***** "Revived by Love" (Remington Kindle World Series) by Stacy Eaton

PREFACE TO REVIEW: While "Revived by Love" is a stand alone novella, it carries over several characters and story lines from "Cured by Love," the first novel Stacy wrote in the Remington Kindle World Series published May 2015.

REVIEW:
When Stacy Eaton released her first Remington Kindle World novel, "Cured by Love," (my review is one of the very first for the blog) she knocked it out of the park. With her second Remington Kindle World novella, "Revived by Love," she hit a grand slam. While neither of these spin offs involve baseball or sports, the analogy is fitting....as are the 5 star and A+ reviews.

I loved how the novella begins picking up with Ryan and Dina's engagement and carrying over Stuart and Wendy and several other characters for a New Year's bash and how it sets up the story of the main characters Mark and Joanne. It was a great way to bring back a lot of the characters and very small reminders from the first novel, while setting this one up as a compelling and very different novel.

Stacy Eaton has an amazing way of writing very realistic storylines that grab and bring the reader into the novel from word one and never lets them go until long after the story has ended. The reader is left thinking and analyzing and wanting to know more.

Her characters are always so well written, which continually adds to the realism of her books. They are endearing and strong "humans" with flaws and who make mistakes, yet are captivating and invigorating, which adds to their relatability; even those the reader dislike (ok, maybe they aren't endearing...and strong can mean several things).

I love the storyline of "Revived by Love" and it's twist and turns and the unforeseen and surprising ending.

This novella is another on a long line of amazing books by Stacy Eaton...and another to be read soon...definitely put it at the top of your TBR list.

"4.5 stars" Revived is the second book in Stacy Eaton’s contemporary, medical romance series, Heal Me. Walker is an emergency medicine pediatrician who is good friends with Cole, the hero of the first book, Cured. Jasmine is the sister of Cole’s new step-father, Stewart, who is considerably younger than his mother. Walker and Jasmine meet at a New Year’s Eve party at Stewart’s house, where they share an earth-shattering kiss at midnight. However, they’re interrupted and Jasmine flees, leaving Walker thinking they’ll never see each other again. For Jasmine the kiss provided the much-needed impetus to finally serve her philandering husband with divorce papers, but two months later, he’s still reluctant to sign. Walker and Jasmine reunite when an accident leaves her young son, Tony, fighting for his life after falling through the ice in a lake, and Walker is called in by Stewart to consult on his case. Once Tony is out of the woods, they have a heart-to-heart about what happened on New Year’s Eve, and Walker finds himself falling for both Jasmine and her son, but Jasmine needs to get her life in order first and find a way to get her husband to let her go. Before that can happen, though, Tony’s wish to invite Walker to his birthday party brings them back together once more. This time, Walker is determined never to let them go without a fight as long as Jasmine gives him hope of a future together. She’s eager for that to happen, but with her husband now making noise about trying to take custody of Tony away from her, even though he hasn’t seen the boy in six weeks and had never been much of a father in the first place, they could have a fight on their hands.

Walker loves kids and has always wanted to have a family, but he hasn’t found the right woman yet. His New Year’s kiss with Jasmine leaves him stunned and wanting more, but the woman he brought to the party as his plus one interrupts them. She’s nothing more than a friend to him, but she felt otherwise and her unfortunate timing drives Jasmine away. Walker thinks he’ll never see his mystery woman again until she appears in his emergency room with her son’s life hanging in the balance. Not wanting an awkward scene at such a sensitive time, he hides his identity behind a medical mask, so it’s not until later that she finally realizes who he is. Still, he keeps his focus on Tony until the boy is out of the woods. Then Walker and Jasmine discuss what happened between them. Once he realizes she’s about to be divorced, he decides to pursue her if that’s what she wants, too. She’s open to the idea, but thinks it’s best to finalize her divorce first and focus on her son who still isn’t talking, which Walker believes is psychological in nature. It’s not until Jasmine calls to invite Walker to Tony’s birthday party that they finally reunite for good, and this time, Walker isn’t leaving even though Jasmine’s husband is making things difficult for them. Walker is a fantastic guy, a great pediatrician who’s wonderful with kids and who’s more of a real father to Tony than his biological dad. He’s also loving and sweet toward Jasmine, giving her time and space, even though it’s hard for him, and he doesn’t stop thinking about her when they’re apart. I also love how protective he is toward her when her soon-to-be ex starts making trouble.

With her husband away on business a lot, Jasmine is practically a single mom already. Even when he’s home, he isn’t much of a husband or a father, and she knows that he’s been cheating on her with multiple women. Still, it’s been hard for her to take that final step to end her marriage. However, her bold come-hither look sent Walker’s way on New Year’s Eve leads to a searing kiss that reminds her of her value, so that she finally gives her husband the divorce papers she’d had drawn up. Even though she thinks the kiss was a mistake because of the woman who interrupted them, she hasn’t stopped thinking of Walker. When her son falls through the ice and is left fighting for his life, her brother, Stewart, asks Walker to consult on the case. The masked doctor seems oddly familiar, but she’s so focused on Tony that she doesn’t think much about it until she sees him unmasked in the corridor later. They decide to keep their attention on Tony for the time being, and Jasmine is beyond thrilled with the care and kindness Walker shows toward her son. Once Tony is better, he blossoms under Walker’s attention. Although both Jasmine and Walker want to pick up where they left off, she thinks it might be better to wait a little while until she can get her life in order, but when Walker comes to Tony’s party, she knows she wants a future with him if only they can find a way to get her husband out of her life. Jasmine is a great mother, always looking out for her son’s best interests and taking wonderful care of him. She didn’t deserve the cold fish of a husband she ended up with and I’m glad that she found a great guy like Walker to help her rebuild her life.

Revived is basically a longer novella of about 150 pages and the shortest book in the series as well, so the plot and characterizations aren’t super-involved. However, for a shorter format, it’s still very good. I liked both Walker and Jasmine, as well as little Tony. Walker was ready for something real with the right person, and he helps Jasmine to see she’s still a desirable woman in spite of her husband’s cheating and coldness that’s beaten her down a bit. Tony is adorable and rendered very age-appropriately. His reasons for not talking after the accident really hit me in the feels. I like how the book ended with a much-deserved comeuppance for Jasmine’s soon-to-be ex. In spite of my enjoying most of the story, it wasn’t without a few flaws, which is why I dropped a half-star from the rating. Much like with the first book, a few more contractions were needed in the dialogue to keep it from sounding too formal and the wording in a few places could have been smoother. Also, while not exactly steamy, the first book did have at least one (maybe more) sensual love scenes, while this one fades to black. It would have been nice to have at least one love scene written out in a bit more detail to help solidify Walker and Jasmine’s love for one another, but in the grand scheme of things, it wasn’t a deal-breaker for me. In some ways, I liked this book slightly better than the first one, which is why it got a half-star higher rating. Revived is an emotional story that had many of the key elements I look for in a good romance, and Walker, Jasmine, and Tony as a family unit were perfection. In that respect, I couldn’t have asked for more. I very much look forward to continuing the series. The next book, Mended, is about Tucker, the police officer who was briefly seen in this book, helping to save Tony’s life.

The opening scene of Revived by Love is really powerful. Two strong characters, drawn to each other. Little did either know the path they would have to follow to each other. The storyline was very realistic and I felt I was living it along with the characters. Mark is a strong, alpha character. Where can I get me one? I really enjoyed this story and the glimpse into the lives of former KW characters by Ms. Eaton. Great read.

Loving this series

A beautiful story of love at first sight and how our main characters have to fight many obstacles to be together. I cried reading this as Jasmine almost loses everything and Walker fights to prove that he will always be there for her. Wonderful story.

At a party on New Years Eve, paediatrician Mark Ellis kisses a stranger...who then disappears. He's intrigued by her, and keeps thinking about her...unable to forget that kiss.

Joanne Ward had kissed a stranger at a New Years Eve party, which only helped to confirm that she divorce her philandering husband and begin a new life with her son.
When her son accidentally falls through some ice in Central Park, he is rushed to hospital...where she comes face to face with her mystery man from new years.

This is another great read from Stacy Eaton, who manages to fit right into Melissa Foster's Remington world seamlessly. Although this is only a novella the storyline, characters, and angst are all conveyed brilliantly throughout.

Once again we meet up with Dex & Ellie (from Melissa Foster's Game of Love) and also Ryan & Dina (from Stacy's first Remington KW book: Cured by Love).

I love these spin-off books of the Remington's, and hope there will be more to come.

Wow. Ever have one of those life altering moments? Something happens to change your course? For Joanne and mark a new year's kiss does just that and neither of them can stop thinking about that kiss.. Will the kiss lead to more? Read.

Stacy Eaton has done it again. it is a read alone but so much more fun when you know the Remingtons and the tie in to "Cured by Love" is wonderful!. It sucks you in and won't let you go. I couldn't put it down.

I adore Stacy's relatable characters, situations and dialogue. This is a must read.

Revived by Love is another great book written by Stacy Eaton. I loved everything about this book. The intermingling of characters from previous stories, the romance, and the storyline made for a great, quick read.
The initial meet up between Mark and Joanne was the epitome of attraction at first sight. When they meet again, even during a very trying time, the chemistry just jumps off of the page.
The details, emotions, and characters written by Stacy make this an easily recommended book.

I was given this book for an honest review and was hooked all the way through. I have never read a book from Stacy Eaton but loved her style of writing and the back and forth POV from the leading characters, Joanne Ward and Dr Mark Ellis.
Joanne and Mark meet New Years eve at a party thrown by mutual friends. When they lock eyes together the chemistry between them is undeniable. With Joanne in a bad marriage, she is not ready for the sizzling kiss that the two of them create. She leaves with out getting his name. Joanne finds the strength from that kiss to end her loveless marriage.
Months later when tragedy strikes Joanne finds herself back in contact with the handsome man she has not been able to forget. When her son Tony almost drowns she finds out her son's doctor, is the very man she can't forget about. Mark is a Pediatrician and is shocked when he walks in and finds the woman he can't forget about here with her injured son.
Can these two people build on these sparks that consume them...This is a must read if you enjoy the world around Dex and Elle Remington. You will enjoy this book full of love and friendship.

As always with Stacy Eaton's books once I start reading I don't want to put it down. Mark Ellis kissed a mystery woman on New Years Eve. Before he got her name she ran out because his friend came looking for him and she got the wrong idea. Several months later Dr. Mark was called to the hospital for a drowning child, who just happens to be related to his best friends step-father. When he sees the mother he realizes that it is his mystery woman. He tries to hide his identity from her. He then finds out that she had s married.... He has to focus on saving her son. She leads him to believe the kiss meant nothing and she was just mad at her husband or did it mean more than she lets on? Mark is determined to save her son and becomes very attached to Tony and will do anything for him. Can he learn more about the mystery woman who has haunted his dreams since their first kiss or is she still in love with her husband. Tony will also do what he needs to do to be happy.... This is a must read romance novel that had some surprises and twists to it. I received this book as an ARC in return for an honest review.

Revived by Love was another home run by author Stacy Eaton! It was nice to see the tie in back to characters in her first Remingtons Kindle Worlds novella, Cured by Love. I completely got swept up in Mark and Joanne's dramatic experience that brings them together even closer as they get to know each other through their very unusual circumstances. Despite it being a novella, Eaton did a killer job fleshing out her characters and making them robust, believable, and lovable (or not, as is the case with Joanne's husband. I wanted to smack him myself!). There are many tender moments, and Eaton did an amazing job showing how there can be so much spark, sizzle, and anticipation without pulling back the curtain the whole way in the bedroom. I was rooting for this couple all the way until the very end, and I like how she worked out the ending with the husband. Very nicely done. Can't wait to read her next Remingtons Kindle Worlds novella.

Another Beautiful romance by the amazing Stacy Eaton. After reading the first chapter I was totally and completely pulled in. what an awesome story. I wasn't sure how it would go. but I'm very happy with the outcome!!

Mark Ellis can't get this woman out of his head, so what happens when she shows up? an amazing story, that's what.
Joanne Wade isn't living the life she dreamed at a young age. everything has changed and she's ready to get out of her current predicament. but she's going to hold on to her most precious being and fight for his life and hers. When she reconnects with her New Years mystery man, she finds out he's everything shes been needing and then some.

check out this amazing Kindle world spin off. even if you haven't read the others, that's ok. It's still an amazing story of overcoming life's obstacles.

This book is a great addition to the Remington Kindle World books inspired by Melissa Foster’s Remingtons. I loved it. I was falling in love with Mark almost from the beginning. By the end of the book I was his. He is so caring, strong and protective. Joanne and her son Tony are wonderful characters too. I could feel for Joanne and all she was going through. I admired her strength. Tony is so cute and I just love everything about him. Stacy does an amazing job making the characters in her book come to life on the page.
I really love how Dex Remington comes into play in this story. What I loved most about this book is despite this being a stand-alone novella it connects to her first Remington Kindle World book, Cured by Love. I loved having Ryan Wilde and Dina Greene in this book too.

Revived by Love is a great spring-off on Eaton's Kindle World book Cured by Love. She kept the books related but still easy to read stand-along books by giving you just enough about the last story to make the connection. But I would suggest also reading Cured by Love-for it was great too. The story line is believable, interesting keeping your attention with great dialogue including the dialogue from Tony the 7 year old. Even though you probably can figure out the outcome that Joanne and Mark will get together and will live happily ever after (something we all want for them and in our own lives)....it is the way Stacy Eaton gets there that is so intriguing and keeps you connected. Although the story starts on a note of 'Lust' it continues as a warm true love story.

One New Year's Eve kiss with a stranger changes everything. Joanne finally has the courage to divorce her cheating husband. Mark cannot stop thinking about the woman he kissed. When Joanne's son ends up being his patient, they meet again. Is fate throwing them together? Is it meant to be? This book captured my attention from the start, and I was totally hooked. An excellent read!

Revived
Heal Me Series, Book 2
By: Stacy Eaton
Narrated by: Justin Hale, M.K. Blackwood

This sweet romance is a quick romance was the perfect listen for my Tuesday afternoon. Meet Jasmine. Mistreated and cheated on, she is ready to divorce her husband. Grabbing a New Year's Kiss from a stranger will just seal the deal with herself after serving him the papers. But the incredible feeling had her running before any introductions could be made. Now the man that she kissed is the one that could save her son's life. Walker has not forgotten the beautiful woman who kissed him on New Year's Eve. When she shows up in his ER with her son, he does what he has to. His best to save the boy and his best to woo the woman. But Jasmine's ex isn't going to let go that easily. Will Walker save her son? Will these two find their happily ever after? This is scary for a mom to read because the circumstances are all to normal! I shuttered and hoped and prayed right along Jasmine. Walker is a rock, and I love his protective nature. It's a fun listen and great addition to the series.

The narration is spot on for the characters in this gem. Justin Hale is perfect as Walker. A swoony doctor voice, with a hint of alpha protectiveness make him a wonderful man! MK Blackwood gives us the array of emotions that Jasmine goes through, from dealing with her ex, the fear of losing her child along with the guilt she feels and the passion ignited with Walker. It's a great performance and enjoyable listen.

This is the second book in the series, and I loved it! Colt Barnes is best friends with Walker Hunt who is a pediatrician. Colt and Ember’s story was the first book. Walker is at a New Year’s Eve party at Stewart’s house who is Colt’s step father. (Stewart is 20 years younger than his wife.). Walker’s eye catcehes a beautiful woman at the party. He follows her back to a room where they end up having a life changing New Year’s Eve kiss. Her name is Jasmine and she is Stewart’s married sister. But she leaves before Walker can get her name. Jasmine’s husband is such a horrible person, I can’t believe she ever married him. She asks for a divorce when he gets home on New Year’s Day.

Six months later, Colt, Walker, and Stewart are out when Stewart gets a call from his sister that her six year old son fell in the lake and was under water for seven minutes. As he is rushing out, Walker gets a call about a six year old drowning. They all go to the hospital where Walker’s call is Jasmine’s son Tony. I thought a lot about Walker the way he tried not to make Jasmine feel uncomfortable to see him after six months. Jasmine’s husband is a surprise to Walker. Her husband shows his inhumanity by how he treats his son. Of course, this makes Walker furious. I loved Tony and how smart he was for his age. He had my heart in the book. This is such a good story. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

Walker Hunt attends a New Year’s Eve party at his best friend, Colt’s house. Walker was feeling a little on edge because everyone there was coupled up.
Jasmine Willows attends the same New Year’s party and was feeling a little on edge because everyone there was coupled up and her husband had failed to show up again. Jasmine had warned her husband, Robert, that if he did not show up it was all over.
Walker looked up and Jasmine caught his eye. There were sparks that Walker had never felt anything like before. Jasmine locks her gaze on Walker and then turns around and walks down the hallway to the guest room. Walker could not help but follow. When the clock strikes midnight, Walker and Jasmine fall into each other’s arms and shares a kiss that left them both weak. When they are interrupted, Jasmine fleas without finding out his name or giving Walker hers.
Six weeks later Walker is called to the ER for a little boy that has fallen in the icy lake. Lo and behold the women of his dreams is the little boy’s mother. So much he didn’t know about her including that she was married. Walker is furious that she had kissed him when she was not available.
When Walker finally calms down and lets Jasmine explain he finds out that she had filed for divorce but her husband would not sign the papers.
Come along on Walker and Jasmine’s journey, you will be glad that you did.
A wonderful story from Stacy Eaton. This is book two of the Heal Me Series.

This is the kind of romance that's perfect as a palate cleanser and a story of true love. Jasmine's marriage is hanging on by a thread, with a husband who cheats and mistreats her. On New Year's Eve, Jasmine went to a party at her uncle's and runs into a hunk of a man, Walker Hunt. They spot each other, are intrigued and share a midnight kiss, but Jasmine sees him with another woman and leaves. A few months later, Jasmine's son Tony, falls through the ice and is in the ER and who should walk in but Walker Hunt, the doctor on duty. He does everything he can but he's in a coma and now the only thing Jasmine can do is hope. Her soon-to-be ex comes barreling in, barking out orders and announcing that his son will no longer be his son if he comes out of this with any sort of disability. When Tony finally wakes up, he doesn't talk and no matter what Walker tries with him, he either can't or won't speak. As they spend time together, Jasmine and Walker become closer and once Walker gets an earful from Jasmine's husband, he is sure that he's going to protect both Tony and Jasmine forever. This is a sweet, with little angst, love story that is just what I needed. Justin Hale and M K Blackwood do a marvelous job with the narration. Their dynamic voices, with the right intonation and pace, bring life to all of the characters.

Jasmine has been in a loveless marriage for so long that she forgot what it`s like to even love or be loved by someone else then her son.
Walker Hunt is a cute sexy doctor that has no problem having nurses and other women drool over him but none of them can make him feel anything worthy of his time.
When the two collide for the first time; sparks fly and the steamy short moment they share keeps them thinking about each other for months even thou they don`t know each other`s identity.
When Tony, Jasmine`s son, is brought to the hospital hanging between life and death, the two recognize each other and the memory of their first encounter keeps on pulling them towards each other like magnets.
I like the way they met and how this story goes. The medical situation and Jasmine`s marital problems add a little action to this story. I was very glad to get to hear about characters from the previous book in the series; Cured. This book could be read as a standalone but it`s nice to read the first one and see how the characters are connected to this book and how their lives are evolving. I`m looking forward to read the next in line: Mended.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Jasmine & Walker: triggers- infidelity, mental health. The romance is very bland but the story is good. It reminds me of those Christian movies where there's something traumatic that happens and then... A miracle; but mixed in with naughty things like infidelity. Spice factor is about 1/2 a 🌶️ more like a 🫑. Drama is about a 3 😮😮😮. Narrators - female narrator is good but the male narrator, makes the make character sound like he's pushing 70 or 80 when the character is more like in his 30s or 40s and is supposed to be sexy. I'm not sure who the target is got this author not I'm not it. This is definitely not my jam
I need more of everything in my romance books. More romance, more sex, more relationship building, less cheating and a narrator that make you squirm when you hear his voice, like Joe Arden, Sebastian York, Mason Lloyd and Aiden Snow. Not if I can endure the other ARCs from this author but I will try.

This is book two in the series and while it can be read as a standalone, it is nice to follow along since characters from the previous book are the supporting cast for this one. I really enjoyed this story. There are some ups and downs but nothing that makes you feel like you are emotionally exhausted. The characters are relatable and grow with each page so that you get a complete view of who they are. Jasmine is such a strong character in the way that she learns to stand up for herself, for her son, etc. I also enjoyed the look into how dysfunctional relationships can affect childern more than people realize and how kids process information. I love that this wasn't just the coming together of two people but of a whole family. It progesses naturally and is really sweet. PS I love the twist at the end. It's a brilliant play! Check it out. You'll adore it.

Jasmine and Walker share a connection the moment their eyes meet across the room at a NYE party. When he follows her into one the bedrooms, they share a kiss that neither one of them will ever forget! When Walker's "date" confronts them, Jasmine leaves without a giving him her name...not happy that the best kiss of her life was with a "cheater"! Several months later they meet again when Walker saves her son Tony, when he almost drowns in a lake. Walker is excited to see her again and wants to explain to her about his NYE "date" once her son is in stable condition. Unfortunately for Walker, he discovers that Jasmine did not quite tell him the truth about her relationship status NYE either! Great read to see how they overcome all their obstacles to get to their HEA!

Yep, I'm with the crowd on this one, to a point. Well written romance with some great character development, an awesome plot that moves right along, clean editing, and just one minor flaw; NO REAL SPICE! We make it to the bedroom and then poof, it's morning. Come on, give us a little more heat, something to bring the sweat out on the brow, among other places. So close to a five it almost hurts. But then, some probably like it cool, hence the 5 star reviews.

Walker and Jasmine shared a passionate kiss in New Year’s Eve. After that, they never see each other, they didn’t know their names. But when Walker goes into the emergency room trying to salve a six year old life after almost drowning, the mother is the woman he is been thinking for the last several months. But she is married. Can they fight their attraction or will Walker and Jasmine really have a chance at love and happiness?

Wonderful dual narration from Justin Hale and M.K. Blackwood

Jasmine is ready to divorce her husband, who has cheated on her. On New Year she kisses a stranger. No names, just a wonderful kiss. Walker has not forgotten the beautiful woman who kissed him. When she shows up in his ER with her son, he does what he has to. His best to save the boy. He wants both of them in his life. Only problem is Jasmine's ex isn't going to let go that easily. An amazing story.

Tony Jasmine and Walker

This book is full of trouble, love and hate written with feeling. It's hard to put down as you have to see if the next part of the story is going to come out ok.
This is a great book for a. Lazy afternoon read.
