oh-kay😜! That ni**a was a super ho*, but everybody noticed the change in him once he met and fell for Heart and they couldn't stand it. He acted a while fool behind sis. That's the one thing I can and with Sammie on "you can give a ni**a with power something different and have it attached to some bomb a**😺 and think he ain't gonna be looking for you".
I was kinda surprised by Sammie betrayal, but that damn Stephon was leaving his rat scent everywhere🤣. Then her daddy was a whole bit** ni**a out here in these streets, well in his case jail. He was a jealous vindictive phuck ni**a cause his daughter ended up stepping into his role and doing that shi* way better and mucking way more money than him.
Everybody got their karma for coming for Heart & Hasimi.

This story was 1 for the ages, for sure! It took me back to some of the weird fashions common in the 80s + the plot twists kept me glued to the Kindle app on my tablet. I liked how Heart could (almost) seamlessly shift from her biological self to her alter ego, Jared. While reading, I was nervous about her potentially crossing the 2 up and blowing her cover, which would have been a guaranteed death sentence for her had Hamisi found her out sooner than he did.
It was evident, early on, that Heart wasn't built for the madness that her father knowingly threw her into, all because of his own mistakes and poor decisions. Somehow, she made it work for her, until it no longer served its intended purpose.
The plot was nothing short of adventurous and will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Good Book💣🔥💣🔥
This book was soooooooo good and juicy. I literally read it over and over back to back. I'm still tripping on how Brodie transformed Heart to Jared to be the face of his empire while he did his bid. I like the closeness Sammie and Heart had even though his loyalty was with Brodie. I'm glad he couldn't do the last order Brodie gave him. It was love at first sight when Heart first saw Hamisi even though she was in Jared form. Hamisi was the man and he laid claim on Heart even though she fought him every step along the way. It was laughing when he put a bounty out on her and how he help her hostage at the club and his house. I love the ending of the book which was fast forward of their life now.

Man i sware natavia is the TRUTH!! I have never read a low budget book by her❤❤ she never makes us wait long and all her books have passion .
Heart and Haminisi ( spelled wrong lol) was such a good couple and the sec scenes was 😱😱 i was worried about heart when he found out her secret .... but he couldn't deny the love he had for her . I love how it was based in the 80's and we were able to see were they ended up ! Stephon was definitely a nusiance . And i had a feeling about that fool . I thought Brodie was a decent father at first......

Great read
I really enjoyed reading this book, had me laughing a lot too. It was really funny how Heart was playing Jared and all they lady’s was on her but whole time she wasn’t a he. 😭😭 live that Hear and Hamisi became a beautiful couple.
I’m mad Sammie got killed, I really thought he was gonna soften up and be down with heart but because he picked Brodie, that is where he messed up. Anyway. I loved this book. Can’t wait to see what book I’m gonna read next from this Author.

The reason I gave 1 Star on this book is because although the storyline is great, the actual storytelling is kinda hard to look passed. For example, the dialogue tags such as he replied, she replied, he said, she said throws the stories off. It’s used so excessively that it’s hard to be overlooked. It caused the story to not flow like it should.Honestly, I don’t think it’s needed every single time someone says something. It’s like that in all of her books. When I read a book, I want to be so engrossed in it that I feel like I’m watching a movie. That’s how stories should be. Again, she has some good storylines. They are all so unique and original, but the actual delivery of telling the story doesn’t flow as it should in my honest opinion. I do feel that her writing skills are VERY immature. I’ve been reading her books for a while but after I begin to read other books I noticed a huge difference. Now that I’ve ventured out and read more high leveled books I’ve realized that her books are definitely not for me anymore. It has been challenging to even finish them, most of the time I didn’t. My recommendation for her is to enroll in some English writing courses. Out of all the books I’ve read over the years, hers are on the lowest level. Cool storylines, horrible storytelling.

Captivating
This is the first book I've ever read from this author. This book had me on edge from the beginning. Dear Heart is a jaw dropping story that had me biting my nails and having bubble guts at the same time lol. I was that nervous throughout this book. I thought Heart was going to be found out long before she actually did. That was LOYALTY at its finest. Brodie is a mitch though. I'm glad things worked out in Stephon's favor lol. I loved this story and can't wait to read more from this author.

Short and cute
I really like Natavia writing style. I thought the story flowed perfectly. Once I started, I couldn't stop. I really liked Heart aka Jared and I wanted to see more of Sammie and their relationship. I was a little disappointed with some of her emotions to certain events. Her words didn't match the emotions I expected. Hamisi was that dude. Alpha, ruthless and sexy as hell...overall, this was a good light read that I really enjoyed. Definitely will be reading more of this author

I loved the old school vibe! And it was a lonngggggg novella! That's what I'm talking about! Hamisi! Was the man !! I loved Jared/Heart too, he was so thurl, I loved how Hamish gave heart her props on pulling it off. So I hope you know we're Houghton wanna know about the children. I can already smell their book 😂😂, great job! Bring in Damages spinoff 💃

Enjoyed this book!
It was interesting to see how Heart juggled her life being herself and Jared. She was a no nonsense type of person from the beginning to the end. I was glad when she decided to remain true to herself and fell in love with Hamisi. Her father was worthless and only using her to get what he wanted, but she eventually allowed her heart to win. Hamisi was the MAN!!!

A Decent Book.😋
Although Natavia is 1 of my Favorite Authors, 'Dear Heart: The Letter Chronicles", was Not my fave book by her. The writing and style were Good, BUT..........the story Didn't necessarily "Resonate" with Me.😩😞 I just felt the storyline wasn't really realistic, at times and overall, it was just "Okay"!👌 However, I Am STILL a Natavia Fan and I STILL look forward-to some of her other books & upcoming, future stories.........🙄

Loved it!!!
Dear Heart was a amazing story from beginning to end. First let me start by saying Brodie sucks as afather...Heart did her best keeping the Jared secret from Hamisi. I was scared for Heart when she found out she was pregnant I thought Hamisi was going to kill her... I'm so glad he didn't. I really liked Sammie and hate he died... He really loved Heart /Jared he was just loyal to the wrong person. Natavia you never disappoint... This book is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Amazing
I've had this book in my kindle for days not wanting to read it because I knew it was a novella and I was going to be mad when it ended and I'm PISSED😃 Natavia is truly blessed ALL of her books are 5 star books. Dear Heart was a great book. The book is different from the traditional hood romances. The story deals with characters Heart/Jared and Hasmini and it's set during the 80's. I'm excited to read the other Letter Chronicles.

Book worm
I hated that this book ended it was great. I really enjoyed the chemistry that Heart and Hamisi had. Hamisi started pissing me off with the way he treated Heart once he found out of everything that was going on. I was glad his sister gave her some advice on how to turn his feelings around and stop fighting against him and that worked out for the better for their relationship. I hated that her father and his best friend turned on them and started to plot against them.

LOVED IT
A very refreshing, beautiful, and well written love story. I was immediately drawn in from the very firat page. I really didnt think Heart was going to last as long as she did as Jared but she wasnt to be played with either. Not only did this book center around finding that true love but their was also honestly and loyalty. I love Natavia's writing style and I look forward to reading more of her work. Highly recommend reading this book.

This book had a good spin to it. Heart played the double life to perfection. In the process she fell in 💘 with the top drug dealer Hamisi. I enjoyed the book not only for the storyline but also the familiar areas mentioned like Laham, MD in PG County and Annapolis in AA County. I would recommend any 📚 by author Natavia, my hometown writer.

What an amazing story!!!... Definitely knocked this one out of the park!!!... Heart's daddy know he was dead wrong for trying to set his daughter up like that!!... Sucked that Sammie lost his life in such a manner!!!...

What happened?
I love love lovvvvvee Natavia!!! But what was this? This was very hard to read. I struggled to finish. I was excited to read after seeing the other reviews but was disappointed. This is also an older book. So if you’re reading this don’t let it stop you from reading her other books because she’s that girl with this writing $h!t. This is just my opinion on this particular book.
